This was a first visit for me and I loved it. I had the spicy ginger noodle soup 🍜. And it was delicious it was full of flavor and not overly driven by spice of the peppers. I will definitely be going back to try some of the other noodles offerings. If you are looking for a noodle shop this is it give it a try there has be something on the menu that you will fall in love with.
Loved it! Very friendly staff, food came out fast and was full of flavor! The shitake and cheese wontons were a very pleasant surprise and the spicy ginger broth with the wide noodles was just perfect.
Ordered crispy shrimp bun and drunken noodles with wide noodles. Food was good, server was attentive. There is a parking garage across the street, otherwise parking can be tricky on U street.
Really enjoyed our dinner here. The menu features a range of noodle-based entrees, from wok stir-fried to more broth-based options. The Green Curry with spinach noodles was delicious. Very generous portions as well.
Fantastic spot with great service. Authentic, delicious and healthily portioned. The people working here were attentive, friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend supporting this business. We had the Kao Soi and a noodle dish (spicy ginger with pork and wide noodles) and both were amazing.
We tried the chicken noodles and the Burmese curry chicken noodles! First one was a hit, but we didn't like the second one that much! The service and ambience were great! We also liked how there was no wait list and we were seated properly even on a Friday night! Will be back!
Food was surprisingly good and the price was very reasonable. Would definitely recommend coming here during HH.
Stopped in here on a Sunday. Everything on U st was crowded for brunch and luckily this spot was open with no wait. Happy hour menu is very affordable.
This was the first restaurant the DMV Noodle has reviewed. We had our first meeting at the restaurant two weeks ago and we have rated DC Noodles on a scale of 1 to 5; 5 being the best! Overall, DC Noodles receives a 4.5 stars from us!
The restaurant is easily accessible by Metro, or car for people who are visiting the area. Upon walking into the restaurant, our first impressions were that it was clean, hip, and kind of small, well designed, high ceiling
Walking in. We thought the lighting inside meshed well with the natural lighting outside. Loved how creative and unique their interior design is near the table where we sat. Interesting art on the walls, comfortable seating, everything on the menu sounded like something I'd want to try!
We all ordered something different: Chicken noodle soup with spicy broth and wide rice noodle, Thai basil pesto, thin rice noodle soup with spicy ginger broth, pork and shrimp, AND Burmese Kao Soi (egg noodles). The spicy broth is definitely SPICY! Overall, the other dishes weren't spice and only received a 2 on the spice level. The presentation, broth/sauces, and noodle textures all received over 4 stars for the group! We were all impressed by our dishes and the service.
The restaurant was small, but the waiters were on top of things. We would would recommend making a reservation if you plan on going there during dinner. If you get the chance, have the pork buns! They were tasty: simple, clean, and delicious cut of pork belly. Thai Basil Pesto was fantastic. All of our members thought the Thai basil pesto noodles were amazing! Liked the small menu size, the decor, and the robust selection of noodles to choose from. DC Noodles on U Street was easy to find, lovely interior, and the individuals serving us communicated the menu very well, and were absolutely understanding when it came to asking questions or asking for a little more time. They never left us for too long, or came too soon. Always attentive and friendly. It was comfortable, the indoor temperature was comfortable, the service was tranquil and consistent, and the food was really well made and presentable. The coat hangers were a plus too! A good place to go if people in your group are in the mood to try different styles of noodles/dishes. The curry noodles were good, but our member said that the serving size was very large, but taking it home was no problem! Restaurant advertised a long happy hour (which we did not try out) for various food and drink. We would definitely come back!
The service is a little slow by the food was delicious. I had the pad Thai and my friend had the pad see ew and both very delicious. Another friend had the noodles and was disappointed at the choices of broths. I would definitely go back. It’s kinda of hidden on the corner of 14 and U street and it’s pretty cute inside.
Hidden in plain sight, this spacious noodle place and bar is amazing. They have great collection of happy hour food and drinks. The main courses are very flavorful, ranging from mild to spicy. Ingredients are very fresh. The decor, in particular the light fixtures are very unique. The staff members are very polite and helpful.
My go to neighborhood spot for a reliably good meal. I haven’t had anything bad on this menu and I’ve eaten everything. They’ve been in the neighborhood for a long time and I’m glad to support this small local business. Really nice space, too!
We had a lovely little dinner date here. We were walking around U st surveying menus and this one caught our eye. There’s interesting sculpture and decor to observe while you dine. The cocktails are well crafted, it’s the only time I’ve had a lychee cocktail that wasn’t syrupy and sickly sweet-it was delicious.
There are also quite a few vegan options so every vegan doesn’t have to have the same dish which is great. We enjoyed the vegan soup with flat noodles, the rice wraps, and the pumpkin tart.
We’ve been to this place twice now and it’s been excellent both times. We stopped by today to grab our food (which was very quick) and saw that they have a cute little store attached to the restaurant! They have a bunch of high-end food products, some cookbooks, and some dishware—the prices in the store are a bit high, but everything looks really unique and high-quality, so we’ll definitely go back to buy something. Looks like it would be good for gifts, too.
This was excellent! Stumbled into a place on a Sunday afternoon and it was not busy at all. The food was delicious and the drinks were tasty. Would highly recommend and return!
Amazing. My husband and I are Thai food foodies and this place meets our standards. Clean, fresh, quick. I definitely recommend. My husband had the noodle soup and he says it was wonderful. I had the tofu Pad Thai and It was so great. Large portions.
Even during Covid I felt safe ordering here and been doing a lot of takes outs. Adding a photo.
This is my favorite place in DC! From pad Thai, drunken noodle to hot soups. You know it's the place to go if you find yourself going 3-4 times a month. Such friendly service and clean fun atmosphere. Though as a big group at evening events it can be loud as it gets crowded. :)
I've only been once, but I really enjoyed DC Noodles. My tofu red curry noodles were delicious (no fish sauce) and beautifully presented. The ambience within is cozy and romantic. Seating is either at the bar or in a large table format this suitable for groups or pairing up with strangers. Recommended.
Great food, good prices. Everything was very flavorful
