The service was fast, the food was great, and he place was clean. So close to work I can definitely see this becoming a staple for lunches. The prices are a bit more than a Nicos or traditional fast food Mexican restaurant but the food is higher quality and the atmosphere was nicer. They also have a drive thru if you are in need of even faster service. I however recommend dining in to take advantage of the salsa bar and the fresh salsas.

Food is wonderful! I had the barbacoa burrito and rice. The salsa bar is great - even bought some to take home. Will definitely be a regular customer of theirs.
My sister and I shared the chicken frajita machete. It was delicious. We put the salsa and avocado cream on it. Wonderful! Very pleasant staff. Clean. I recommend Salsa Verde!
Love Salsa Verde! I have been working my way through their menu since discovering them a few weeks ago. The food is amazing, the salsa bar is wonderful, everything I have tried has been great.
The food was simply amazing, huge portions of perfectly cooked meats (we had steak and carnitas) with a fully stocked salsa bar. The entire staff was patient and super sweet! New favorite go-to restaurant for sure!

This was an unexpected find! The food was great, the service was fast, and the interior was very inviting. My baby was comforted by our waitress, and that my day! If youre looking for a nice mexican spot on the eastside, this is the place to go. Will be coming again!
This place is a rare gem on the Eastside of Tucson. The food is great. They have some unique menu items you don't always see at every place. Full salsa bar that has quality salsa and toppings. Staff is nice and inside is always clean and a great place to get out of the heat. Been coming since they opened. Quality is always consistent and getting better it seems with time. My recommendation is to get the Supremo Burrito and get it bacon wrapped. Trust me, you won't be disappointed.

If you’re looking for a Tucson gem that serves fresh authentic Mexican food that is creatively arranged, this is the place! There is a walk up salsa bar having a generous variety of homemade salsas in a super clean; comfortable restaurant w/indoor/outdoor seating and welcoming staff. Our server, Brisa, had superior menu knowledge of ingredients, offered entree suggestions, and had a welcoming attention to her tables displaying professionalism which added to a pleasant dining experience.

This restaurant is one of those places you would never notice or think to go to unless you read the reviews. It's an unassuming, small place in a strip mall. But, the food is very good. Salsa verde pork platter, shrimp tacos and the huge and very rich burrito supreme were all very good. Many drink options, and huge margaritas! Prices are on the high side, especially for tacos, but the corn tortillas are some of the best we've ever had and it's some of the better Mexican we've had in the area. Casual, plenty of parking.
This was my first time, I have passed by it 100 times and never stopped because I enjoy authentic mexican food, and the building and sign look like a chain restaurant... boy, was I surprised!
The server was very attentive and made some good recommendations.
I ended up ordering the red chili con carne on the Wednesday special huarrachi(sp) bread. Fantastic, full of flavor, and the bread was like I used to get in Jalisco!

Fantastic restaurant with amazing food. One of the best Mexican food options in Tucson without a doubt. We've been several times now and it is a regular spot for us. Definitely feel like we were missing out by not trying it sooner!
They also have a great drive thru for takeout.

Visiting East Tucson and decide to try out Salsa Verda with some local friends. The outside looks like a fast food joint, and you can get food to go, but you get fresh made #NomNomNom. There is table service in the small dining room.
We had four in our party and we order chips and guacamole, chimichanga, quesadilla, barbacoa burrito, and a Supremo burrito. Everything was absolutely delicious and a good deal. We walked away with a Doggy bag as it was just too much food.
We also tried the pomegranate and mango margaritas. 😋
This is a must try Mexican restaurant!
