Had lunch there today. Service was slow and I almost walked out. The owners wife was not friendly.
I have has Pho at the restaurant on Broadway and the Pho restaurant on Longview.
Vietnamese Pho rated the lowest. and the Longview Pho was the highest. Tyler needs a good Pho Restaurant.
Excellent food! Good value and the staff was very friendly. Looks like a family business with owners on site. Several types of noodles available along with vegetarian offerings!
Ordered the stir fry noodles, MOST EXCELLENT! Seating was awkward, just seat yourself. Food was fresh, hot, and delicious. Also the Vietnamese Coffee is great, very strong and sweet.
This place is kind of amazing, a diamond in the rough. I had spring rolls and flank steak pho, both of which were tasty and authentic. I will be back.
Great Comfort Food. Growing up in Ohio I live next door to a Viennese lady. She would cook her native dishes everyday and I would do the dishes exchange for a meal. They offers original Vietnamese cuisine with great taste.
Excellent food and Service!. We come to Pho at least one night a week. The owners always wave to us if they are not busy cooking. They’re always busy doing something. He will cook a custom meal for me, never complain about it. There are just 2 people working there so we are patient. ♡ it!
Very good pho and the spring rolls are highly addictive. The couple that owns this place are friendly and always remember us when we return. Fresh product and very tasty!
Great food. Don't come here for good service, as it is hit or miss, but you won't get better Vietnamese in Tyler. Never been disappointed with their food, and their pho is excellent, especially if you ask for it spicy! Price is reasonable and they offer a good selection of Vietnamese specialties. Worth the drive across town, just wish they were open on Sundays.
Fantastic. I'm not sure if Vietnamese food would be top on most lists for things to try in Tyler, but it should be. This place is excellent. I've been there a number of times, and the quality is always good. Even the things I've tried that I didn't like were prepared well.
My only complaint, and it's just because, is that it's a little spendy for something I'd like to be able to eat frequently. If I have it, I'll spend it at Pho Vietnamese. Nice people, great food and something different.
It was wonderful! Great little restaurant! Will drive across tyler any day to eat there! Spring Rolls and Pho is Yummy
Very nice, great experience. Three generations of our clan went to eat there. We had a great time, we tore up their Spring Rolls and wiped out several dishes of Vietnamese goodies. A clear favorite of our crew was the Pho. The soup itself was very tasty and delicious. The adults has Flank Steak Pho (#15), Shrimp and Beef and Chicken Broccoli/Carrot (#22), and Scallop-Shrimp-Fish & Vegetable Over Crispy Egg Noodle (#43).
Go there, you will be rewarded by good food and good service. It is a mom-and-pop (literally) so if it's packed, service will not be the fastest but if you schedule allows it, you taste buds will be rewarded.
Pho is great comfort food. Crepes are also delicious.
Depends on the day. So don't come here for a half and hour lunch. You are NOT going to make it back to work on time! Try calling ahead with your order. They have one server (the wife) running everything in the front, and one cook (the husband) in the back. Orders are made one at a time, so it is always fresh, but if there are already people sitting and waiting it might be better for you to come back another time! The food has been consistently good, but last time I went the portion was a little small. Number 43 is my favorite! This place would get so much more business if they could just hire a couple good people to help in the kitchen, and on the floor to get orders out faster. Overall I recommend giving it a try, considering I think they are the only Pho place in Tyler.
Always delicious, and a great change of pace from your typical Tyler mainstays. Keep meaning to upload photos, but I get too excited once I get my food to remember to do so!
Love it. Best place ever! So good! Lots of food
Food is excellent. The chicken pho is really good! I would definitely recommend this if you live in Tyler and are craving Vietnamese food.
Best place ever! So good! Lots of food
AMAZING vegetarian pho soup!!. Even if you love meat, you have to give the vegetarian pho soup a try! It is filled with vegetables and has the most delicious broth I've ever tried. They also have good spring rolls, and my meat-eating friends order dishes that look and smell just as good. Service can be slow at times, but it's worth the wait. This is some of the most authentic, home-cooked food available in Tyler. It's also a lot more affordable than the other "Asian" restaurants in town.
Delicious Noodles, PHO sure....!!. Got a hankerin' for a piping hot bowl of Vietnamese Noodles while visiting Tyler, Texas? This restaurant is sure to please even the most seasoned restaurant critic!!
The staff (consists of the cook and a waitress) are as pleasant as can be and are ready to lend a hand if you need assistance in making your meal selection.
My personal favorite, 22A, is a delicious little soup. It is a Pork and Shrimp Noodle soup that comes with plate of bean sprouts and Basil leaves. You can season your soup however you would like (careful with the the "Hot Chili" sauce...it has a picture of a rooster on the bottle) and then top it off with a squeeze of lime. DELICIOUS!
The Spring Rolls come with a side of a tasty peanut sauce. I highly recommend the Spring Rolls. The Egg Rolls are quite good, as well.
The restaurant is in a strip shopping center that houses a "Dollar Tree" store as well as a Chinese/Mexican restaurant (?) that I have yet to try.
Come keep these fine folks in business. I would hate to see this establishment "go under" due to lack of business.
The food is GREAT..... and the place is SUPER CLEAN, by the way!
My absolute favorite place to try new things! Love this place!
Excellent! Being from houston, I miss good vietnamese food, Pho fills the gap!!
Pho's is fabu!. Just ask Kim to smile - she will!
Terrific food - very clean.
So delicious. I go here twice a week - and ruin a blouse every time!
All right, but great for Tyler. I should say that I've had better Vietnamese, especially in Louisiana, but I am usually still very happy to eat the good food at Pho. I should emphasize that this place IS NEVER DIRTY, it's very tidy and cute in its under-decorated way...nothing fancy. And I've come to expect pretty slow service, since usually there are only two people working, and don't think either is a "pro" server. I say this because it pays to expect this when going to Pho, otherwise you might just be frustrated. As for the food, I concur with most of the reviews here; I'm just happy to be able to get spring rolls (the non-fried, "salad roll" type) again. I do wish Tyler had a more ethnically diverse set of restaurants, as more patronage and competition might mean better versions of the (so-called) "ethnic" cuisine. We are a much poorer community than most residents seem to realize; Tylerites generally seem to inhabit a very small world and not know what they're missing. I'm happy that Pho redresses this provincial backwater problem in its small homespun way.
Eat Soup With Chopsticks! (Seriously!). OK, I admit it...my first effort to try out this restaurant led me to the "safer" Mexican food place down the street...only because I feared making a fool of myself attempting to eat Pho. But I cowboyed-up on my second attempt and, boy, I'm glad I did!
Full disclosure -- I did my homework. I read online how one should attempt to eat Pho. When the garnish of bean sprouts and basil arrived at the table, I placed the bean sprouts beneath the pho noodles in the piping-hot broth. (Seriously, the broth was about 10,000 degrees!). I also pinched off a few basil leaves and added them to the broth, then I finished my customization with a good squeeze of lemon.
I was looking like a pro at that point. But then, I found out you can't eat Pho with a fork. First of all, rice noodles are a little "stiffer" than spaghetti....so you can't really cut them on the side of the bowl. So, when you twirl 'em up Italian style on the fork, you end up with a massive ball of 10,000-degree noodles -- no WAY you're going to attempt to eat it.
So I finally got up enough nerve to ask the staff to show me how to use chopsticks. TRUST ME ON THIS ONE -- it's MUCH easier to eat pho with chopsticks than a fork! Granted, you end up with noodles hanging down into the bowl...but the staff assured me it was perfectly acceptable to slurp up the noodles.
Well, I made it through the meal....and only spattered one shirt, one table, and perhaps a patron or two. But the experience was well worth it.
And, as luck would have it, there's several items on the menu that would be familiar to the Chinese-food fans out there, so don't turn down an invitation to try Vietnamese Pho. And, PUT DOWN THAT FORK, ok?
First Time. New to the area and was starving...Initially attracted by the mexican-chinese place next door...Im glad I choose this Vietnamese Restaurant....Best Asian food I have every had. Ordered the spicy beef mild and the waitress couldnt stop smiling, and my wife laughing... as the sweat rolled down my face! I couldn't stop eating it and im still thinking about it weeks later...its that good.
Epic WIN!. This place is soooooo good. The beef salad with whatever green you want (its the 4A-F) is absolutely off the wall good, the grilled shrimp are amazingly tasty (they have an earthy smokyness to them, I dont know how they achieve that flavor, but its really quite good) and all in all everything ive had has been absolutely satisfying, and the prices arent unreasonable. This is easily one of my favorite new restaurants in town. Try the 3A, Grilled Shrimp Spring Roll!
???????. Donnie stone ... I think you don't know about vietnamese food so ... you have to learning more about vietnamese food before say somthing OK!!!!
The real thing!. Finally a Pho place in Tyler. The Pho broth was very tasty. Other dishes were great! Went there twice in one week end!
Tasty Goodness. Heard about it and decided to try - so glad we did. The decor is spartan but the dishes are divine! Fresh, fast, delicious - what more can you ask for? We will return to be certain - food this fresh, this good, and this reasonably priced is a rarity in Tyler.
One of the best places to eat in tyler. I love being able to get something that isn't burger's and tex mex here in tyler.
when i was living here i used to get the pho to go at least once a week. it isn't the best pho i've ever had by any means, but its salty and delicious. i've eaten at this location and the longview location about 50 times combined. everything i've ever ordered there is great, except one of the pork spring rolls, but i can't remember which one...
anyone else dig the music they play in there?
and definitely try the "french-style coffee"...
Delicious Food!!!!!!. My husband and I went here for lunch a few weeks ago. I got the Pho beef soup and was unsure of how to eat it when the plate of bean sprouts and basil arrived but the staff was very helpful and instructed us how to eat it. The soup was delicious and the egg rolls over noodles was very good. I would definately recommend this place. I agree with other reviewers that Tyler desperately needs more diverse restaurants and this one fits the bill. So everybody support this place and enjoy a different but delicious cuisine that you would normally have to drive to Dallas to get.
Amazingly Awesome. Quite possibly some of the best food I have eaten in quite a while. The service is great. For 3 people running the entire place, the food comes to you fresh and fast. The portions are huge and the prices are very reasonable. I have eaten there once as of the writing this review and it has already cracked my top 5 eateries. You must check this place out.
Very impressed!. Amazing food served in massive portions at a reasonable price. The owners are lovely and while the decor is sparse, I certainly didn't mind...it just shows that they concentrate more on the quality of their cuisine.
I highly recommend the Xa Xiu and Eggs Rolls over Vermicelli. The Chicken Mix Cabbage was also very nicely done.
It's great to find this kind of top-notch food in Tyler!
Excellent!. Vietnamese restaurants generally are not about ambieance or decor......it's all about the food. If you wnat atmosphere go to Bernards or Texas Road House!
Pho Restaurant is authentic Vietnamese cuisine. Healthy, fresh ingredients & generous portions. Family owned & operated with a sister location on High street in Longview.
Great people!
Char grill pork & eggrolls with vermicilli(noodles) is awesome. As is the Chicken Pho(chicken noodle soup).
LOVE this place.... Amazing food, kinda slow service...but the food is worth the wait if the place is busy.
the chicken Pho is awesome, i also think highly of the lemongrass chicken..
Impressed and didn't think I would be. Met a friend here and was being a bit risky to go for Vietnamese, but was PLEASANTLY surprised. Everything was cooked fresh for us after we ordered it. I had the meatball/sausage soup-- wow! The best part was that one of the family member owners gave me a great tutorial on using fresh herbs, spices and condiments upon request. I encourage all my friends to go here because these folks NEED to stay in business and stay in Tyler-- purely selfish, because I want to go back here Let's help 'em out, k?
Pleased..... I went there today and the restaurant had a decent amount of people. My service was fast and the food was fresh. I was happy to enjoy fresh vietnamese food versus fried everything in Tyler. It was a great change and well enjoyed. The atmosphere is a bit lacking but is not important. Try the Vietnamese coffee on ice. It is great! If you are a coffee lover. It is brewed right at your table.

Real Thing. Tylerites have clamored for culture; now we have more of it. It's real authentic Vietnamese food right here in our own backyard. Forget the atmosphere, enjoy the tasty treats from half way around the world.
Short on atmosphere but made up in food.
The verdict: Well I only tried the spring rolls with roast pork and the special Pho soup, but I was very impressed and can't wait to go back and try some of the more esoteric items on the menu. If you care about food and are looking for a different, authentic eating experience, then give this unassuming little place a try.
The house soup pho came with frank steak, beef brisket and meatball it was good but the frank steak had a weird taste didn't like it at all. the other meats were good, we also had egg rolls and spring rolls both delicious 😋and also a crunchy noodle dish with beef and shrimp delicious too😉👍🍜🥣🍤
I love it here. I brought my kids. The food os amazing and made fresh when you order. One of the best parts is they remember you. I love that...especially when I go so often.
The "21" and egg rolls are top knotch!
Such a great place to eat. Pho is always the best and the restaurant is always really clean. The couple that own the place are always very polite.
Very good food. Made fresh served very hot. I had chicken pho and beef fried noodles. The jasmine tea was unusual for me but i added a lime and it was very refreshing, and supposed to be very good for you! I will come back.
Tasty shrimp spring rolls! Huge shrimp 😂 and pork pho was rich and flavorful. A return visit is expected.
Hey! They added soft music to background and it was low key instrumentals! Perfect! Very clean and gentleman waiter was very pleasant! Vietnamese egg rolls fried beautifully . Flaky and very nice.! Soup , to me, wonderful!!! Gonna be back! 1st timers to a Vietnamese restaurant would be smart to try here.
