this place is amazing! I'm actually sad I just found it, I could have been eating here for years already... I'm vegan and it was not a problem accommodating that workout losing any flavor or deliciousness :) the hummus is AMAZING!

Been eating here for years. They are the best. I always get delivery, and if they are out of something they give me a bunch of other great munchies. Cheba hut is the absolute best!

The first installment of Thirsty Third Thursdays was GREAT! Wish there were more people but now that people know it's going down, hopefully the turnout will be better. And that Grape Ape sandwich needs to be a permanent thing. That sandwich was ON POINT!!! Such a wonderful flavor profile! Just the right amount of sweetness with the jelly and the bbq sauce with the heat from the jalapeño cream cheese was awesome!! And the Sriracha asiago bread was heavenly!!

My first experience here. I absolutely loved it!! My toasted garlic bread roast beef turkey & bacon and chipotle mayonnaise sandwich was so delicious. The nacho cheese dorito nachos were also excellent. If you are in the neighborhood, stop for sure. You won't be disappointed!!!

First the one negative about this place. My husband, son and I went right when they opened up. The music was turned up so loud. I couldn't hear my son standing next to me talking to me. The TVs were also very loud. And even when you ask them to turn the music down just enough that you can at least talk to whoever you're with. They turn it down very little. I think the music is more for the employees than it is for the customers. Because my family was the only customer there and I was asking for it to be turned down and it wasn't. I always get the G-13 with pepperoncini's added, toasted garlic/herb bread, no tomatoes, extra spicy mayonnaise. It's delicious. I would go every day if I could. However, I would become a pauper too soon. If you are going alone, it's a great place to eat in. If you're going with someone else I'd recommend either eating someplace else or taking your food with you. Or do not go in the summer. Go in the winter and you can sit outside.

Incredible sandwiches! So good! Full of meat. Bread is soft but toasty. They are huge too! Really enjoyed them.

This place definitely has some amazing sandwiches, and all the sandwiches are named after marijuana strains, which I thought was really cool. Kool aid on Tap, and the bar had some good selections on Tap as well. Can't forget the fruity pebbles rice crispy treats which were also super dank. Atmosphere also unique and enjoyable place to eat.

I recently had an exceptional experience at Cheba Hut on Fifth and Campbell. The staff's politeness and friendliness stood out, even when I was initially rude. To my surprise, they welcomed my apology later in the evening with grace. The atmosphere, paired with their unique offerings, makes me wonder what they're smoking there - it's a vibe we could all use a bit more of.

One of the few sandwich places I genuinely enjoy in Tucson. I don’t go out for sandwiches often, but this is one place that’ll make it worthwhile. Great options, great sizes, and great overall taste. I also like the accessibility - ordering online, including customizing, is smooth and the people are always friendly.

Definitely come here if you're hungry! The food is amazing! These subs trump subway without even trying. Great prices for what you get. And the people who work there are very friendly. My boyfriend and i will be coming back very soon for our favorites! The Ak-47 and the White widow. Thanks Cheba Hut!

This was my first time at the new location, but I visited the old location across the street numerous times. The food was always great but the atmosphere was poor and they must have had a swamp cooler because it was always hot and muggy. The new location had a great vibe, was clean, very spacious and well decorated. A bar was also added to the new location that expanded their alcohol offerings beyond beer. I got a cocktail that was fantastic, it was called the hot box. My girlfriend got a mimosa that was made with white wine instead of champagne, not quite what she was expecting. I had a Kali mist on garlic bread which was incredible. The bread was soft but had a nice crispy crunch on the outside, but not too crispy that hurts your mouth like some bread [I’m looking at your beyond bread! ;) ]. My girlfriend got a white widow which she certainly enjoyed. Everyone on the staff we interacted with was friendly and pleasant, except the order taker/cashier. He had a mask on with that said “don’t touch me peasants” or something similar, he was not pleasant what-so-ever and seemed irritated with us simply for ordering. Despite him the experience was great, all staff was great and a gentleman even came around several minutes after we got our food to ask us how everything was, which you normally don’t see near the university (for the most part). Will definitely be coming back, and certainly won’t let one unpleasant cashier stop me from giving a 5 star review which they definitely deserve.

Chiba Hut's "Toasted" Subs are pretty good whether you're toasted or not. The new location is much better than the old one. Their previous location was an old building with very little room for the large number of customers they see for lunch and dinner. The service remains the same, middle of the road, in my opinion. If you like toasted sub sandwiches, I recommend giving them a try.

When you're "toasted", who cares about bad service? 😎 🤣Good sandwiches and microbrews.. Update 2023. I had the canna and my wife had the vegetarian grifo. Both excellent. Service was friendly and efficient. Good show. They have moved and their service has improved. Local is always preferable to a chain.

It was good! The garlic bread is a little underwhelming and they gave us a giant thing of marinara (felt bad bc I hate to waste) but still delicious. Love the vibe here and the service is great

The food is always so delicious! I swear they would make a killing if they stayed open until 2am on Friday and Saturday. The atmosphere is like a club with the music and I would totally go there to chill, eat a sandwich and vibe out.

This is a solid spot for some great sandwiches. Wide variety to choose from. The AK-47 (sandwich) came with a very rich Au Jus but the sandwich itself was very underwhelming, and the Au Jus was the only reason it was palatable. However, the KGB was very delicious and I am confident that most of their sandwich configurations will be enjoyable. Tried three of their Munchies (sides/appetizer) options and only the warm pretzel bites with honey mustard was good, the bowl of balls and the cheesy pull apart garlic bread were flavorless/bland. Drink Selection is unique, with some Kool Aid choices and Yerba Mate. Interior is a bit ragged, has a bit of a dive feel. Overall my experience barely squeaks into the 4 star range, though I hope they at least fix the seat cushions.
