So remarkably tasty and fast.
Went on lunch on a Thursday (I’ll admit their hours can be tricky) and had a chicken empanada and a spinach/feta empanada which were both really top-tier Indian flavors with the flakiest of empanada crusts.
Highly recommend. Reasonably priced and seems they have a great happy hour schedule/option if that’s up your alley.
Definitely worth the stop.
Had 2 specials with paneer, samosa, and chicken dosa’s. Lentil curry was a little watery but the rice was very good. Where it shines is the sauces; loved the mint and cilantro sauces. Pity more people aren’t at this place and we were the only ones eating in the restaurant at the time.
Not much to say, It's just delicious and if you are around, you must try this place.
Best craft empanadas I've ever had. My favorite the spinach and feta cheese! Also their cilantro souce is great!
I got the Bomba combo. I got the spinach and mushroom empanada. However, I didn't taste any mushrooms only spinach.
The cilantro sauce personally wasn't my favorite. The taste seemed a little off and sour.
The jicama salad was very fresh and tasty as we're the lentils.
The staff is very friendly and explained the menu and gave recommendations.
This was my first time here. As soon as we walked in the aromas totally convinced me I was about to have the yummiest meal ever! Right away you'll notice the bright yellow and the beautiful mural behind the register so this place just takes all your senses for a ride.
I tried the Bombo combo with a Fiesta empanada, was absolutely delicious! My friend had the Pork empanada and it was a little spicy but also very tasty:) Really liked the rice A LOT and the lentils were yummy too! We got the cilantro lime sauce and hibiscus tea which of course were both really good too. Will definitely be back because they have about 5 other empanada flavors and different sides and salsas to try!
PS - Ordering is similar to Chipotle/Subway's style of ordering. They have the cutest outdoor seating, too.
Paneer empanada with mint sauce was AMAZING! Also loved the unsweetened chai tea. Highly recommended.
we ordered these empanadas for takeout, and were so happy we did! the pastry dough was so delicious and flakey, and each flavor we got was great. they have lots of veggie and non-veggie options, making it perfect for meat eaters and vegetarians alike! they also had tons of sauce options to choose from, so it was fun to try a lot of different flavors. would definitely recommend, and can't wait to try more of what they have to offer!
Great empanadas! Curried lentils are also delicious as a side & must try the cilantro sauce.
I love it here! The empanadas are filled with flavor and always satisfying.
My favorites in order:
1. Pork
2. Chicken
3. Breakfast chorizo
4. Breakfast ham and cheese
They all pair nicely with their green sauce (Don’t remember what it’s called).
Their chicken masala, also very delicious with their rice and black beans.
I don’t think I’ve ever disliked anything I’ve tried on their menu.
I love this place! While I don't make it in as often as I should, I always enjoy it when I do. The Indian-Latin fusion combination is unique and delicious. In summary, a great spot for quick lunch in the heart of downtown Tucson. Check it out next time you're downtown!
Delicious and quick! The sauces are very flavorful.
This place has well earned its high rating. I’ve been here a few times now for their bomboles, tea, and most recently their Chicken Tikka Masala bowl with Honduran Cabbage. Every single time, the food has been absolutely delicious, service lightning fast, staff nothing less than totally stellar. If I could give more stars, I would without hesitation. Best place to eat downtown.
I have been wanting to try this spot forever and I'm SO glad I did. Walking into the restaurant the aroma was wonderful. My family and I got the sweet empanadas (guava cream cheese, apple and banana Nutella). They were outstanding and the crust was super fresh, flaky and buttery. Customer service was great as well. I cannot wait to go back and taste some of their savory flavors! Thanks Bombolé! You are truly a gem.
Delicious, delicious, delicious. Almost makes me want to go vegan (but they do have meat dishes that are crazy good). The Honduran slaw is next level. I ate it too fast and couldn't take a pic
Such unique food! I'd never had latin Indian fusion before. Most of the flavor combinations work well. The dessert empanadas are also great!
If your tastebuds are looking for something healthy, delicious, and exotic flavors then you have to try this adorable little restaurant at the heart of downtown Tucson! Super yummy. My all time fav is the Bombo Combo. ❤️
An absolutely delightful find, Bombolé is a gem in the desert. Since the beginning of quarantine, my daughters and I have been extremely careful and had very little elective contact with the outside world. At some point we decided we just had to try someplace new. Bombolé fit the bill and was exactly what we were after!
Walking in the open area was extremely clean and inviting. The glass cases worked as an effective barrier between patrons and the food. The employee that greeted us did so with a friendly voice while wearing his mask and a face shield over that. There's sanitizer by the cash register. I cannot express enough just how clean and orderly everything was inside. Of course it would not have been worth it had the food not been spectacular, which it absolutely was!
The empanadas are fluffy little pockets of goodness surrounding scrumptious fillings and could easily make a delicious meal all on their own. The sauces that come with them are bursting with flavor. They even have dosa and you would seriously be doing yourself a disservice to skip adding one of those to your plate. As a sharp contrast to the pillowy foods already listed, they have crispy and refreshing slaws that make a perfect complement to your meal. We ordered a couple of bowls of their fragrant lentils that tasted as good as they smelled. I added an oolong iced tea to my meal, which was also delicious.
This place is pretty epic, and I'm really glad that we chose Bombolé as our quarantine to-go treat!
Indian food w a Latin twist! Hit the mark! Delicious pork & rice in curry sauce empanada! They had me at empanada, and it delivered! Additionally had the pork & rice in a cilantro lime sauce. Perfect taste. The side was the jicama, mango & peppers salad. Great combo and perfect match for the pork & sauce! Highly recommended for casual tasty!
