Friendly staff, delicious food, and a great atmosphere combine to make this a hidden gem of Venice. Food is fresh and tasty. Free refills on sodas and unique flavor options! I will be back, it was worth the little bit of wait.

Ooh so good!!! The fish tacos rock like no others... Made fresh to order. Probably good that we don't live closer to this place. I'd have a hard time only eating here once a week!!!

Way better than Taco Bell. It cost more but everything is fresh. Only complaint is service could be better. Definitely needs more experienced staff.

We were visiting the Venice area for the first time, looked up Mexican food and read the reviews for Tomatillas. We visited on 12-1-23 early afternoon and much to our surprise they were very busy. We ate in and our food was excellent! We both had the Junkyard Bowl. What made this place excellent was the staff! We asked if they were the owners because they both were working so hard and fast. They laughed when asked, but shared their names, Krystal and Ryan. We were quite impressed with their high work ethic and how personable they were with us and others who ate in and the drive thru. They made recommendations as we made our choices, put items on the side, Gave us 2 kinds of salsa to try. Basically bent over backwards to please. Try the Corn Salsa! (per his recommendation), I would go back just for that!
Ryan and Krystal made me fresh food and made me feel at home. This is the most amazing restaurant experience I've ever had before in my life. Thank you Ryan and Krystal, I'm bringing family and friends there on the week of Christmas. Thank you guys so much! The food was amazing! 🤤
Last time we went to Tomatillos, which was months ago, we really disappointed. The tacos and burritos were very small and warm. This time was totally different. The girl at the counter was very patient with me because I kept ordering each time she thought I was done. The beef, chicken and pork tacos were delicious. We ordered three of each, but we could only finish two of each. The burritos were delicious and weighed about 3lbs. Looking forward to our next Taco Tuesday at Tomatillos! Thank you!
Best tacos I have ever had in my life. I can't say they're the best restaurant in the world but I definitely know they are the best taco joint in the entire Gulf Coast of Florida. Staff is fast and friendly and the indoor dining is clean and comfortable.
Stopped here on a whim while headed to Sarasota and very pleased! Got the street tacos - carnitas and beef. Both were delicious but would get more carnitas next time. Staff was very friendly and fast and the place was clean.
Food is good. You won't be hungry afterwards that's for sure.

Nacho cheese sauce is perfect heat, not too spicy. I also like that they offer mild and hot Pico. The steak is my fav and hubby loves the chicken. Empanadas are good too.
Definitely recommend. They are a bit hidden but just pass right on by the McDonald's and get real food. 🙂
On our way back to Naples and decided to stop and give this place a try. Was very impressed with the taste, price, and portion. Just honestly a great experience. Wish we had one in Naples. The chicken empanadas are so good I bought two more to go on the way out. Ground beef on the nachos was seasoned great as well.
Super good I was expecting it to be a restaurant, but when I came in it was kind of like fast food… Super fast and restaurant quality definitely impressed me and I’m picky
Awesome food- great place to grab a quick burrito or bowl made to order with fresh ingredients. Carnitas tacos, chicken burritos, soooooo good! And a great value - you get tons of great food at a super reasonable price - got the 'mini' burrito and it was huge. A must try! Yum!
Food was delicious. We had the chicken burrito and the nachos. It was very flavorful and made for a great lunch. I highly recommend.
We placed our order to go, even though we had a bit of a drive to get home. We both ordered the Macho Nachos. The wonderful counter clerk put a double order of chips in one container, all the cold toppings for both orders together in another metal container, and all the hot things (meat and cheeses) into separate Styrofoam containers so we could reheat them if necessary. Everything was absolutely excellent! I will for sure go here again!
LOVE THIS PLACE! LOVE THEIR FRESH TACO SALADS and the service is always very good! Not a lot of seating inside, but there are patio tables outside which is nice.
Bobbie is the best! She treats me and my kids like family! The food is great too :) Love this place!
The enironment could be cleaner. Outside chairs and door handles need improvement.
Outside seating available is a big plus though.
