We met an old friend for lunch here. We were able to find street parking not too far away, and since it was Sunday, we were able to park for free. The wharf was nice, so many different restaurants, and fun people watching. We sat in an extended outdoor area that was covered, but you could hear people's conversations as they walked the wharf, and you could also smell whatever anyone was smoking. Our server was a nice young man who took very good care of us. The guacamole was very good, fresh with a little kick. I had the enchiladas with mole' sauce. It was one of the best moles I've ever had. Everyone enjoyed their meal. I also had a mezcal margarita. For once, my glass was not coated with salt. It was just enough salt to compliment the cocktail. Really liked this place
I went here for a date night. The service was exquisite. Outdoor seating was comfy and heated. The menu has a plethora of options. The food was mediocre, but aesthetic. It is pretty pricey, but if you are looking to undergo a unique experience with Mexican cuisine, I suggest you go. The waterview is beautiful, especially at night.
Mi Vida restaurant was great!!! The food was authentic Mexican food and it was delicious. Our waiter was awesome at explaining the menu and gave us great recommendations. The price was fair, it is located in the D.C. Wharf and it has beautiful views and a great atmosphere. Highly recommend them, great for family’s, couple date night or a cocktail at the bar.
The margaritas were perfect, the food was bright and tasty! Our server, Fausto, was helpful and knowledgeable. Patient, attentive - he answered our questions thoroughly and thoughtfully, suggesting items on the menu that we might enjoy. He made sure our visit was remembered for all the right reasons! We opted for outdoor seating, with a beautiful view of the river. It started to rain hard and we were getting wet despite the big, beautiful orange umbrellas, but we were quickly and expertly ushered inside to finish our meals. Service was super friendly and quick! A truly fun experience!
They get 5 star for exceptional service. My friend placed an order for pickup. They missed the topping and sauce for her order, so she called to let them know. They're made a whole new hot order for her. It's going over and beyond that is what customer service use to be about.
An upscale Mexican restaurant with plenty of food and drink choices. Service is solid and quick with a pleasant attention to detail. The location, right in The Wharf, along with the upscale setting inside the restaurant, make for a fine dining experience. There's a large patio by the front door, great for people watching.
This place rocks! We visited for my partner’s birthday & were not disappointed! To begin, the restaurant is stunning. Indoor & outdoor-patio views of the water, multiple & multi-level full-service bars, magnificently sculpted trees & faux agave plants, & architectural features adorn the space. If Rainforest Cafe went to college, got a doctorate, & wore a tuxedo, it would aspire to be Mi Vida. Absolutely delicious. Plenty of vegetarian & pescatarian options! Delicious cocktails, & a great selection of beer & wine. The service was attentive but not overbearing. LGBTQ+-owned! Will be returning! Sadly, the washrooms I found downstairs are gendered, although I have been informed that there are gender-neutral washrooms on premises.
This was our first time dining at Mi Vida. The service was great. Food, dessert and presentation were great! Definitely is a place to have lunch or dinner, when you are in DC down by the Wharf.
The food was really good. The atmosphere was nice as well. We actually had three course meal here that I really enjoyed, it took the guess work out of what to order.
