Went to Rania to celebrate my birthday and we were blown away by the gastronomical delight it turned out to be. Service was truly exceptional and we thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience. Definitely going back again and again! The menu selection stands out amongst other Indian fares in the DMV region. Only taking one star out of the ambience because it was quite noisy and we would have preferred to have a quieter dinner date.

Rania had a great vibe, excellent service, and fun/inventive tasting menu. I added a couple courses because I was worried about having enough food for everyone but the additional courses turned out to be unnecessary and we were super full. I would recommend trying Rania if you enjoy Indian food!

This is my favorite restaurant in DC! I have been eating here since they opened and the flavors keep me coming back. These dishes (and cocktails!) are wonderfully delicious and artistic. The restaurant clearly puts a lot of thought and creativity into each dish and drink, and their menu is constantly evolving. Service is fantastic as well, always super helpful and attentive. This place is worth the money (though I will miss their a la carte options now that they've earned a well-deserved Michelin star). The 3-course meal is very filling. Congratulations on your new star!!

Was attending a milestone party. Not sure if I tasted the food properly so I won’t comment on it but the vibe and service were amazing. Very courteous wait staff and servers. Amazing place for a small group to host their parties with elevated foods. Cocktail’s were not elevated as per expectations but the wine list and sommelier were incredible

Way beyond outstanding!!! Sat at the gorgeous bar for cocktails and desserts. The bartenders and staff were so much fun; keeping us entertained from chatting to the presentation of the cocktails.we ordered these cocktails; rang birange, crimson kiss, and golden mantra. They were all very delicious. For desserts, we had the shrikahnd mousse and kesari mango both so flavorful and delectable.

I’ve been here twice in less than a month. Everything was excellent the food, service, and atmosphere! All the individuals that work there really strive and aim for the highest level of service to provide their patrons. Must try dishes are the: - GOBHI MANCHURIAN TOMATO - CHANA MASALA PANISSE - BEEF SHORT RIB - KEASARI MANGO The drinks were as expected delicious and as seen on social media and the reviews, delightful!

Cant believe i never wrote a review for Rania but better late than never. Me and the bestie decided to check out Rania (previously Punjabi Grill) and we were not disappointed. The ambiance is upscale, jaipuresque chic and will delight the former admirers of punjab grill. We started our dinner with some apps. I opted for shrimp koliwada and my friend opted for the chicken kofta. The chicken kofta was hands down the winner of the two and the combination of creamy truffley chicken kofta with mushrooms was genius. Next i got the beef short ribs (a modern take on nihari) with malabar paratha (fried bread) and my friend opted for the tandoori paneer and a side of black dal which was simple but delightful side. The beef short ribs were rich and cooked to perfection, with tender meat falling off and being dipped in the Nihari sauce to make the perfect bite. We ended the meal with a chocolatey banana-y dessert which was good but not as memorable as the main coarse. Cant wait to come back to Rania and try more dishes or repeat the winners.

Wow, what a wonderful surprise. Unfortunately rania doesn’t have a that many reviews on Google and I tend to go to places with high rating with a high number of review (500+). But one of the dc bloggers- Nancy @basicbalance, on insta- recommend them so we took a shot. The first thing you notice when you walk in are the aesthetics, beautiful. We got seated at the high tops next to a beautiful wall that made our night feel very high end. Next- our server, Juliann, was amazing!! Very knowledgeable, patient, and attentive (not overly where they make you feel awkward lol). Food.. oh boy the food.. what a journey. We are vegetarian so had gobi Manchurian, chole masala (in patty form- never had it but man oh man was it good!), and paneer tikka with side of dal. Everything was AMAZING. We had a really good time overall. Give them a shot if you are unsure, are you in for a great ride

Rania is not your traditional Indian restaurant. It’s an upscale Indian restaurant delivering, presenting food across india in a unique way. We tried restaurant week lunch here. Definitely a good way to explore the menu. We are vegetarian and there were good options to choose from. Our personal favorites were the barley salad, summer squash mangalorian curry (very unique way of presenting some traditional flavors - must try) we also loved the kasar mango dessert. We ended ordering a cappuccino as well which hit the spot. Overall, flavors & presentation 9/10. I took the 1 point away coz I felt they could have done more justice to the aloo chaat. It was a little too mushy, could have been better with a little bit more texture. Ambiance is 10/10, service: my husband felt could be little less intimidating for lack of a better word. Overall, we enjoyed our experience and would definitely come back.
