My friend and I have been wanting to try the new alehouse and today was a perfect day to do that. Let’s just say the pictures don’t do it justice. It’s beautifully decorated and super chill. Music was nice, low enough so you can have a conversation without yelling, and the TVs were on in case you wanted to catch the latest scores or games. The bar was stunning. Overall, the atmosphere was comfortable and the décor rich and inviting. Our server was friendly and attentive and the food was excellent. We ordered the humus appetizer which was outstanding (soft bread and fresh veggies with 2 large scoops of fresh humus and olives). There was plenty of humus to go around - we even had enough for a take-home box. I had the caprese salad which was huge, fresh and delicious – plenty for lunch and a take home box. My friend had the turkey melt sandwich. The sandwich was large and delicious. The kettle chips were devoured – must have been good because she didn’t even share one (the other half of the sandwich made for a perfect dinner). Great, inexpensive gourmet lunch! Plenty for big or small eaters or for someone looking for more flavor and excitement in their food. We will definitely be going back. Next time we’ll try dinner with beer and wine. I can see Cask Alehouse being a regular hang-out or at the least, a great go-to place for lunch, dinner or happy hour.

Went to have a pint after work and rain into some old friends. My turkey sandwich was delicious and the vanilla stout on point.

Loved the food and the friendly staff. The on-tap selection is very good. The local art is beautiful. On top of all that, they're a registered Ocean Friendly Restaurant and help reduce litter and pollution.

Great tasting menu, bountiful list of drink selections, the nicest owners and staff. Then there's the ambiance from the long oval bar, high tables, and the casual living room settings where you can really relax with your group. They support local artist and the ONLY place to hear live music in mid-town!!!

Awesome soup! Creamy tomato, and I had the The cask chicken burger, which is to die for!! My friend had the soup as well, and the asparagus, with garlic puree. Crazy, crazy good! Highly recommend, check it out!

First off we weren't planning on going here. Just a simple trip to Hallmark. Hope mentioned the new Ale House is open, want to check it out? I usually refrain from drinking ales on short notice (huh?! Shane refusing good ?) What a nice surprise as we entered a very hip and modern looking Ale house of local brews. Karra (hope the spelling is right) approached us and told us we were their first customer's. I was thinking first of the day, but actually it was first ever. So i was like oh no, this is going to bad, a rookie establishment. Boy was I wrong! The beer selection was exceptional and the grub selection was nice too. We chose the Cask house sandwich and the meat slab pizza. Both were very tasty but the pizza really stood out with me. The flatbread artisan style pizza was scrumptious! It's been about hour since leaving and wish i had leftovers. Kara and Letty were very accommodating hosts that made us feel like family. Our waitress Lindsey was very sweet and personable and attentive too. We'll definitely be back for more. For you sports fans they have multiple tv's showing the various games too, for you non sports fans don't worry it isn't blasting the audio of the games. The Cask House is something the East/mid town Ventura has been needing and now we have it, Yeah!

Really enjoyed all the food we ate. Lots of beer but I enjoyed the wine. Very nice wine list. I was glad to be able to see the game on the nice big TV screens. Very friendly and efficient staff. Thanks for a nice evening.

Excellent selection in wines and beers. Nice environment. Shared the 3 meat/3 cheese platter and the ribeye salad and it was perfect and delicious. The 7 layer bar was an excellent end to the night out.

First time there after driving by it for 2+ years. The location always struck me as strange. What a nice place, beautiful interior, great music in the background, a stellar selection of on tap beers and awesome food. We had the BBQ pork pizza, prosciutto wrapped Jalapeno's and the giant pretzels with spicy homemade mustard. Everything was excellent and made only better by the fantastic service. We will definitely be back! BTW: I'm not being paid or compensated for this review but would gladly accept a free beer.

Just moved to Ventura, yesterday was my first time at the Alehouse. Boy am I impressed. This place is the Starbucks of beers, the atmosphere is incredible. I had a delicious burger and a few tasty beers, thanks to the recommendation of your lovely bartender. The hospitality was definitely felt. Looking forward to being a regular.

we like going to Cask Alehouse because it is a good place to get a beer and eat-they have a great selection of craft beers and really good food like you would expect from a great local pub. Mac and cheese is great, pizzas, pasta-these are some of my favs. their wine selection is ok.

I'm glad to have an alehouse/wine bar on the east end of Ventura. Craft has a pleasant and simple decor, a decent wine list, a good beer list with many local craft beers which change periodically, and a good food menu. I've visited four times and had a good experience every time. I do wish the beer was a dollar cheaper per pint. I've enjoyed the pizza and the meat & cheese plate.

Great selection if you're tired of the typical Newcastle, 805, Bud and Coors selections. Any place that finds a keg of Founders KBS when it's in season knows beer. They run about 20 taps and there's sure to be a beer style you'll enjoy. The only reason I don't rate a 5 star is I have yet to try food there (I only go late evening after work) and they sometimes close up to an hour earlier than their posted hours on slow nights in the midweek. I've been going there a couple times a month since about March and every few visits they have a few new beers on their menu. It's worth a look for beer connoisseurs.

Cask Alehouse knows their beers and wines, and will expertly help you find your new favorite libation. The food is also stellar, and the ambience is just right. It is at once both unpretentious and the highest class of beer garden. The experience can't be beat!
