Shandong Noodle House is my new Vero Beach favorite for Chinese food. Having tried several other places in the local area, I came across Shandong while making a pit stop at the Verizon Wireless store in the same shopping center.
Curry chicken with fried rice and Russian soup - yes, you've found my Russian connection now - I added a spring roll for $1.00 more. Soup was an instant favorite and I enjoyed the other dishes as well.
Clean, but small, restaurant on Miracle Mile, just west of Indian River Boulevard. I get the feeling that at the normal lunch or dinner time, this place is packed. It was busy when I arrived for a late lunch just before 3 p.m. Friendly wait staff and clean restrooms.
Shandong Noodle House is closed on Tuesday. Please make a note of that before you make the drive. A large take out menu and many specials - including several family dinner specials - are available. I was going to order take out the other night but didn't realize it was Tuesday.

Awesome lunch. We dine here about once a week. The pork dumplings are awesome. My favorite thing on the menu is the pepper chicken, it never disappoints. The pan fries noodles are also great, as are the soups. We've only had a few time where everything wasn't up to par, but everyone has always been great and the food is worth it.
Authentic Chinese Cuisine. I've spent the last eleven years living in China and my wife is Chinese. We came to Vero Beach this year to visit my mother and tried several of the Chinese restaurants in town. This is the only restaurant serving authentic Chinese food from the Mainland (not HK). The rest are just crap. If you're looking for "American" Chinese food, as I suspect the two reviewers below this were, then this is not the place for you... This is the real deal and it's awesome. If you want to try an authentic Chinese meal this is the place to go. If my wife had her way we would have been there every night of the trip.
Excellent noodles and dumplings. This is far and away the best noodle, congee, dumpling house in Vero and better than many in Washington DC. Try any of the the above and seafood dishes. They are uniformly excellent. The restaurant is small and lacks ambiance but don't let this deter you. Just take things home, if you dislike the simplicity. A terrific find!
My husband and I went here while on our weekend vacation a.k.a last hurrah before I deliver our baby Emma in 9 days. So glad we came here for dinner. Food was amazing! It's a small quaint take out looking place in a newer shopping plaza, tricky to find if staying at a hotel on the beach like us, but worth the less than 10 mins. Drive. We got pork dumplings, chicken noodles, and honey garlic chicken with fried rice. It was all superb!
Best Chinese style Asian food in vero beach hands down.The food here is fresh and home made tasting . The noodles are wonderful, any dish with noodles from here will not disappoint.
Authentic with Superb Service. There is nothing glittery about the location or seating area, and if you didn't know it was there you could miss it. That would be a mistake! The restaurant was comfortable, quaint, and very clean, but what impressed me the most was the authenticity of the food and at very reasonable prices. Not easy to find in this neck of the woods. We will most certainly be back with friends.
WOW! Amazing Food. I just ate lunch from this restaurant after reading the two positive reviews on here and I'm so glad I did. I think I just found my new favorite restaurant. I ordered the General Tso Chicken and it was Amazing. Definitely the best General Tso I've ever had. They didn't have that fatty batter all over them and they actually used real chicken (compared to most other Chinese places where you can't tell exactly what kind of meat it is). I ordered the fried rice and I think they used brown rice which you don't see very often. It was't greasy what so ever. You could taste the egg, broccoli, and carrots, so fresh! The sauce that the chicken was coated in was AWESOME! Anyway, I could go on and on about this place. Just GO check it out!
P.S. it came with Chinese Russian Soup and a home made egg roll (egg roll was crunchy outside and sweet inside), I haven't tried the soup yet.
Love it. We have been here a few time and love the place. It is small and the wait staff is inexperienced. do not expect noodles and sauces on your table. This is not your typical Cantoese or Sechuwan place. The Shrimp Balls are excellent and the dumplings are the best in town. The main courses such as the Pan Fried Noodles with chicken are superior as is the Chicken with Walnuts. I also liked the Dry Braised Shrimp. It is, by far, the best Chinese place in town!
You gotta go!. The food is awesome. Very authentic, according to our friends who lived in China. Very clean, appealing decor,the staff was efficient. Please, dont tell the owner how inexpensive it is! The Dumplings were great, noodles were perfection.
I always get their beef pan fried noodles. Never disappoints. Some of the noodles are made in house. Not your regular Americanized “Chinese Takeout”. Some don’t know the difference. This is authentic Chinese food no doubt. Some of these dishes are hard to find in many Chinese restaurants. The price is matched with quality.
Absolutely delicious 😋. The best Chinese food I've had in a long time. The people are friendly and it was spotless! Best in Vero Beach 🏖️I love the vibe! This is definitely my favorite new restaurant 💯
Moved here from a big city with lots of quality Asian food available, and I was sorely missing my tasty noodles and wontons until I found this place. Excellent authentic food, we will happily keep coming back for more. :)
Great food made fresh. The steamed pork dumplings are second to none & melt in your mouth. The lunch/dinner specials are wonderful. Good beer selection, fair pricing & excellent quality.
