Went there for lunch and was surprised by the quality of the food. Super fresh and yummy. By far one of the best Thai food I've ever had. Owner is super friendly and offers you tea, soup and fresh salad roll once you sit down.

Note: This place is no longer Thai NW Express, it's now Mongkolchai Thai Restaurant. It's in a small strip mall that also houses a gas station. The back of the restaurant faces the street, so it's easy to miss if you're not looking closely. As soon as my husband and I walked in we were greeted by a smiling host. He promptly sat us down and gave us free Tom Yum soup and a salad roll. He also informed us that we got a free hot tea or thai iced tea as well. The soup and thai iced tea were good and the salad roll was precisely what it sounds like. Not a shabby start for being free. The host asked us for our names while taking our order and from there on out we were called on by name. There were plenty of menu options and a few specials, but I am a sucker for pad thai so I of course ordered that (medium spice level). We didn't have to wait long for our food and our meals were both good and reasonably priced. My pad thai also had just the right amount of spice to it. If you're in the neighborhood, I would definitely recommend stopping in.

Don't let the location discourage you. This place has great food, a friendly staff and is clean. Of all the Thai places in the Portland/Vancouver area this is my favorite.

Owners know my girlfriend and I by name. Its always fun and full of energy! Best Thai restaurant in vancouver!
