My husband and I tried this restaurant for the first time, and we were really impressed! The flavors are spot on! And most importantly the freshness of the food was perfect, they make small portions (for the buffet) so the food isn’t sitting there getting old. In my opinion, this is the best Chinese buffet in Tucson. Also, the prices are great! Under $40.00 for four people

So had a great experience eating here, did not have the buffet I ordered of the menu and boy was I surprised. I ordered the beef and broccoli and it was a huge plate of food I couldn't get over it a friend of mine was there also and he ordered the Mongolian chicken it was also a huge plate and both of them were the best I've had in Tucson on top of that it is served with a very large bowl of steamed white rice wait staff was friendly and my drink never got empty. If you like great food and great service I would try it out.

Don't like the buffet much but they're take out is wonderful. Most Chinese food on the day after is dry never had that happen with them. Family-owned I love those soda places not too crazy about the chains. Large dining room. It is really good for family gatherings. They don't serve shrimp egg foo young anymore used to buy it all the time when I live there. But their barbecue pork fried rice is outstanding and so is there chow mein. Good prices too very reasonable.

Golden Phoenix is a family favorite. They also were the only Chinese restaurant that welcomed my classroom of students to celebrate the Chinese New Year. The owners and staff are extremely kind and helpful. You may order from the menu or eat a variety of tasty dishes from the buffet. I highly recommend this restaurant.

This place has the best Chinese food I've had in Tucson. Everything I've had from the menu is consistently good. I had the buffet once and probably wouldn't try it again, it left much to be desired. My favorite dishes are Mu Shu, Chow fun, and wonton soup.

Delicious and quick! Don’t get buffet, order off the menu! Our favorites are tomato beef, and crunchy noodle with sauce dish and a pepper beef dish that has numbing spice.

I am strong believer of the taste to Dollar ratio. This place scores high. I admit that it won't make you scream wow or make a life difference, but it's just as good as most Chinese buffet in town at a significantly lower price. My Saturday lunch buffet cost 7.95 and that includes a drink. Most places are now gouging soda prices on top of the expensive buffet. They have the Staples...2 soups, small salad, egg rolls, crab puff, general tsao, pudding , jello etc. My fav was some lo mein and sprout dish. My search for a really good Chinese buffet continues, but I will return to this place.

The place hasn't changed in nearly 20 years and the food is still good....

Very inexpensive but still good food, cute place, cute bathrooms, but my favorite thing about this place is how nice and friendly the staff are! They're always smiling and happy to help and go the extra mile for your comfort and happiness. So nice ! Thank you for the great experience! Will definitely return and recommend to others!

My favorite Chinese restaurant in Tucson. Order off the pink Cantonese menu. DO NOT order the buffet. Order some authentic Cantonese food here and you will not be disappointed. My favorites are the Cantonese pork chops, steamed ginger chicken, spicy fried squid, and house low mein.

Looks can be deceiving; you may or may not have passed by this place driving down 22nd before or after you hit Aviation overpass, but it can easily be missed. And I can't really blame anyone who does, because at first sight you'll think "That is such a trashy looking Chinese place, WHY would I even think about going there?" Boy how wrong I was when I took the chance and found out that this place is literally Tucson's "Chinese secret". This is in book probably one of the best, if not THE best, Chinese restaurants I know in town. Out of countless Chinese establishments for you to go to, you gotta see about trying to make this one a regular outfit. This is the only place I've gone to regularly, at least four to six times a month, and it's almost the same thing everytime: Chinese Style Sesame Chicken (we've all had Sesame Chicken, but specifically ask for Chinese Style. It'll blow your mind and you will NEVER go back to what you once knew and remembered of the stuff before hand, even though they DO make that kind as well for those who don't know or ask for the Chinese Style variant). Everything on their menu is done pretty darn well, but I have a hard time wanting to try everything because I frequently keep ordering the Chinese Style Sesame Chicken. They do Lo Meins of all sorts extremely well. Fried rice has always been on point, pork dishes are spot on and they take a lot of care in making sure the vegetables are cooked well but retain crispness, so don't worry about some soggy broccoli pieces or anything, I've never had that happen. The only thing this place doesn't do is dumplings, at least not in mass quantities of other Chinese places which I have to go to if I want that particular craving sunk, but everything on the menu (particularly the pink sheet menu...) is incredible. Hell, all I was doing was checking the hours to see when this place was open and then felt compelled to write this review just to add my two cents in on how everyone else should know about this place.
