This place is probably the best Japanese place in Tucson . I've enjoyed everything on the menu, my personal favorites are the tonkotsu ramen and sukiyaki chicken. This place is a must , the owners are great people as well

Been going to Ikkyu since it opened. Lori and Hiro are great with a growing staff. I had the Ramen Tonkatsu bowl and it was the best. This the place for fresh Ramen noodles. I also recommend the Spicy Tuna Don and the Spicy Tuna Don Volcano Style. ENJOY!

This is place is phenomenal. The food is very authentic and their staff friendly. It gets pretty busy around lunch time, but is totally worth a little bit of standing in line.

Best Ramen in town with an awesome family running the place. They serve it Thursday-Saturday but they serve all kinds of delicious plates like the Spicy Tuna Don, Volcano Style. On point. Been going for a while but finally decided to review. Couldn't recommend this place more.

We have been enjoying ikkyu since opening day! Fresh and delicious food served by the most welcoming folks you will find anywhere. Our children are adults now and and when we are together they always ask for ikkyu...it's our comfort food... good for the body and the soul 🤗

I visit this fine establishment on a weekly basis with a small group of friends, a ritual we've taken up about 6 months ago, and needless to say, there's a reason we keep returning! The food is nothing less than outstanding, it's always fresh, made quickly, cooked to just the right amount (if the dish warrants it) and overall delicious! (If you're a first timer, try the Special- Chicken Yakisoba, its my favorite!) and the owner (I think she's an owner, its the lovely and sweet older lady there in the evening) is a sweetheart. The rest of the staff are always friendly too, but she in particular always remembers my friends and I, welcomes us when we arrive, and thanks us when we leave! I have yet to have a remotely negative experience and its one of my ideal dining locations. My only complaint would be how hard it is to find a seat sometimes thanks to its popularity! Give it a try, it won't disappoint!

My favorite restaurant and always my go to when my fiance and i want to go out. Never been disappointed by anything going here. Ramen is amazing, bento boxes are our favorite! Just wish they had a kid size because our 3yo loves it as much as us, just cant eat a big portion. Other than that looove it!

Spicy Tuna Don, volcano style is so yummy and comes with Miso soup. You get a buzzer when you dine-in, but the food came out right away. They have misters if you decide to sit outside.

They are still the best! Missed my beloved Tonkotsu Ramen but decided to try the black Tantanmen ramen and I was not disappointed! Delicious attention to detail and layers of flavor! My son had the spicy volcano style Tuna Don and we shared a Ninja roll so thankful they are still open!

I came here, cause Noddleholics was closed it was my daughter's birthday, and I had no idea what good places for ramen there were. It was fast and tasted good, and it hit the right spot. For the swift change in plans. PS noddleholics was closed due to a shift change. Give this place a shot.

Great service, great food, Spicy Tuna Don volcano style is a must try! Very ADA compliant and accommodating was able to get my scooter inside and sit down with ease when my leg was broken. Does not allow pets inside, however. Luckily there is a pretty comfy, shaded patio with misters that they do allow pets to be.

Visited Ikkyu on a recommendation from a friend and was not disappointed! The Japanese curry chicken was delightful and the staff were friendly. This quaint restaurant has seating inside and outside under a shaded and misted patio. The restaurant looks to be a favorite takeout location as I saw many people coming in to pick up lunchtime orders. If you are looking for a Japanese restaurant I would give Ikkyu a try.

This is a no frills, order at the counter kind of place. You don’t come for the customer service, you come for the delicious Japanese food. The type of place I imagine Anthony Bourdain visiting and raving about because it was all about the food. We got the tonkotsu ramen, spicy black sesame, shrimp tempura roll, and the ninja roll. It was really good and would definitely come back and recommend to a friend. Everything was delicious.

I moved to CO over a year ago, and still catch myself dreaming over their tuna don volcano style. Can't wait to go back to Tucson for a visit and hit them up daily! The shoyu ramen and inari volcano style were great too. Still to date my favorite Japanese eatery in the US. (:

I regularly get the most excellent of food from Ikkyu, and I always enjoy it. The ramen is quite good, while I can't speak to how "authentic" it is, I do think it certainly is some of the best Ramen you're going to get in Tucson. Spicy tuna is great, salmon bento box is great, nothing to complain about.

Obsessed with the Volcano Don bowls. They are also one of the first in Tucson to be serving authentic ramen consistently. I remember coming here almost a decade ago and they still got it right.
