I had a pretty good 1st visit. We had a large party (over15) and it didn't take long to get seated though we were seated separately but it was okay. Food was picture perfect. Bathroom was clean. Pricing was appropriate 60 bucks for two people including one alcohol beverage. Only compliant was siting outside I got ate up ,should have brought spray.

A very pleasant, casual place for a relaxing breakfast. The food is nicely prepared & tasty. It is not gourmet quality but if you're looking for a good breakfast, everything is fresh & enjoyable. Service was friendly & attentive. The decor is a bit dated & past its prime, but not unattractive.

The food is always delicious. The chicken and waffles are the best in my opinion. My husband orders different items and loves the food. We've driven to this restaurant twice from Northern Virginia. Well worth the drive!

Open city’s outdoor seating set the scene for a delicious lunch with three colleagues. The service was fast and limited to one payment which meant we had to sort the bill after. All of our food tasted great 😊 The large trucks passing by kind of detracted from a relaxing time though it was still nice to be outside!

Wonderful place for a brunch or a breakfast. They also also have very nice dinner and lunch menu. The pancakes were awesome, the biscuits and gravy is a must try item and the burrito was amazing. The service was quite good.

Great food that came out very fast! The server definitely clocked in on the vibes of the table and checked in only when necessary.

I came here maybe 12 years ago on a trip, and now back again in this beautiful and inspiring place, I knew I had to return to Open City. Great casual-type place. Sat outside on a perfect evening. Enjoyed the Cobb but was tempted to get a pizza or maybe breakfast food. Excellent service. Thanks, Open City!

Open city was a cut above average. Getting seated took a little longer than expected because dine-in and take-out orders all entered through the same line. The restaurant layout makes it a bit of a challenge to do this another way, though. The best part of our meal were the lattes. I ordered the heuvos rancheros, which were OK, but I wouldn't order them again. The beef didn't have a lot of flavor, and they opted for crunchy tortillas instead of soft (not my preferred preparation). Service was a little slow at first, but picked up once we actually put our order in.

This DC restaurant has a stronghold on breakfast. The line was wrapped, but we were seated relatively quickly (20 minutes or so). I had eggs, french toast, bacon, hash browns, and coffee. It was good. Our server was great. I'd go back.

Great place to bring your whole family, service is fast and good. Plenty of room in and outside. I believe I had one of the best chicken sandwiches I’ve ever had. This place really delivers. You def need to try it.

What a delightful lunch/meal! The chicken burger was large, juicy and filling. The next table over even asked what it was before I took a bite. They said it looked so good. I had a house salad with the 24th St Chicken and it complemented well with the sandwich. The small Caesar for my wife was excellent. It was an authentic and light dressing. It was NOT over seasoned like some Caesars. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Such great service from Mark 2 mornings in a row! The first day I got the steel cut oatmeal and the second day I got the stuffed French toast with a cappuccino. So delicious! My friend got the open city royale, which she loved. Meals are $10-15 on average.

The food is pretty good, but the service could have been more responsive. I like that the hot tea is served in the strainer and not a tea bag. Salmon was good. Omelette was good.

We were in town and used Open City as our breakfast stop. We went twice and shared the Omelet and then the Breakfast Burrito. Portions were large enough to share with two people. Food was good, tasty too. Burrito is spicy. The strawberry butter was really good on toast. Service was good. Staff is very friendly.

We are in town for a conference across the street. We’ve eaten twice at this place. Delicious food. Great customer service. They didn’t know our conference was in town and the restaurant was full. The staff did a great job keeping up with everyone and our food came out fast!

This place is a little far from me, but I absolutely love the ambiance and food. I’ve been here twice now, and I look forward to going back to try other dishes.
