What an awesome little cafe tucked away right in the middle of the Regent University campus. I enjoyed the rustic, low-key vibe, but (more importantly) the coffee was great!
I ordered a light roast pour over, and it had a clean, bright taste. I look forward to visiting again soon.
Hidden gem inside Regent University's Dede Student Resource Building. There's a signage that clues you into the cafe haven find inside. Upon entering the building, go straight down, make a right onto a hallway. You know you're headed in the right direction if you see a gift shop on the left right before you go through Cafe Moka's entrance.
Inside you'll get the feeling of old-timey glamor where there are tons of clear glass lights from the ceiling against a backdrop of dark mahogany interior. The entire space is dim and huge. It's quiet too, perfect for working on your laptop, even research work akin to being at a library...
You're greeted with a smile by young barista and counter staff most probably students at Regent doing what they like to do in between classes and school commitments.
The menu on the wall shows a variety of drinks from hot chocolate to signature lattes to smoothies...I ordered the coffee crunch latte. There are cold canned/bottled beverages by the counter and some pastries on display. Stickers are available for sale.
The coffee crunch latte was delicious!
Definitely will come back to spread out and work!
Love this place, cozy with a rustic modern style and soft music playing. Perfect to relax in a homey atmosphere. The cafe mocha
is the best i've had and my daughter had a salty caramel hot cocoa, very yummy!
The atmosphere of the dining area is very comfortable and spacious. I met here with a friend to catch up and we ended up hanging out for over an hour!
I had a cafe latte that was served to me in a big mug. The foam was perfect the drink wasn't over-brewed and tasted fresh. The menu offers a great variety of drinks between coffee, espresso, tea, and smoothies. They also have a section with unique hand-crafted drinks on the menu.
There is nothing boring about this place. The location threw me off when I visited it and it seems to be out of the way from other major shopping centers. It's on the corner of a major intersection but that area is almost completely a residential area. The shopping center that it's in is a strip of maybe 4 or 5 businesses that are the first floor of a high-end apartment apartment building... I thought I was in the wrong place at first, but once you get inside, it's great!
I recommend this coffee bar to anyone who is looking for something out of the ordinary and wanting to try something new, and of course to anyone looking for a good latte.
The only place East of Norfolk to get real, coffee-snob level coffee. It is in the student center for Regent but open to the public.
I actually stumbled across Cafe Moka while waiting on a friend to get of class and have been going back ever since! It's a very cool, hip spot for people to hang out, or just study. People are friendly and the staff was really helpful with my selection. I've tried a few drinks but my go to is the White Chocolate Moka.

I have to drive around for a bit to find a spot or be prepared to walk. To sum it up establishment is clean, drinks are great, and people are welcoming.
The way Starbucks should be. Trendy decor with a nice relaxed up-to-date atmosphere, friendly, competent staff, and the coffee...AMAZING! Anything you get here will be good. I recommend the PB Moka frozen latte. It's worth going a little out of the way for this coffee shoppe.
Great place for groups to meet. Very few food options but great drinks. Lots of noncaffeinated options for those who can't do or don't want caffeine. Check out their steamers. Steamed milk with flavorings, it's amazing. In addition to regular delicious whipped cream, they have a weekly specialty whip cream flavor, like marshmallow or pumpkin spice.
Delicious coffee every time; you can't really go wrong with their extensive menu. The seating area of the Student Longue is cozy and spacious at the same time; you can meet with friends and have plenty of room to hang out, or sit in a quiet corner and read.
Nice cozy cafe with amazing lattes and great prices.
This place is the ONLY legitimate coffee shop that I have discovered in the 757. With their quality beans, plethora of brewing choices, and a quaint shop, this coffee house ranks #1 in my book. My husband and I frequent Cafe Moka every time we find ourselves in Chesapeake.
The environment is very warm and welcoming. The coffee its self is great and also a work of art. Very hipster and l deff enjoy doing my homework there. Great place to chat with friends and catch up!
Great BLACK coffee. Not only a variety of different coffees, but a variety of choices in the way you want them brewed. A simple pour over, a chemex, an Aeropress, or even a Siphon brew (the best and most impressive). Café Moka does it right! Great Latte's and specialty coffees! Don't like coffee? They also have great teas and smoothies.
They are a great local business with a great atmosphere! I've been a supporter since they opened. They won't do you wrong. You owe yourself to try it.
The coffee is a step above Starbucks but still just as expensive. However, if you're looking for a cup of coffee, you can't go wrong. It's on campus so it has some students but it's usually not busy and has friendly staff.
