Le Gateau made us the most beautiful cake for our wedding! The process of trying out the flavors and designing the cake was really straight-forward and added a lot of fun to the wedding planning process. They were so flexible - working with the florist to create the perfect cake! The Kahlua chocolate flavor was a big hit!

The staff is always so kind and every item I’ve tried is delicious, especially the princess cake!! And they still have tons of stuff available right before closing too, so you can reliably pick something up any time of day. They’re the best!
Best cake ever! White frosting that was fluffy not full of sugar. Moist chocolate cake with layers of custard and raspberry. It was decadent! Love this bakery!
Beautiful cakes, space, kind customer service, clearly the desserts are made with care. The carrot cake was very good, not overly sweet, and the slice size was just right!
The Swedish princess cake was really good, it had great flavors. However I wasn't a fan of the amaretto strawberry cake (made to order). The sponge cake was dry and the flavor wasn't interesting.
I loved this bakery when they were in Martinez and I was glad to find them again. I was disappointed that they don't make their seasonal pumpkin danishes anymore, but was glad they still had a great assortment of their beautifully decorated cookies and other yummy pastries. Plus, of course, the usual "elegant cakes." At their previous location, I was able to have a coffee and enjoy my pastry and unfortunately that's not possible now, but I hope they can make it more of a destination spot in the future.
