We love the food at the Tavern, always very good. The grilled cheese sandwich and the tomato bisque soup are the best ever. However, we had a little bit of an issue the other day when we went for lunch. Me and a co-worker of mine had lunch here on Tuesday, and while the waiter brought our food out very quickly (which was nice), he was very slow to come back to our table from that point on. My friend was drinking a soft drink, and had been needing a refill for a long while. We actually asked another server (since ours did not return to the table) if he could get her a refill. The soft drink was in a tiny bottle (diet coke), so she went through them fast. When she got her check, we were both appalled at the fact that she had been charged for each and every refill!!! Not only were we shocked that a restaurant would charge for soft drink refills, but to take it a step further, if a restaurant was going to charge for refills, should they not let the customer know that up front??? It was a little upsetting.
We visited The Tavern last night and had an incredible experience. First, our server, Cecilia, was wonderful. She was attentive without being overbearing and timed each course appropriately. Then the food...wow! The octopus appetizer was incredible. It was bright, fresh and extremely tasty. And then it was followed by the duck confit. Wow, again! The most tender duck I’ve ever had. Bravo for such a great dish in Tulsa. We’ve been to the Tavern in the past but I think with the new chef, it has been elevated incredibly. I highly recommend the Tavern and will definitely be back shortly. Thanks for a wonderful evening!
I've been here a couple of times while visiting from out of town- it was excellent both times. This last time I ordered the fish and chips, which was listed as a "small plate" but was a huge helping and cooked to perfection! My wife loved her salad and crostini. The drink and dessert selections were both great as well. We'll definitely keep coming back.
I don't have words, but feel I should write something. I've been to great restaurants. This is easily top two. Ever. My friends and I ordered four different things and each were phenomenal. Hands down I would be back at this place any time I am in town.
The menu changes seasonally. This time let's start with dessert, Bacon Pecan Pie w/Vanilla Ice Cream, can I get a hallelujah? Many of the menu items have a really great twist to them, all flavorful and expertly prepared.
This was our 1st visit and it was fantastic. Our server was great, and funny. And the tomato bisque soup was excellent and so was our grilled cheese sandwich with pork barbecue. Its a must try!!
Every time we go it is amazing. We have done the chef's table twice and it never disappoints! It's our favorite way to celebrate! Very good!
Awesome food, great environment! Mozzarella sticks are big fat beer battered behemoths that are fantastic. Everything we have ever ordered was super delicious!
Anytime I get a fancy date night, this is where I go! I love the different menu's, I love the atmosphere, and I love the cocktails. I love this place! Its fresh, tasty creations make you excited to go back again and again. Although when you really love a dish, they probably won't have that exact thing again. Something similar probably, but not exactly.
It was Father's Day, very busy! We sat at the bar, our bartender was so much fun! Are food was good and service too. Affordable prices👍🏻
Very very cool place in the Brady district. I love their deviled eggs and the fact they put "buy beer for the kitchen" on the menu gives insight into their unique and progressive concept.
Delish. Great burger, seasonal items, great atmosphere!
Taste bud heaven !. We celebrated my birthday at The Tavern last night and enjoyed it immensely .
Every item was presented beautifully and was delicious. A treat for the eyes and the mouth.
The waiter was friendly, well mannered , and attentive in every way.
Hats off to the chef , our waiter , and the management.
The Tavern is my favorite special place to eat downtown.
Very good food. Really really good food. Service was impeccable. Cozy atmosphere. A little noisy
Sunday night family style dinner delicious, but service needs some work. We went in at 5:30 as a four-top with a reservation. Our drinks took a long time to be delivered. 3/4 entrees were served about 7 minutes before the 4th entree. One entree was not cooked to order, and another was missing a side dish. I loved the fried chicken, grilled asparagus and cheese grits, but other people at the table were underwhelmed.
I will try this again because of the food. But more servers need to be working on concert nights. It seemed our waiter was overwhelmed with too many tables.
Yes! Bacon Popcorn! It is worth every penny and some. I had the Skate and was very impressed. Food and booze was all served very well and very timely. They have free valet parking which is always a plus. Quality and price are right on here.
Going back for more. Made online reservations for 1700 hrs, on a Sunday. There were few customers at the time, service was adequate. An hour later, the place was packed and loud with chatter.
Kids ordered a couple of hamburgers with Stilton cheese - seemed a bit on the small side, somewhere between a slider and yer average hamburger. Very tasty. The fries were dismal - overcooked, small, tasted more of a burned flavor than potatoes.
They had bacon and popcorn for an appetizer - very good.
Wife enjoyed her chicken and veggies .
I had the catfish (just a bit overcooked also) along with mashed potatoes and peas.
The deviled egg appetizer included salmon, a mild wasabe and something else I can't recall. Quite good. Could make a meal of it.
We all liked the chocolate torte, the orange bread pudding was "okay".
All in all, not an unpleasant experience. It'll be one of our go-to restaurants in the district.
One of my favorites in tulsa! I love their brunch (Chef's choice pastry and biscuits with homemade jam are my favorites). The menu is limited but everything is always delicious and presented beautifully. There's always a great vegetarian option and I always save room for dessert...love the bread pudding!

Fabulous Brunch. My boyfriend and I stopped here for brunch one morning/afternoon. The atmosphere was delightful and charming. I ordered the Farmers' Market Quiche with a side order of cheese grits. My meal was absolutely delicious. The quiche was nice and flaky; my grits were the perfect texture with the right amount of cheese mixed in. My boyfriend nervously ordered the Daily Grilled Cheese with chicken, and a bowl of tomato bisque. His grilled cheese sandwich was no classic grilled cheese. It was quite delicious with grilled chicken, triple cheese, and grilled on a ciabata bun. I'd recommend this place to anyone who loves brunch. I was very pleased.
Good food in Brady. My girl and I really liked our food, well presented, good service, just alittle overpriced. Salmon and Pork Chopcooked perfectly. They gotta pay that baseball tax I guess.
I thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere, and the food quality was excellent. I had the tavern burger and sampled the salmon. Both were uniquely delicious.
Great dining experience!. Great food, drink and dining experience. The heirloom tomatoes with mozzerella and salad were fresh and tasty. We got the sampler plate special that included salmon, the fiilet, and pork chop. All fantastic! The porter peach cobbler was special. We will be back!
Great Food. Ate here for lunch on a Friday in June.
Great food. I ordered the Tavern Burger. It was very good. One of the better burgers I've had in Tulsa. French Fries were tasty too. They were the thinnest fries I think I've ever seen, but they were also more than I could eat. My wife ordered the Daily Grilled Cheese (which was White Cheddar, Tomato, and Bacon on Green Onion Focaccia) and it came with Tomato Bisque. She loved it.
Service was friendly and attentive. I wish the kitchen was a little faster as it's a tight squeeze if you only have an hour for lunch.
Prices are higher than some people probably expect to pay for pub fare, but it's worth it.
Restaurant was very clean and in good repair. Great ambiance. Though, our table was a little wobbly and that's always annoying.
Overall, very good. We will be back.
Took a chance. I drove by this place by mistake. When our 8th wedding anniversary came up, I thought we'd try it out; normally we go to The Wild Fork.
We ordered a lamb tenderloin (kbob) for an appetizer which was great. We each ordered the filet medium rare (suggested by the waiter). I have to say the steak was actually rare and not as hot as I would have liked but tasted amazing so I was won over. I also ordered bread pudding and it was also amazing and is not like any other bread pudding I have had.
Our dinner for two was $95.07 and we only had water which is on par with Polo Grill or Wild Fork.
Cons: Cook the filet 1 more minute per side.
Pros: Too many to list. The pastry chef is amazing. This is my new favorite upscale restaurant.
Great Food! Great Service! AMAZING DRINKS! Bengali Gimlet is my new favorite!!!!!!
The burger was delicious and is a pretty good value after 9pm when its half price. Big portion of fries. We also tried sides of bacon brussel sprouts and au gratin potatoes. Also very good. Only complaints were that the place tries too hard to be swanky. I understand ambience but it was so dark that even my 27 year old eyes had a hard time seeing. Also I'd like ice in my water glass as this is oklahoma and its readily available. Pretty good. Will prolly be comparing all burgers to this one for a while.
Never disappoints!. Cool atmosphere, great menu, awesome cocktails. One of the go-to spots when we have friends in from out of town.
Delicious!. Went for dinner. Great upscale pub atmosphere. Menu is limited, but no shortage of great-looking options at various price-points. Also have a nice drink menu that complements the dinner offerings. The Tavern Burger and frites were outstanding. Others in the party had the Arugula Salad, the Salmon special, and some of the Bacon Popcorn. All were good. Will definitely be back!
Boom baby. I love this place! the service was exceptional, the atmosphere cozy and comforting, and the food was bomb as hell (and for those of you who don't know, that means good to the last bite!). the tomato bisque was divine, and the burger with mushroom cream was melt in your freakin' mouth. if i had not been so hungover from the night prior, i would have loved to drink some of their signature cocktails. next time, i will be enjoying the whole tavern experience along with trying more of their delicious menu. kudos to brady tavern!
I love their big wood bar and their French Onion soup is the best in town!

Sat at the chef's table in the kitchen which was a neat experience. The burger was delicious.. The tenderloin was good, but as far as steak goes, I would prefer a steakhouse. French onion soup was very good but took forever to cool down enough to eat it. Service was friendly. Will definitely go back.
Near perfection. We got there at 5:45 and by 6:30 it was packed. Atmosphere is fine-dining but casual. The service was great, our waiter made perfect beer selection (the beer and wine list is impressive). We ordered the onion dip with homemade chips, roasted chicken, and the bone-in pork chop. Everything cooked perfect, the veggies were awesome. Only down was desert, we got the Queens apple (apple dumpling) and it was nothing special. We will be back many times. Easily one if the best in Tulsa.
Best in town. I have eaten dinner at the Brady Tavern twice now. I believe this restaurant is one of the best in the city. The service is excellent. The wait staff is extremely knowledgeable about the menu, ingredients and wine. The atmosphere is cozy and nostalgic. The menu variety is excellent. Deserts are simply amazing. Good wine list. The best thing is they are open on MONDAYS. You can't find anything open in this town on Mondays. Consider dining here on a Monday night and you are in for a treat.
Sunshine's review has it right. Eat the cheese at the bar with the French rose wine (this is NOT white Zinfandel). Cheese plate is mind-blowing. If you don't like cheese, well, never mind.
Not as good as expected, but good. Had a decent meal here, ate a pork terrine that was outstanding, had a lackluster roasted chicken.... cool space, decent waitstaff... I'd give them another shot, but they did not live up to the hype I've been hearing
Wonderful!. I'm not a blue cheese fan, but the Stilton mixed with the mushroom cognac sauce on my hubby's burger was amazing! I'll take a side of mushroom cognac sauce and a straw please! ;) I ordered the fish and chips, which turned out to be a rather sophisticated choice instead of the usual greasy, over-breaded generic pub version. Kudos! My fave was the Brady Collins from the drink menu, but the Bengali Gimlet was pretty unique and tasty too. Keep up the good work McNellie's Group!
Change of heart.. I was very disappointed on my first visit, but visit number 2 had me at "bone-in pork chops" - delicious and flavorful. i very much enjoyed also, whatever deviled egg had the bacon on it... didn't care for the others, but they were a nice change in pace of the typical appetizer. even if you don't enjoy the food, the staff is amazing along with the service they always give.
Amazing cheese and Unique cocktails. We had dinner here last night with another couple. It was our second time dining here. The first time, we came for a birthday party back in February..it was good then but there were so many of us that it was hard to really enjoy. Last night, we were able to take our time, sample the drink menu and not be rushed. Our server Amanda was patient and informative, we were never rushed and were never waiting for anything. Us ladies ordered a variety of cocktails off the menu and enjoyed them ALL. 'The Last word' with Chartreuse was amazing. Our spouses had the bacon infused Manhattan's and the deviled eggs, all outstanding. My friend and I love cheese so we were in for a treat. They bring in their cheeses from California. I have to say, a dinner of cheese for me would be my last supper.. She and I shared the cheese and cured meat plate. Honestly, one of the best meals I have ever had. I cannot remember the names of all of the cheeses but they included potato cheddar with bacon bits, lemon curd blue blue cheese and some sort of lavender jam and goat? AMAZING. My husband had the fish and chips, which was delicious as well as his side of mac and cheese. I have been coming to this spot since it was the Bowery 10 years ago. Brady Tavern has done a good job utilizing the space with local art and GREAT food! The menu could have used a few more entree choices..(a filet) but really we have NO complaints. We had a great experience here and cannot wait to go back...or figure where they order their cheese...HEAVEN!
Best Brunch. The New York Strip Hash is so good I've had dreams about it. Seriously, best brunch in town.
Absolutely awesome. We went for my wifes birthday... she ordered the steak and i ordered the burger and both were outstanding. i would never say that a burger is outstanding, but it was the best i have ever had. if you are in the area you should definitely go.
Best Burger. The Brady Tavern is a great addition to a great historic growing part of downtown. They make all their own breads. Waiters are all friendly and happy to explain the menu. Not expansive but high quality beer menu-and the best burger I've had in my life so far... -no-joke-
Excellent - Outstanding. Friendly employees, very nicely decorated, very good hamburger.
Saw a Tulsa World article about Sunday brunch at The Brady Tavern. Brunch is one of our favorites on the weekend so we investigated. The Mimosas may be the best in town; however they may be the priciest in town. The Challah French Toast with housemade sausage is delicious and the New York Strip Hash is wonderful. We will be back for a check of the night time menu.
Just Wonderful!. We wandered into the Brady Tavern with the intention of having a drink or two and then going off to have dinner elsewhere. As we arrived at the bar, the bartender asked if we cared to see the dinner menu. As we enjoyed our drinks, we were increasingly tempted by the offerings, but my SO must avoid gluten, so some questions were in order. The staff attended to our questions and pointed out the gluten-free items (they do not, as of yet, have a gluten-free menu). MY SO ordered the pork chop with mustard sauce accompanied by a vegetable hash (chopped brussels sprouts, spinach, potatoes and carrots). I ordered the fresh goat cheese ravioli. For dessert we split the blood orange flan (the only gluten-free dessert offering). The bottom line? Everything was absolutely wonderful! They also have an extensive wine and beer list and a very friendly and helpful staff. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!.
Brunch @ Brady. I had brunch at the Brady Tavern today, and it was great! We started with Bellinis and the basket of breakfast breads. The Bellinis were good, but they had fruit seeds floating in them - I would've preferred them to be strained out, but they tasted great. The breads included banana bread, an orange/cran scone, blueberry muffin, cinnamon roll and another cheese pastry that was delicious. Everything was great, except for the cinnamon roll, which was a little bit dry. My main course was eggs benedict, which they make with spinach, mushrooms and tomatoes, and it ROCKED! I would highly recommend it! I had the hash browns as my side, and I thought they were very tasty as well! It's 5pm and I'm still in a food coma from this great brunch. I would highly recommend eating there!
Unique menu. Our first time to eat here this weekend. We had good service considering how popular and busy it was. We tried the Mac n cheese as a side dish which was to die for. The burger was lean and tasty. We look forward to coming back and highly recommend this great restaurant.
My husband and I ate at Brady Tavern for the first time last night. The atmosphere is amazing, and different than any other found in Tulsa. I thought it would feel more like an English pub, but it made me think more of a restaurant in France or perhaps early 1900s east coast US. The service was great. They serve bread before the meal, which was very tasty. The only thing I didn't like about the place was my entree. I ordered the special butternut squash fettuccine. It like complexity of flavor and had the consistency of leftover pasta from the fridge. The way food tastes is very important to me, but I was willing to overlook this fact given all the other good things about the place. I also like the fact that they don't use ice in their water, maybe that's one of the things that adds to the European feel? Next time I'll definitely try the risotto cakes instead of pasta.
Live in fayetteville,Ar and will probably make the drive to eat here! Fabulous!!!!
A group of us went before a concert at the nearby Brady theater. Food was fabulous and our server Amanda was funny and very knowledgable. Great beer and wine selection, including a bacon infused bourbon. I know, it sounds weird but it was really tasty. The bacon popcorn left me a bit disappointed but the marinated olives with their home made bread was amazing. Our group had fried chicken, haddock, and the Brady burger. The sides were great, the garlic fries needed no ketchup and vegetables were not done in your usual ho-hum way. After dinner Irish coffees were were not skimpy on the whiskey. Would def go back!!!

Great atmosphere and food! We ordered the marinated olive appetizer, which goes perfectly with the complimentary fresh baked bread. Highly recommend the grilled cheese of the day with the tomato soup.
Awesome! We are from okc and we looked this up on talk of the town. After eating the Brady Burger I know why. The olive tray was excellent to compliment with the fresh baked bread. Service was great and the atmosphere was relaxing. I will come back.
Talented Chef Grant Vespasian. From the first step into the restaurant, we were greeted with positive, upbeat, smiling people (not overboard).
Our server was awesome...she was knowledgeable and made great recommendations...very friendly, but again, not overboard.
My guest ordered a delicious Guinness, served at just the right cooler temperature (at lunch the day before, with the folks from Guinness, they taught me that room temperature is NOT the right temperature to serve Guinness but rather about 44〫)
The wine selection was great as well, but I opted to start off with one of their signature cocktails, The signature drink, a bacon infused Old Fashioned, is a mix of bacon infused bourbon, Grade A maple syrup, orange peel and bitters. No it wasn't greasy or over the top, but just had a hint of smokiness.
We started with the Trout Dip...basically, it's like a silky trout pate, topped with crispy capers. It was beyond good or even great, and it went great with the Cab I was drinking and the October beer my guest was drinking.
For the main course, I had the roasted chicken, roasted to perfection, juicy and packed with flavor, and the skin crisped so that you could actually eat it as a condiment with the rest of the dish.
The vegetables plated below the chicken seriously took that chicken to a whole other level. The heirloom potatoes, fingerlings, I saw purple ones, known to possibly be Peruvian varieties, absolutely delicious, smooth and creamy bites. The sauteed spinach, also plated below and mixed in with the potatoes was also flavorful.
And below the sauteed spinach and roasted potatoes, acting as a pool of creamy goodness laid the sauce, that no doubt was made with a splash of roasted chicken drippings, possibly smoked bacon drippings and cream tied it all together. The vegetables were all topped with smoked bacon bits as well. None of the ingredients over powered each other...the dish was a wonderful balance of flavor and textures. All of this goodness, yet as I looked at the beautifully plated dish, it was simple, elegant and rustic all at once.
As for the rest of the restaurant, the atmosphere was perfect for great family/ friends and conversation or nice romantic dinner for two. Bon Appetit!
Last night was our first visit to Brady Tavern. It felt a little weird pulling up to the spot where Lola's once was to find a new Tulsa hot spot. The food and service at Lola's was hit or miss but I will never forget their amazing chocolate & raspberry cake and the unique Dia de los Muertos decor. Gladly what I found at Brady Tavern blew Lola's out of the water and most of my nostalgia went right out the window. Let's start with the drink menu. The drink menu is like no other in Tulsa. They take us back in time with their signature pre-prohibition cocktails. They even have a BACON-INFUSED OLD FASHIONED. I wasn't daring enough to try that so the drink I started with was the Old Cuban - it was tart. It was tangy. It was sweet and simply lovely in every way. It had a single mint leaf floating on top and I felt oh so classy sipping from my dainty glass. Next came the eat menu. The Brady Tavern strives to put a gourmet spin on classic pub fare and they have most certainly succe
I was in town to explore Tulsa, and I happened to stumble upon this place while browsing the night market at Guthrie Garden.
It's a casual dining/bar where you can enjoy great food and drinks. I walked in, and I got my table immediately. I got lucky. I got to the restaurant just before the rush of people came in. Since I was alone (solo trip again), I sat down at the high-top table by the bar area.
great drinks and food. the tavern burger is an absolute downtown staple for late evenings. good service and bartenders are knowledgeable. can’t go wrong here any night of the week. can be a bit loud during beak times.
Best beet salad I've had in awhile.
Pork chop was very fatty.
Queso is pretty good.
Peach crisp was a miss.
The food was good. I got the mushroom burger. I forgot the name of it. The burger was delicious and cooked how I wanted, and I loved the small fries. The server we had was awesome, very helpful, and fast service. It thought it was a little pricey for the 2 meals we got. Very clean place.
We were staying nearby and were amazed by this great place that we stumbled upon. I highly recommend them. The lunch portions are very generous and the chef has taken great care to really invoke your taste buds.
The Tavern has been a personal favorite for nearly a decade. The hospitality, food, cocktails…they knock it all out of the park on every front.
The Sunday Fried Chicken Dinner is also 🔥.
Really great place with a more masculine atmosphere and decor. Matches the name very well. The food is beautiful and very delicious and portions are big enough to share in my opinion. Maybe not if you're super hungry. They also have a fun drink list that we enjoyed. Pictured is the pork chop, roasted chicken, one of their unique cocktails, and the huge brownie we shared for dessert.
Small menu but what they make is absolutely delicious, my compliments to the chef. The atmosphere is causal and the wait staff friendly and checked on the table often. Very lovely meal.
I got to sit down for a wine tasting and enjoy the tuna poke and a pastrami sandwich. They were both great. The place has a wonderful atmosphere and location. The service was all friendly and smiling. I definitely plan on returning.
The food was excellent and our waitress was so good at her job, I was truly impressed. A great experience, they’re conveniently open late, but maintain an upscale atmosphere even at a late hour. I absolutely recommend this gem in downtown Tulsa.
