Grandma's kitchen makes homemade/ fresh made food. They work very hard to serve. They are a small family owned business. Their food is delicious and authentic.
The service is wonderful. When there is a moment the owner will come out. He is congenial and makes one feel like a guest in their home.
The environment is clean and quaint. The main dining room holds about thirty. There is also a reservable room downstairs for parties or business meetings. The owner is very accommodating.
I highly recommend Grandma's Kitchen.

Delicious, authentic Mexican food, nothing like the dripping-with-cheese Tex-Mex you may be used to. This is the real stuff! Delicious homemade salsas and desserts as well. Loved the Jamaica iced tea! Even got to practice our very rudimentary Spanish, though our server spoke perfect English and couldn't have been more friendly or pleasant. We loved it!

I give this place a 4 only because the ambiance is a little odd and the portions are small. However, I have lived in Mexico before and had real, authentic food from the restaurants there, and I must say, the abuela here really hits the flavor profiles SPOT on. The food is good. Really good. I just wish my money went further and I was having more fun and more comfortable while I was enjoying it.

Best Mexican Food in Walla Walla. This place opened up a few months ago and I wandered in by accident, but I absolutely fell in love with Grandma's Kitchen the first time I came in! I had the pozole soup and a taco de nopales (cactus). They are the ONLY people in Walla Walla that make Mexican food like this, and the owner is incredibly hospitable. Everything is made fresh daily, and Grandma literally presses a fresh corn tortilla for you (made from scratch) when you place your order! After trying their Pozole soup and Nopales, I don't think I'll eat Mexican food anywhere else.
Authentic - Attention to Detail. Full disclosure. I know this family, as they started with a booth at the local farmer's market, at which I am also a vendor. Grandma is in her 70's. When asked by some of her other children to move to California and retire, she said "what would I do all day"? Her son Manny is her partner in the restaurant. They were both wonderful people and the atmosphere of the restaurant is warm and friendly. But it's really all about the food, right? And the food is wonderful. Authentic. Very flavorful. Made from scratch. This is not "Americanized" Mexican food with handfuls of bagged shredded cheese melted on top. This is the real deal. Everything I've ever eaten from this cooking duo has been wonderful. Highly recommended.
Finally found real authentic Mexican food!! The taste is immaculate. You can tell everything is made from scratch with fresh ingredients. And our server was very nice. Can’t wait to go back!
Do not dine here if you only want to grab some fast food - it’ll take some time since it’s family-owned and everything is made fresh. But - the patience is definitely worth waiting. The food was beyond amazing and the flavor remains in your mouth long after the meal.
The owner and his mother (the Grandma) takes care of the majority cooking and serving, both are extremely nice people. It’s also a veteran-owned business, with extremely reasonable price. Highly recommend it.
Everything is delicious. No one had something they didn't love. I had the nachos and the burrito and both were amazing. Would absolutely go back.
Was in Walla Walla and stopped by for dinner and went with the pork tacos.. absolutely delicious and the homemade tortillas were wonderful.. hade flan for dessert and it was homemade as well and it made the whole meal over the top and gets 5 stars

Wonderfully authentic space that was delightful and delicious . Cleaned my plate and ate garnishes too , and every piece on the plate was tasty .

Good food, good service, good prices. Nachos, guacamole, burrito, tacos, all excellent. Peach tea was great also. Large portions. Small place with one cook and server but he got our group of 4 handled reasonably fast. Each dish nicely prepared. One warning, most pictures on the web site are specials not available daily, like Chile relleno.
Went in for take out and got the chicken burrito and a horchata, both were delicious! The burrito is huge, 4 meals for me and the best I have had here in Walla Walla. The owner, super friendly. Fast service. Restaurant is enjoyable and clean. Will be going back.
