This is a no frills Chinese take out but very good take out it is. It is a little pricey but consider each takeout order covers about 3 separate meals. The menu has a good variety and everything I have ever ordered has been solid. That said I like egg rolls and the shrimp egg rolls they sell are the best I have found in this area. Order, take home, enjoy.
This Chinese food is super delicious! The lunch special is so cheap and the portions are so big! Only place I go for Chinese.
Good food, prices and portions. I know the people who own/work here so i'm a little biased, but we have SO many customers who order several nights a week and recommend to all their friends. food is fast and good. they have $4.25 lunch specials that come with a drink. some customers have been coming for 15 years +
Delicious!. I've lived in Virginia Beach for over 3 years, and until tonight have been somewhat disappointed with every chinese restaurant in the area that I've tried. Tonight I ordered from China City for the first time, and both my husband and I were 100% satisfied. The food was excellent, and the delivery was very quick. We will definitely be ordering from here from now on!
The food's great and the prices appear reasonable. The location was nice and clean and for spending as much money as we did we even got two free 2 liter sodas! My only issues were that the fried shrimp were very hit or miss as to whether or not they were cleaned properly and the fried rice was mostly onions with rice. Other than that the food was spot on! Didn't even mind the fried dumplings skins being a little on the thick side but the dipping sauce was delicious. Overall I will definitely be coming back here for my next Chinese take out craving!

We’ve lived her in VB for 2 years and have tried many different Chinese food places and kept being disappointed. Decided to give China city a go last night and was very impressed! The general tsos chicken is great! Chicken lo mein also very good! Will be going back there.
First time trying. I have to say it was better than the previous Chinese food restaurant I had been going to for awhile. This is alot closer and has basically all the items that the other one had. I got the chicken lomein, it was great, very fresh, hot and alot for the money. I think this will be my new place..
I come here a lot and I am always satisfied. The food is very good. The service is fast. The workers are genuine. I don’t go to too many other Chinese places because I’m picky about the way a lot of my foods are made. This place seems to get it right with just about everything.
This is the best Chinese food in Hampton Roads, hands down! When we first moved to Virginia Beach back in 2013 and found this place, we felt like we hit the jackpot of Chinese restaurants. We now live an hour away and yes, we still drive to this Chinese restaurant just to get food. People think we are nuts but once you find a Chinese food place that you like, it's hard to settle for anything else. The crab rangoon here is the best I've ever had and being we are military, we have lived in a lot of different places.

This place is always fast and the food is always delicious but be advised their website prices are very wrong. You’ll end up spending 10-15 dollars more than what’s advertised on the website. Definitely sucks when your on a budget and have to take things off your order cause the price is that much different!!
Their General T so's chicken and pork fried rice are the best, and when its lunch time their food are not expensive at all. Eat good food and pay less, sounds like a good deal to me. And their service are excellent, they all attend to you with a smile their faces.
Im doing construction on the building, and make it a habit to order szeshuan beef at new to me chinese food places. China city was good if you like the reddish sauce that is used by some.im not a fan as much but they did make it extra spicy as i asked and have no complaints . For the price of the lunch menu i was satisfied and would recommend .
