The food is worth every single penny here! This was such wonderful way to end the trip my husband and I took to celebrate or 1 year anniversary along with a baby moon. My husband got the pesto pasta and I got the scallopini chicken limone which came with a side of pasta with marinara sauce on it. Now my husband is a picky eater and he lovedddd his dish and I am stilllllll wishing I had ordered a second played of mine just to bring it back to the hotel lol. My food was absolutely incredible and the marinara sauce was sooooo good that it was probably the best I’ve had thus far!! For dessert I had the chocolate gelato and omggggg so amazing. Incredibly rich in flavor and not heavy feeling. My husband got his favorite, the cannoli and he lovedddd it too and long with a cappuccino. Not one things we both had was not AMAZING! This is an upscale restaurant and it’s nice to see how people come appropriately dressed upon arrival. Reminds me of when I was a kid and my grandparents used to take my family or to dinner and we always got dressed up and everyone else there was dressed well too. Definitely not a t-shirt and jeans kind of place. So lovely!! Not only that, the owner/chef came to shake our hands and great us. Most places don’t do that anymore and should take notes. It’s an incredibly nice thing to do as well as being proper and polite. I wish this restaurant was near me at home in NY. Can’t wait to visit DC again and to come back here for their wonderful food and ambiance! Great food, great service, great everything!!! Thank you again for a wonderful experience!
This has consistently been the best food of my life every time we have eaten there! The chef is amazing! He ages all his own meat. He will make you anything that he has the fresh ingredients for. Every course was phenomenal! The beef, pork, pasta and dessert were all beyond compare! I tried a bite (or two) of all of the meals our party of 5 ordered!
I loved meeting the owner/chef Vittorio and the food was great!!
Our server was Sergiu from Moldova and had excellent service!!
The absolute best Italian I've ever had. A must visit. I've eaten there 2 times and the owner came out both times and greater all the guests in the restaurant. Chic parm is to die for. Home made sauce is out of this world!
My siblings and I went here to celebrate my sister's birthday when we were on vacation. Everything from the wine to the dessert was fantastic. The service was wonderful and the chef even came out and greeted our table. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough.

Great food, great place, excellent, friendly and knowledgeable staff. The chef/owner came by to say hello, he's funny.
Haven't eaten here multiple times now. One of my favorite no frills, not overpriced, not overly fancy, just good Italian food that tastes like an Italian momma is cooking it herself. The owner comes out and greets the guests every time. Just a nice place to have a great Italian dinner. Love it!
Our first visit to La Perla was nothing less than perfect! We had our first anniversary dinner here and everything from the food, the service, and atmesphere was fantastic! The house special is delicious and we were even treated to an anniversary treat and got to meet Chef Testa! We will definitely be back! Thanks for the great experience
Amazing food, drinks and service!! I would highly recommend to friends and family!!
Excellent food in an elegant setting I had a delicious veal chop with a very good Barolo wine sauce accompanied with a well executed pasta carbonara
Linguine Vittorio is all i gotta say. The maestro's own personal signature dish that will have you wanting to lick your plate clean.
One of the best Italian restaurants I have been too! Food was authentic!
First class. Brilliant Chef. Fabulous service. Great location. Just a wonderful gem of a restaurant in DC.
Both of us ordered a chefs special creation and so happy we did. It was absolutely delicious! The tender fettuccine was laced with chunks of crabmeat, lobster, shrimp and scallops and tossed with the amazing champagne sauce. My husband and I went there to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. The portions were perfect, we felt satisfied but not stuffed and even had room for dessert! We ended with a marvelous cappuccino. The atmosphere was lovely, private and quiet. We will definitely return and explore other dishes on the menu.
Love this authentic Italian restaurant. The food was delicious and the atmosphere is perfect for a cozy dinner for a large party. We were a large party and our food was served on time and everyone loved their meal. The wine selection is perfect too. We were also able to hear each other which in this day and age is a rare treat in the DC dining scene. Chef made a point of checking in on us and made us feel like we were his personal guests. Best of all he offered us some of his delicious and home made limoncello, YUM. Thank you La Perla for a magical family dinner. We were so lucky to share this occasion with you.
I asked La Perla to host a last minute surprise birthday party for my wife - 16 people. The staff jumped into action. The owner arranged buffet style appetizers with four bottles of wine for the table. We ordered entrees haphazardly - all arriving timely. Absolute pros! Chanel said it was the best birthday she ever had. Very grateful.
Amazing food and amazing service, year after year. This place has been open for 23 years and we have been going for our wedding anniversary every years for the past 12 years (a tradition). Each time - the chef comes to the table to say hi and welcome you. The staff is very knowledgeable and do a great job recommending wines to pair with the food. A big fan!
Very warm. Abundant meals, varied menus. Many of the meat and fish menus are accompanied with pasta. The owner introduced himself to us and was very friendly.
Really exceptional food. A lovely dinner, between us we had Pappardelle del Presidente and the Ravioli Della Madre both of which both of which were delicious with sauces of real depth and everything cooked to perfection. We were two of the last diners that evening and the owner and chef appeared from the kitchen the introduce himself. Vittorio is a delightful and interesting man who happens to be an excellent chef. If you are in Georgetown I would strongly recommend La Perla.
They have a nice selection of hot and cold anti pasta. It all looked so good it was hard to make a choice. I chose the salmon and was not disappointed. The rigatoni with homemade sausage , shrimp and scallops was incredible! I had to use the fresh bread to get every bit of sauce from my plate. The staff were very attentive with out hovering around. They made good food and wine selections. The Chef came to the table and really cared about our experience. Very memorable meal!
Amazing Italian food! The service was excellent! The chef came out and had pleasant conversation with use and he and my wife talked about how to make his amazing Alfredo sauce.
Delicious food…I had a fabulous seafood lasagna, and my husband had grilled bronzino. The owner and chef, Victor, checks on every table, introducing himself and learning about his guests. Wonderful to have this gem in the neighborhood.

I went a while ago with my wife, on a late night escapade! We truly enjoyed it! The food was very good and the wine too! Turned out rich people eat there, the bill was high but the quality matched the price. I would recommend to any Italian food lover! The chef is the best
Food was delicious. I started with these two jumbo shrimp encrusted with coconut, on a bed of oranges in a really tasty orange sauce. It's one of the chef's creations and was unique and delightful.
The penne alla vodka and my risotto were absolutely decadent. One richer and tastier than the next.
We had a really tasty dry red wine. The angel hair pesto was creamier than I'm used to and threw me off a bit. It was rich while I was expecting a light, refreshing pesto with olive oil. The bronzini pizzaiola was delicious with the sauce but a bit bland on its own.
The chef came out and talked to all the tables. He was such a wonderfully cute Italian man.
Delicious italian food , enjoyed the
atmosphere,
The drinks and food were awesome
As well as service in adiamo was
fantastic was five star.
The hostess was good and freindly
Also the server was mind blowing.
I got the minestrone for my appetizer- very flavorful and filling. I also got the chicken parmigiana which was bigger than what I’m used to. It comes with a side of spaghetti. I’m not sure what the dessert was called but it was a chocolate shell filled with gelato and it was absolutely divine. Their selection of wines were nice as well. The chef came out from time to time to ensure guests were enjoying their food and I loved that. We were seated as soon as we got In and they had a full house. Our server was so kind and courteous. Wait time was not bad for food that came out fresh and hot. Would definitely go back.
