They have the BEST chicken egg foo young. I search all year for a comparable dish on the main land. Only to return to the Jade Place in Waimea HI for my FAVORITE chicken egg foo young. It is one of the first places we eat when we get here. Be sure to order extra gravy and extra serving of rice and it is then enough for 2.

Delicious local Chinese; a staple in the neighborhood. Awesome vegetarian dishes and meat ones too. Our favorite: the salt and pepper chicken or tofu. The soups are delicious as well. Great people, great food. Aloha!
Boss was such a great server and delivered our food so promptly. He was very attentive and ensured our waters were full and food was good. Definitely recommend for anyone in the area craving a delicious Chinese meal.
The food here is great, as is the service. There is a wide variety of options beyond the ubiquitous "lunch special" or "dinner special," so do yourself a favor and explore all the options. We've sampled many different dishes and have never been disappointed. Each is unique and we love the noodle soups as well. My only complaint is that the floors, overhead fans, doors (inside and out), etc., really need better cleaning, which is why I only gave if four stars. The tables and service ware are clean, but whoever is supposed to clean the facility itself is not doing a good job.
The food is DELICIOUS! Authentic Chinese food, not too sweet or too salty! Just what you want to eat on a cold night! They give a lot for what it's worth. The service there is good. The atmosphere is not too noisy as everyone kinda keeps to themselves but maybe it was so cold that we really zoned in on the good hot food and didn't mind the noise around us! The atmosphere is also very cozy.
We ordered the eggplant (11/10), lemon chicken (10/10), Mongolian beef (11/10) and the Mapo doufu (9/10)
We loved this restaurant! Great food, great service. We are vegan and they were so accommodating. The waitress even brought out a package for one of the menu item ingredients we had a question about to make sure it was vegan. She went above and beyond to give us that piece of mind. Our kids said it is their favorite restaurant in Waimea. Highly recommend!

Good portions. Food comes out fast and hot. Probably the best Chinese restaurant on the island. Ac was out when we came so restaurant was hot. A cooler environment would make this 5 star.
I don't know why that person gave a 1 star rating, but that's dumb. This place has been around for awhile and never disappoints as one of the few Chinese restaurants in Waimea. It's always good and has big portions. It can get a bit pricy but that's okay, you're ordering entrees for 3 or 4 to split, not individual meals, so it makes sense. This place is my go to for comfort food. My favorites to order are the walnut shrimp, char sui and salt and pepper chicken. Keep up the good work!

Surprise Waimea has excellent Chinese. Our lunch was incredible and served piping hot and fresh. Couldn’t even finish the was so much.
We were looking for a place to eat after riding ATVs. We saw Jade Palace, the best Chinese food I’ve had in a long time. Can’t wait to go back when I go to Hawaii next year.

A nice restaurant with extended Chinese menu than a typical one. We ordered a fish fillet and an asparagus beef, both were really good, fresh and tasty.
