My wife and I were in town visiting family and decided to venture out to lunch. We spotted Chick Fil A on Independence Avenue and when we turned into the parking lot, spotted Kelly's Tavern right behind it. On a whim, we tried Kelly's Tavern not knowing what to expect.
Upon entering, we found a very clean, inviting sports bar/restaurant, with a sumptious menu with varied food choices. I opted for the blackened tuna soft tacos, my wife the buffalo chicken wrap. In a word, delicious and fresh!
Callie, our server, was friendly, engaging, attentive and professional. A delightful young lady that this restaurant needs to keep happy!

Food is a bit expensive, so I've only ever ordered appetizers to share. So far I haven't been disappointed, food is always fresh and delicious. They don't skimp on portions either, their grande nachos appetizer could feed a family of three as a full meal with leftovers.

I've been to this place a countless number of times and enjoy myself each time! I'm always served by such an amazing woman with a very welcoming and genuine personality, Yvette! She is by far the most polite and friendliest person ever! I always sit at the bar just to chat with her. She also makes the best drinks! I love the atmosphere here and the food served. There are many great options on the menu that are very reasonably priced! My favorite is the Classic Turkey burger which very much so tastes like a Big Mac. I don't eat beef, chicken, or pork so I am happy that they have turkey and veggie burger options. I also love the fish sandwich that I tried on my last visit. The sandwich was huge and delicious! I also had the Mac and cheese and broccoli with it! Amazing!! I highly recommend this place! It's a great place to just chill and have a good meal! Even if you wanted to chill by yourself, it's an amazing experience!
Update: So I tried the Tavern Burger with a grind turkey patty and it was delicious!! The staff sauce, mushrooms, and cheddar cheese were perfect and made it taste so good!
First visit. Decided to keep it simple. Bacon cheese burger cooked medium and suated onions with fries. The burger didn't co.e out medium but still delicious. It was a quarter inch in thickness.. Filled the entire bun. There were plenty of onions, and bacon. I can honestly say, I was pleasantly surprised.
I will be back, back and back again to try other menu items.
Great food and Drink. Dart's, Corn whole and music. Indoor and outdoor bar. I Recommend the Irish Wake, and Irish Nachos.
Went in to have lunch and kill time. The place was nicely appointed. Televisions for days. Decent size crowd for a Sunday afternoon. Everyone seemed happy. The friendly woman behind the bar sang happily under her breath, adding to the charm. I wanted to save my carb allotment for beer, and the kitchen was happy to make my brisket topped burger bunless. Garlic broccoli was an available side. The tuna bites appetizer was lip-smacking good. Tasted like some more, but the portion was generous. Service was prompt and courteous. The bathroom was lovely and immaculate. I could see myself going on purpose in the future.

My sister and I have gone several times lately for dinner. We always asked for Donald when we go!! Donald is the reason we always go back. We always have great food too.
My husband and I frequent Kelly's often!! We never leave hungry that's for sure! And Danni always takes care of us! Anytime we have company in town you can find us at Kelly's on Friday night. I wish the outside sitting was cleaned up a bit, but it doesn't keep us away. :)
My favorite Kelly’s Tavern in the VA. Their oldbay fries are soooooo addictive. Great places for gameday events and parties. The waiting staff are pleasant and manage large parties of 20 people with ease. Awesome burgers and great happy hour drink specials. No matter where you like in VA, this place is definitely worth the drive.
Our favorite spot where we get draft beer and good food. We usually sit on a bar. Many TV, fain atmosphere. Barmaids are quick.
It was amazing. Our server was fabulous and attentive. The happy hour specials was perfect and much appreciated.

The service was politely excellent. I ordered a med rare burger but received one well done. As soon as our server was made aware she offered to have another made. I declined because it was almost 3 and I skipped breakfast. Almost immediately the manager came and offered the same but I took a discount instead. The entire situation was handled well. I would go back.
We had a great time at Kelly's. We had family members visiting and took them there on a weekday and we had a nice quiet booth where we could catch up. The service was great and the food was good and hot. A very enjoyable evening!
Great place in the neighborhood to grab a quick beer. Love the happy hour.
