Very pleasant atmosphere as soon as we entered. Staff were extremely polite and gave plenty of time to discuss your requirements with a happy persona. John's is obviously a very popular place with locals, which is always a good sign. Food was served in a timely fashion and was delicious. Staff fantastic. Loved the whole experience. Thanks

As I still sit here stuffed to the gills after ordering their steak and shrimp with a mozzarella stick appetizer. I wanted to leave a stellar review. This nice little dine in or take out restaurant has a relaxing atmosphere with really good service. I wanted a small local place to eat that I couldn't get back home and while just a random place that I picked off Google it should definitely be a stop if you're in the area. The food was good and in decent size proportion my waitress was sweet and very prompt and I didn't pay an arm and leg either. Thanks for the great meal.
This restaurant seems to be family owned serving American style fast food. We stopped here specifically because it was NOT one of the big chains restaurants. The table service was fast, the waitress friendly and attentive, and the food was hot. For fast food, the burger was really good (flame broiled) and there was a generous helping of fries. If you’re looking for a quick bite in the area check this place out. They seem to have some unique items on the menu.
Good home cooking. Ask for Amber, she is a great server. She was working the floor by herself until back up showed up to help out when we were about to leave. She served everyone with a smile and a warm greeting. Will return again.
We stopped here for lunch and we found a very cute place....super kind service and delicious food. Ribs and steak were fantastic!

Everything on point no complaints at all! Food hot and delicious! Largest bacon avocado cheeseburger I have ever had! Ranch dressing yummy! Breakfast plate fantastic! Everything made to order! Stopped in to fuel up with a Denver omelette before heading into Joshua Tree National Park. I try to avoid chain restaurants wherever possible so it was good to see a local option. John's Place was pretty crowded with locals which is always a good sign. Service was prompt and my coffee cup never emptied. The 50s rock soundtrack provided some really nice atmosphere.
Nice and clean. Great breakfast spot on a Sunday morning. Machaca and eggs, biscuits and gravy, house special omelet, chorizo and eggs, home fries, hashbrowns, coffee. All hot and tasty. The salsa is homemade and has a nice kick!!
Amazing breakfast burritos! And the accompanying salsa with them was delicious too! Great for in house but they also accommodate to go orders which we did to enjoy in Joshua Tree NP. 🌯
Simple food done well. Wide selection of things on the menu, so a group of people with different tastes will be able to find something for everyone. Friendly service welcomed our group of 8 to dine in, and we returned the next day for take out which was just as good.

I am from out of town visiting family. I was looking up local establishments and found this. I knew this was the place to go after looking at the menu, and when my daughter-in-law suggested it, I knew it was a win. The Blue Burger was phenomenal and the French Fries and Zucchini fries were top notch! Thanks for a great dinner. We Door Dashed so I can not speak on the atmosphere.

I ordered two fish and chip dinners to go over the weekend. The total came to $23 and was ready in about 10 minutes. I drove around to the window and someone quickly greeted us and gave us our food. I was very surprised how good it was! The meals came with fries, tartar sauce, a vegetable, and a soup or salad (we chose soup). The soup of the day was bacon and potato which was pretty yummy, although I would have preferred to see the cup filled up a little more. The fish fry itself was fabulous and I would definitely order it again, I just wish it came with a little more fish. The fries desperately needed more seasoning but throwing salt on them was an easy fix. The vegetable it came with was asparagus and there was no other option to choose from. I personally don't love asparagus and I'm not sure if it pairs well with fish fry, but the person I had dinner with said it was some of the best cooked asparagus they had ever seen. Overall, the food was great and I recommend eating here. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because I would like to see slightly larger portion sizes and a choice in vegetable.
Great food. Fantastic friendly service. Good veggie options too. Chicken Strips and gyro chicken sandwich were awesome. Our goto lunch place everyday after finishing morning/noon at Joshua Tree national park and exiting from the ”29 palms " Gate.
Service was a little slow, had to wait a while after ordering. However, the options, portions, pricing and the food was AMAZING! Super surprising. Got turkey burger with Zucchini fries. Wide got veggie omelet, biscuits and gravy and fruit. We couldn't finish everything.
Delicious diner food, the takeout window actually works! We ordered ahead and pulled up, gave them our card, and then we got our receipt and food! Food was simple but delicious, we ordered the granny apple salad which came with granny apples, walnuts, raisins, and honey mustard. The French dip was standard but very reasonably priced!
