We had the best time on my papa's birthday and really enjoyed our server Sagi, sushi is by far the best within a 10 mile radius. Worth checking out if you love sake bombs and mochi!!!!
Had an order of the Vegetable Roll (~$7): cucumber & avocado wrapped in pounded rice. Food was delicious, staff was smooth, and the ambiance was sublime (with some wonderful prints on the walls!).
Best teriyaki chicken in town! Phenomenal sushi as well, and really reasonable prices. I love coming here because of the really nice staff, the great food, and the great service. You must go to this place!
All specialty rolls are $15+/- and quite a large serving size. Downside of the dining experience is (1) that it is kind of slow service because in restaurant dining orders are cued alongside with “To Go” food orders, (2) I sat next to the window and edge of the window has been cleaned in quite a while - eek.
I've never dined in as I discovered the restaurant during the pandemic, but dining out has always been a pleasant experience, the wait staff is always nice and makes sure that I Have everything I need before I leave and are always willing to explain which roll is which. My family is very picky when it comes to sushi and it has been hard to find a replacement for Happy Roll (R.I.P.) but Toyo sushi has been great. The sushi is great, there is something on the menu for everyone, but the Teriyaki chicken is a must try.
note: the rolls are huge, and use the doordash menu it has a lot more on it than the website
I have been coming here many times for a great sushi menu. We always ate sushi only. While they have the traditional sushi rolls, they also have many “crunchy” rolls with tempura crumbs, tempura shrimp or soft shel crab. They have “deep fried” rolls that are dipped in tempura batter and quickly dipped in hot oil. Very delicious! But today i decided to try other dishes from the menu, like the tempura plate, Chicken Karaage, soft shell blue crab and nigiri sushi.
The crab was crunchy and tasted fresh, not sure about the dipping sauce it came with. The tuna and salmon nigiri was good, fresh.
The tempura was also good, with the shrimp being the best. Some of the veggies were too big and too raw/hard in the center.
But the chicken karaage was the big disappointment. The look and color was not appealing at all, it almost looked liked it was just sprinkled with starch. It was not crispy, it was rubbery, and not tender enough.
So my recommendation is, stick to sushi at this place. It excellent for that. Service is also very good.
The food was amazing. Sushi was generous and tasty. Excellent service. This is my go to sushi place now.
One of my go-to sushi spots when I'm willing to take the drive down to WC. Been going here for over a year now and it's flavor is consistent and service is usually fast after ordering in person. You get your money's worth here and pretty tasty.
Definitely exquisite !!! So yummy we enjoyed the Santa Barbara roll , Happy Roll , Lion king roll of course! And last but not least the Dragon Roll with a delicious Hot Sake and a Beer .
What a great find!! The food was great and serving sizes more than plenty for one person. The prices are reasonable too.
Came here because the restaurant I wanted to go to was closed. I'm not disappointed. The meal was absolutely amaizing. The waitress was friendly and helpful. The meal was perfectly seasoned and cooked. And they allowed us to come in and eat even though they where closing in 20 min. Most places make you take it to go. They got a big tip.
