I tried to find something I did not like about Cameo Cafe, but I was woefully unable. In the large parking lot adjacent to Club Green Meadows, Cameo Cafe's building is obviously dated, reminiscent of a 1970s diner, and with somewhat unkempt landscaping lining the front. The interior is also dated, but serviceable. Ambiance is not a strength, until you enter the rear garden, adjacent to and overlooking one of the holes on Club Green Meadows' golf course, it is full of beautiful flowers and tables with large umbrellas ... rELaXeD!
We met a friend for lunch on the patio on a perfectly beautiful spring day. Not in the mood for a cocktail from their adjacent bar, we had coffee and ice water instead. My wife ordered the French Toast ($8), I the Bacon Cheeseburger ($11.50), and our friend the Chicken Bento ($11).
The french toast's three large, thick slices of texas toast were battered and fried, then topped with maple syrup and sprinkled with powdered sugar. My wife absolutely loved it and at just $8, it was not a bad value.
My burger was ENORMOUS, a half-pound of ground beef on a toasted brioche bun along with bacon, cheese, grilled onions, lettuce and tomato. It was one of the best burgers I have had in a long time and a TREMENDOUS value at just $11.50, including the hot, crispy fries. The french fries had a seasoned coating which I have not seen before, but they were tasty and fried to perfection as previously stated - hot and crispy.
Our friend had the chicken bento, but I did not mooch a taste although he seemed as if he enjoyed it very much ... HOOAH!
The service was very friendly and efficient. They opened the patio for us, cleaning off a table just because we asked if we could sit outside as it was such a nice day.
I was a bit hesitant to try Cameo Cafe because of the odd menu, a menagerie of eclectic breakfast, lunch and dinner items, including egg dishes, biscuits and gravy, sandwiches, COLOSSAL soup, fish & chips, and stir fries, among others. I am sure glad we decided to go because the perfect spring day was only that much better, accompanied by a scrumptious, filling lunch in a beautiful setting with a good friend. What more could I have asked for?

Great breakfast. Lovely place, there is a wonderful patio for spring and summer dining. I have only tried the breakfast, but I really enjoyed my visit.
Country Benedict Benedict. Holy cow what a lot of delicious food! This is a new item on the menu. You get two biscuits or english muffins with country fried steak and egg on top smothered in delicious spicy country gravy. Oh and if that isnt enough you get hashbrowns with some fruit on the side and of course their delicious strong bread. Mmmm new winner!
Nice Place. I've only eaten here once with a former friend of mine. The food was good though the portions were a bit small for the price and the wait staff was friendly. If you haven't eaten here, give them a try.
Great place to eat, reasonable prices, great staff!
Good food, spotty service. Food is good & during the week there are 6-9 breakfast specials. Beware Sunday mornings as it's near a huge church & gets packed.
Breakfast is generally pretty expensive, lunch cheaper. Good prime rib on friday evenings
Simply amazing. We are very particular about breakfast restaurants. The location is out of the way and on a golf course- not our usual choice, but we were open to the experience. I'm so glad we were! Service was excellent. We ordered crab and avocado benedict (I fancy myself as an eggs benedict conisieur), fresh peach belgian waffle and a Korean pancake with a side of kim chee. All 3 dishes were fantastic. The kim chee was homemade as were the other sauces brought to the table (a raspberry sauce and a red hot sauce). The Korean pancake was cooked perfectly and truly Korean. Not something you'd expect to find in a non-Asian restaurant. The crab benedict was perfect. It's easy to screw up a benedict, so to me, its generally a good measure of a breakfast establishment. The crab was real, fresh crab in big chunks. Fresh avocado slices And a delicate hollandaise. The side of fresh fruit (instead of hashbrowns) was generous and peak freshness. The fresh fruit belgian waffle was what fresh fruit waffles should look like- it was not draped in a syrupy glop of fruit. Sliced peaches sprinkled in cinnamon and real whipped cream. Bacon slices were thick and cooked perfectly. This place is an unassuming gem of a place. We will certainly be back again!
Dinner at Cameo Cafe. I chose the Cameo Cafe for my birthday dinner because I was attending another party and needed a non-chain restaurant in the area. I knew nothing about the restaurant other than the limited information on the website.
Service: Average. My family was seated when we arrived, but no one had drinks, and there was some heavily over-buttered toast on the table. Odd. The waitress never asked if we wanted drinks, so I finally flagged her down and ordered an iced tea. Considering we were the only customers in the restaurant, it seemed like we waited a long time for our food.
Food: Above-average. The portions are large, and everyone seemed to enjoy their meal. The veggies in the stir fry looked fresh, the salad was crisp, and my brother-in-law loved his cheese ravioli in a sage butter sauce. I had a coconut waffle that, while dry, was perfectly cooked. It was served with a side of meat and egg.
I've heard this place is known for breakfast, so if I'm ever in the area, I will visit again to see if the service improves. The prices seem a bit high for the quality of food ($13.95 for a pork chop breakfast?), but there are some hidden gems, like biscuits and gravy for $5.95.
Great Breakfast cafe. They have unique pancakes not found anywhere else i've been too. Superb service and provides excellant dining experience.
