I had the butter chicken and it was creamy and delicious! The portions are perfect. This restaurant was highly recommended and I just finally got a chance to try and I need to come back to try the rest of the menu. The restaurant is an order at the counter and seat yourself, there was plenty of room for seating during the lunch hour and it makes for a quick turn around for a work lunch hour. The food came quickly and they are well stocked at the counter so you can take your leftovers with you.
NYC style hip Indian Cusine. Loved the food here very traditional food served in a non-traditional (not the typical Indian restaurant). You self-order from your cell phone after scanning a QR code from the app on your table. QR code connects the server to bring dishes to your table. So inform the server if changing tables.
One side of the Patio is way colder as open so difficult on a cold evening. We moved to the bar area tables as it was more covered and warmer. Early on it was packed. The bar service is quick and is not through the app but you have to go to the bar to order and pickup your drinks and also pay right there. No tabs are kept open you have to pay for your drinks every time you go get a drink which was unusual.
They serve food in to go like containers (no plates) they have tops of the containers incase you have extra left to take home.
Curry’s to try: Goat curry (best), butter chicken (sweeter creamier sauce tender chicken ), spicy chicken curry (please donot try unless you can handle extreme spice!) Veg platter - comes with your choice of two vegetables dry or Curry: All food items are just like home cooked and fantastic. Food is served with fragrant Basmati rice and chickpeas curry combined in one bowl which was very good. Topped with spinach fresh cut as topping. I wish they had onions tomatoes or a side salad for sides. Overall everything was very good!!
Restaurant was packed on a Saturday night evening. Lots of takeout and people waiting. Good size servings might be good for 2 people if you eat medium quantities. You have to order Roti or parantha on side. desserts are out of the package box (RasMalia) but needed it after the spicy chicken curry!
Great place. Food was very delicious. We only ordered vegan/vegetarian. You can order everything in different sizes. So basically it's possible to have something like indian tapas.
Great for dates or lager groups.
Ordering via QR Code, Online, direct payment is very convenient but overall the online experience could be a bit more accomodating.
Bar is separate in the front wheelre you eat. Online order aswell.
No real service, but they bring the food to the table. Can take a while.
The place itself is ok. It is Spacious but the tables and seatings could be bigger and more comfortable.
Places looks pretty, i love the lights, but please get rid of those random decoration plates.
Chill environment only has a patio. We went on a cold and rainy day and it was pretty chilly in the patio. So I do not recommend to go on chilly days. The food here is really good. I have been craving Indian curry for a while and it satisfied my needs. We ordered chicken saag and lamb curry. Chicken saag was a bit spicy but manageable. Lamb curry was also very tasty. With all the veggies, it was flavorful. Portion size is really big here. We left with our stomach full.
Great place and ambience to have Indian food. Primarily outdoor sitting with roof on top.
Kind of a self serve place but the service is quick and the food is also well prepared. Do try their pav bhaji / one of the better ones I had in Washington DC area
The food is incredibly good. Fantastic balance of spices and Punjab goodness! We usually order take away but decided to sit in the restaurant this time, as it wasn't busy. Enjoyable atmosphere if you like dining in a tent. The utensils are plastic. Some people are just too loud though, so noise is an issue.
First time visiting Indigo and I must say it did not disappoint! The menu has plenty of options to choose from and they’re very accommodating. The service was on point, timely, and the food came out hot!
Ordered take out and wasn’t disappointed. The chickpeas were cooked to perfect and so was the rice. Wish they also served chapati but we enjoyed the meal
Just what we wanted Real Indian Cuisine , not food CUISINE and the more you eat the more the heat , recommend some white yogurt and check out these other dishes all amazing thanks for the fast turn over so we could enjoy curbside
As a fan of Indian foods, I liked the vegetarian paradise platter that I had here. I enjoyed the chickpeas on the bed of rice with raw spinach on it. The bhindi was so tasty! I would have given 5 stars if the baingan bharta had more eggplants as I tasted more tomatoes in it, and if the portion of bhindi and baingan bharta could have been added more — that would make it more worthwhile for a $18 meal.
I been wanting to come here for months lol so had to go all out and try a few things. The paneer was my fav, great texture and flavor. The tika masala was also good, although the chicken was a lil’ dry. The samosas were ok, a bit plain tbh. Not pictured was the mango lasi, which had v good mango flavor. Had a ton of leftovers lol $40.
Great food and casual eating experience. I really enjoyed the outdoor shared seating. Nice and warm in the winter. Bar has a good selection of beers. The spicy masala chicken was great and the perfect amount of spice.
Great Indian food… DC prices for sure though. Really loved the decor of the place!
Food is very good. Atmosphere is great, especially in the cooler months (they have plenty of heaters and wind screens). Get the samosas - the sauce it comes with is unreal.
Quite a cozy Indian restaurant.
We tried Paneer Pakora comes with tamarind chutney.
Pav bhaji and chicken meal.
Was tasty,good spice level.
Excellent Indian food and excellent drinks. What more could I say?
Always a party atmosphere on a Friday night! Open air dining and bar. We ordered takeout, but were tempted to grab a drink while waiting. Opted not to since we were on bikes. Great cocktails, yummy Indian food. There's usual a line for takeout and this was no exception, but the food was ready at the promised time. We took it home and enjoyed our meals of butter chicken and lamb curry. The butter chicken was tender, mild and sweet. The lamb was tender and flavorful. The chick peas were spicy, and we're infact the only real heat in either meal.
