We've been going to Famous Uncle Al's in Chesapeake & the VB Boulevard location for years. Every time we tried this location it just wasn't that great. BUT, they recently turned over to a new owner and renovated the space. Man, it's a world of difference. We went this evening and the staff was great and welcoming. Food was just as solid as the other locations. They chatted us up and were very kind. Since this location turned itself around and is the closest of them all, we'll definitely be back.

Buffalo fries are the bomb !!! Best hot dogs in the state !!! Pac man for 25 cents !!! Go Cowboys !!!

The Chicken Philly and Navy Bean soup was delicious with a $1.75 a beer to drink. The owner is a retired Firefighter so send some love his way by dining in his restaurant.

After hours at the aquarium, we enjoyed our late lunch here on Saturday! The hot dogs and the turkey sandwich (and the crushed ice!) were tasty; the service was prompt; everything was clean; and everybody was friendly. Oh...and we especially liked the music. :D My husband and boys were singing along with Elvis before we left. Thank you!!

I am not sure how or why I am so late with my review. I have been coming here for a few years now. This is a local spot. Love that they recognize the regulars. I get the same thing every-time... footling all beef hotdog with bacon cheese fries. The service is always welcoming. As a local it feels like home. It's diner style with a cozy and welcoming atmosphere.
Great hot dogs, quick service, extremely nice staff... what more could you want!? They recently brought back their daily specials/combos. Delivering works of art like the image attached brings a tear to my eye!
Wow....this place is a hidden gem! The food was amazing. It was hot fresh and delicious. The servers were warm and friendly. The food was delivered fast and accurately. The prices are great, too!! And CRUSHED ICE.....
I visited on a Saturday at 3:30. Only two other people here. The girl behind the counter was super nice. Took my order immediately. I had a hotdog and a hot smoked sausage. Both with yellow mustard, onions and chili. Both were very good. I would most definitely come back again.
They never miss...I eat my lunch here on Fridays when I'm in the area. Awesome food and staff
The waitress/owner was very friendly and down to earth and made me feel super comfortable. Also Uncle Als has a very laid back atmosphere

Food was delicious, and the tall guy on the fryer was very professional, funny, and did an amazing job with my mini corndogs.... perfectly cooked.... 10 out of 10 would recommend
Today I had a BLT. Plenty of B, L, and T on it. Service was prompt, friendly, and knowledgeable. I'll be back to try the rest of the menu items, such a variety!

Service was fast, restaurant was clean. The cheese curds are expensive but extremely worth it. The home fries are really good and the sloppy joe dog was great! Also has military discount Mondays :) Thank you!
