Came here around noon on a Friday and was greeted with superb hospitality. The garlic knots were superb as an appetizer. The pizza we each got was hot and delicious. Additionally, there selection of beer and wine provided options for all. I was visiting in the area but would recommend this place for anyone looking to have a great pizza with a cool drink. Fantastic atmosphere as well.

Showed up for a late night dinner after getting in from a flight. They were a little slow on ordering and bringing the pizzas but it was worth the wait! The pesto pizza was divine. Would go back just for the pesto! Our pizzas were overcooked but the toppings were perfection.

It was pretty good!🍕 Hot fresh pizza and kind service! Beer flights! 🍺🤩 I felt like the sauce and crust wasn’t very authentic and flavorful… so it was average tasting and I would return if family or friend wanted too! They have more seats then expected and a bar… The restaurant def felt warm in there… I was in a summer dress almost sweating…so the kitchen oven made it less comfortable eating inside.

We were finally able to get a table at Pizzeria Paradiso after three previous attempts during trips to DC. This time the crowd was thin, although there were plenty of folks dining outside on the adjacent patio. The overall atmosphere of the pizzeria is inviting and we were seated quickly. The indoor dining is located in the lower level of an old mansion. The space was allegedly a florist shop and a bike shop/hardware store decades ago before being reconfigured for its current business. Needless to say, the space exudes character. The 9” pizzas and drinks - red wine & draft craft beer - we ordered were very good….a bit pricey for what you get, but very good. The pizza came out fairly quickly; was hot with a nice crispy crust thanks to a wood-fired oven within sight of our table. The selected extra toppings were fresh and flavorful. The server was very personable and courteous. The only downside was a required 20% service charge that was added to the bill (that’s essentially the server’s tip). An additional tip is also appreciated but not expected. More surprising (and somewhat suspicious) was that they taxed the service charge along with the food and drinks. The tax charged was 10%. Sorry; the service charge should NOT be taxed. We were glad we finally got to try Pizzeria Paradiso but most likely won’t be back. There are plenty of other places to dine in DC that don’t assess a mandatory service charge. Besides, tacking on a service charge of 20% doesn’t incentivize servers to provide outstanding service since they’ll get a tip, regardless. It also doesn’t incentivize diners to leave an additional tip when they’re being forced to pay a service fee and then be taxed for it. They would be better off raising prices and letting diners tip based on the service received.

Stopped in here for lunch after an afternoon of walking around. The location was not too busy for a walk-in without a wait. The service was friendly and attentive. From the dining room you get a view of the pizza oven. The draft list was extensive and had plenty of local and imported options. We ordered the macellaio pizza, which was delicious and perfectly crispy.

Wow! The quality and flavor of ingredients here is really good, definitely a step up above your average pizza place or Italian restaurant. Highly recommend for a yummy (but not too over the top) pizza.

Good local place for pizza. This is the specialty higher quality type of pizza place, as opposed to the greaselord type (which is also good, just different). Crust is light, airy, and crispy while the toppings and sauce are just enough and not glarpy. Ask about their multiple pizza specials. Beer selection is pretty good, with happy hour till 6 on most weekdays.

Great place for pizza and a beer flight! We enjoyed the selection of beer and thought our pizza was a good value! The waitstaff were friendly and helpful and the restaurant wasn’t too busy on a Sunday evening.

First of all this place has an incredible beer menu… so far so good. Then the pizza we ordered was so good too. Very friendly staff and a quaint homey feel makes this a good stop in DC for pizza. There is also outside seating but it was way too hot. Overall I’d say this makes my list of places to eat while in DC
