Nice atmosphere inside. I came here for the dumplings and they didn't disappoint. I've been to restaurants where I swear they are serving factory made dumplings we can all get in the frozen food section. Not this place. The wrappers are a little thicker and rusticly finished. I do think the soup dumplings were my favorite but the house special and pork and shrimp dumplings were both delicious. And don't be shy about using a fork. I'm pretty good with chopsticks but something happens with plastic chopsticks and dumpling wrappers once dipped in chili oil. It is virtually impossible to hold onto them. A very kind waiter saw me struggling and offered a fork and I regret being too stubborn to take him up on the offer.

The service was excellent!! I ordered to go, they said 15 to 20 minutes but it was ready in like 8 minutes. The lady at the register was very warm and welcoming and made me feel very comfortable. The food was excellent!! I ordered the steamed pork dumplings, the combination lo mein, and the general two's chicken, and shrimp spring rolls. Everything was hot and fresh. Being as though I was being driven home on an hour long right I dove right into my food. When I got home my son, who is very picky, finished off the rest!!

Classic Chinese neighborhood restaurant with great service and great food. We came here for my birthday and had a great low maintenance evening. No reservation needed! Everything was great!

Ordered a few items for takeout. Got the scallion pancakes, lo Mein lunch special, general tso lunch special, and beef chow mein. There was not a beef chow mein lunch special but still the same portion though the price is much more than the lo mein lunch special. The noodles in the beef chow fun were also stuck together so a lot of noodles did not have sauce. Overall the food was decent for the prices. Will try the dumplings next time.

I was unfortunately let down by the shrimp dumplings; even with the sauce they just weren’t very flavorful. The scallion pancakes, however, were the best I’ve ever had! We also tried a chicken bamboo dish that was really good. They had everything ready to go for takeout very quickly and the food was still piping hot by the time we got home. Great little place to stop—I have heard their other dumplings are really good, so I’ll have to try those next time.

Love the dumplings. Delivery or carry out has been on point over the years. A top choice for dumplings and more.

Dumplings and Beyond is a fantastic place to get really good dumplings. I had the Xiao Long Bao as well as their House Special dumplings which were both very delicious and paired well with their dumpling sauce. They also have regular soy sauce and chili oil if that tickles your fancy. I also tried one of their chef's specials, the Crispy Beef which came with a small bowl of rice. The beef was indeed crispy and was tasty. I definitely recommend a stop here if you're in the mood for some good Chinese food.

We went for lunch. The service was great, very friendly and funny and prompt. The fish dumplings, scallion pancakes, and spicy tofu were amazing. Clean, not crowded, decent prices, highly recommend.

We were in Washington for the last couple days and were craving Chinese food. This place came up in our Google search. The service was great! The food came quickly and tasted amazing. We ordered juice for our 2yo and the server already placed her drink in a cup with a lid without any prompting. We did street parking and was in and out before the 2 hour limit was up. Definitely recommend this place.

Excellent value and dumplings. Went to this place during lunch hour on a Sunday had no trouble getting a table. Really undiscovered place in DC and would highly recommend it for authentic Sichuan food. Dumplings are made in house and they are some of the best. Ordered two dumpling dishes and one Sichuan dish and spent about $30.

Fast service. The Xiao Long bao have less soup inside than others but are still good. Great tea selection including chrysanthemum. The pan fried house dumplings are excellent. The breading on the salt and pepper shrimp was a bit heavy.

The food is amazing. My favorites are the house pork & shrimp dumplings, rice cakes, shrimp spring rolls, and cucumber salad. There’s always room to dine in and it’s a great spot for larger parties.

This place has by far the best dumplings I have had in DC. I had the veggie dumplings which tasted incredibly fresh as well as scallion pancakes and cucumber salad. Everything was amazing and the takeout was prompt, took less than 30 minutes.
