A cool spot that could be real easy to miss. Sits across the street from my Vet, so I decided to check them out cause I was looking for a coffee place near by. It looks like an old country house that could use a little TLC on the outside, but it kind of adds to the charm of it. Went with an iced mocha with an extra shot, was great. Definitely will go back once I have another pup appointment.

Delicious coffee drinks. Not cheap by any means but the quality is there. They also have one of the best croissants around, me thinks they are made of sourdough. From the outside the house looks a bit decrepit but that's on purpose because the interior is very quirky (in a nice way). Service is on point.

Absolutely wonderfully cozy! I’m at Sawdust Road Coffee, relaxing, drinking a lemon blueberry iced latte, eating a strawberry citrus scone, and will have a Kombucha later! Atmosphere is relaxing, placed in a historical house. I could stay here for hours! If you live in the Virginia Beach/ Norfolk area, it’s definitely worth the drive! Only thing I’d like, is wider tables for the armchairs to put books and your coffee on, tables near armchairs are somewhat absent. But other than that, this coffee shop is fantastic! I will be coming here again!

I love this cute little coffee shop so much! It’s in an old house and it just feels so cozy. There is plenty of seating inside and out so you can make yourself comfortable while getting your caffeine fix. The lattes are really good and the sandwiches are fresh and tasty. The menu changes seasonally so there’s always a good variety of items to choose from. The folks that work here are super friendly and do a great job ringing people up, making the food/drinks, and bringing orders out. If you need a locally owned coffee spot to check out, give this place a visit.

I’ve been going to Sawdust since they opened! The staff and owner have always been super friendly, more than accommodating and it’s truly my fave local coffee spot! I bring my kids here to play on their outdoor play areas (more so when they were little), and they love the French toast sticks, parfaits and overnight oats. My personal faves are an iced Equinox, with either the breakfast burrito, the boss lady, fiesta bowl or sweet potato waffle. The quality of their food and drinks is very apparent in the unique flavors and often locally sourced ingredients that dances on your pallet. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the love and passion that the owner and staff puts into providing a unique cafe experience. Over the years when there has been a small ‘hiccup’ (usually just new hires who are still getting acclimated) I’ve always reached out to the owner and he’s always been very receptive and kind to constructive feedback. I truly appreciate consistency and pride in service and it’s clear that the owner wants to give the best experience to all his guests. I can’t recommend this place and the service enough!!!

A great spot for coffee, but not consistent. We stop in when we’re visiting home and typically this is our favorite place. This last time the coffee was absolutely disgusting. We through out the coffees immediately. Not sure what went wrong, but disappointed. Recommend trying and gathering your own thoughts.

Beautiful place to come and have some lunch and your favorite cup of coffee. The vibe and atmosphere here was so enjoyable. Plenty of seating indoors and outdoors, and also pet friendly! The menu has a lot of variety and options and the lattes were fantastic! The rooms are all beautifully decorated and the staff were very kind! We will definitely be back to enjoy again!

Very cute and kitschy house renovated into a cafe, with various rooms converted into seating areas for guests. It's an absolute must see and probably the coolest coffee shop in Virginia Beach, and the food and drinks are very good. Per my own local guide, we were desperately lucky the morning weather turned out moody and cold, otherwise we would have been waiting for upwards of hours or more for drinks and food. On the bright side, it's very much so a small local owned place where they remember you by sight alone and can come and find you with your coffee no matter where you are on the property, make all the food to order, and make everything (and it's delicious!!) in house. On the down side, when the line is encroaching on 1hr+ for a drink this system seems inefficient. The worst time to go is apparently right after church lets out on Sundays, although generally the weekends are packed. Also per my local guide, during summer weekends she actually goes to starbucks first for her caffeine fix before waiting in line for this place.

This was an unexpected find. Very homey and sends a calm, relaxing vibe. Plenty of room inside and outside. Even the 2nd floor is open for seating. There’s even a play area for kids and a garden that’s brimming with harvest. The workers are very informative. The credit card machine was giving them difficulty but they were very calm. Instead of ordering food, we got a honey lavender latte. If you like it strong, this is one you should get. There’s just a hint or lavender and honey. Personally, I would’ve liked more honey and lavender. But that’s on me. Definitely recommend this place.

Stopped by this hidden gem for coffee and breakfast. From the outside it looks like a regular farm house you would see while driving the twisty roads of Princess Anne. On the inside, it's a cozy boho B&B (without the bed). It offers open seating pretty much anywhere on the property, you pick your experience. The coffee was heavenly! With homemade syrups and delightful flavor pairings, it's easy to see why you can spend your whole morning here. Both dishes were rich and savory in their own (see pics). The Belgian Waffle with fresh berries and maple syrup really sparked the taste buds. To really take the Grilled Cheese to the next level, be sure to add bacon & avo. You won't be disappointed! Sawdust road did an amazing job handpicking their staff! They were all friendly and helpful. They have the Pungo hospitality that really made dining here an experience.

This is a fantastic place of coffee. They offer a wide variety of everyone’s favs but I find the conversation, distribution of Onyx coffee, and the kid souls hanging out to be the winning recipe. Skip the latte, get a pour over and a scone, and enjoy the porch life.

I stumbled into this place on my way from Sandbridge to Virginia Beach. It was the perfect road side cafe. Great sandwiches with some unique flavor, good coffee and fun atmosphere. Parking is a bit odd and I wasn’t the most confident on where to approach/enter (it feels like you’re walking into someone’s home). But other than that the experience couldn’t have been better. Plenty of spaces to have a quiet conversation or gather a larger group, and outdoor space for when the weather is nice.

Cute coffee shops are hard to come by in the Hampton Roads area but this is top 5 for sure! Being from Vegas, I’m used to more variety so when I discovered this deliciously eclectic location, I quickly became a fan. There is a communal atmosphere with plenty of seating on both of the floors of this redone house with something interesting on every wall. It’s great for catching up over coffee, studying, laptop work, etc. I tried their new sandwich The EMMA which was FANTASTIC. Loved the sauce and how it enhanced the bacon. Also tried their iced peppermint mocha and mannn it hit the spot. Not too sweet or overpowering, the perfect balance of Christmas in a cup!

Old house turned coffee shop. Great selection of coffee drinks and assorted breakfast items( tacos. Millenial toast, sandwiches, muffins etc) Staff is very friendly and helpful. Inside is comfortable and aesthetically pleasing. A coffee shop curated for morning relaxation. A mix of old knickknacks and new art. Highly recommend.

I’ve had a few coffee drinks here, their sawmill latte and the “black water” cold brew. Both were great, as was the avocado toast. It’s also just in a very neat spot, in a small town old building turned into a coffee shop.

All-around five-star experience. Not only is the staff friendly, but the food and coffee drinks are delicious. You can’t ask for a more welcoming environment

I love Sawdust Road. I will have to add more pictures next time but it’s essentially an old house so there’s a lot of different room and a wrap around porch. The owners are awesome and the coffee and food is always delicious. There is ample parking outside and kids are welcome. Support this small business and coffee shop in the Pungo area. You won’t regret it.

Wanted a local coffee place instead of a Starbucks and definitely found it - husband got a pourover and I got their signature latte (iced - it was super hot out!) and both were absolutely delicious. We also got breakfast that was incredibly good - highly recommend the avocado toast (pic is only one of the two pieces I got). My only regret is that it was just ten minutes from our rental house and we didn't find it until our last day in town!
