This place is just fabulous. I was kindly greeted by a cashier named, John and ordered a tasty turkey sandwich. The food was fresh and so delicious. Cheers from CA.

I was on my way to a function at the Kennedy Center and wanted to grab a bite to eat prior to the show. This was my first visit to Campono and I was not disappointed. The Mediterranean pizza and cobb salad was outstanding! The atmosphere was nice, as was the service. I will definitely be back.

This is the best pizza I've had in all DC! A little pricey but worth the splurge even for carry out. Left me wanting more for sure. Customer service was great too. I'll be back Campono!

Fast service. Great food. I miss Kincaid's, but Bob's magic is here.

Pricey but well worth the experience. You pay for your meal. You get your own ice water, plates, silverware, napkins. Servers bring you your meal. The pizza came very quickly. It was great.

Stopped here shortly before go to the Kennedy Center to see a show. This place is nice and clean. It has a little ice cream bar too. It's pricy but given its location, only 1 minute walking distance from KC, it's understandable. The only thing I don't like is their staffs. They don't have bad attitude but they are very cool. They don't greet or talk to their customers.

Delicious Margherita pizza and the mushroom melt was fantastic. We also had iced coffee and gelato, both excellent. The cauliflower and goat cheese soup was good, but not special compared to the rest.

Excellent atmosphere. The food was great. Could have use a little more seasoning on the egg avocado. But delicious with great presentation. Delivery to table was fast.

Excellent pizza. I make a killer pizza myself. This place beats mine! See my captions with photo. Also this place is marked as one $, incorrect. This place is expensive and $20 for 6 slices

I stopped in before seeing a show at The Kennedy Center and received FAST, GREAT service considering how busy they were. The food was OUTSTANDING as well, I will definitely be returning here in the future.

Good lunch stop before a show at the Kennedy Center. I ordered a pizza, and be advised that their dough is very soft, not crispy. Tomato sauce is a bit watery, and didn't help how floppy the pizza itself was, so I ended up eating mine with a fork and knife. They are very generous with toppings though, and it was a good experience in all.

I visited with my sisters. The turkey dip sandwich was incredibly tasty as was the pizza we ordered. Sharing let's you taste more things! The wine selection is limited but decent. You order at a counter and they give you a number. Food is brought out to your table or counter space. This place is very busy before shows at the nearby theaters. But food is prepared quickly and people were not lingering after their meals.

The pizza and gelato were good. Service was quick, even when it was fairly busy. You order at a counter to the left and they bring you your food, which is nice because it is faster than having a waiter. We took a seat right next to the large kitchen and we could watch the many people back there doing their thing. It is a little pricey for what you get, which is almost certainly due to its convenient location near the Kennedy Center.

We ordered the Willow Pizza and a small Italian salad, staff was very friendly and when they noticed our food was running late they took care of it. Excellent wood fired pizza. Washed it down with a local IPA not a bad spot to drop in for a bite. Subs look excellent but didn't try.

Great pizza made to order. Pricey though, but that comes with the area.

The best part was the proximity to the Kennedy Center and the speedy service. Food was fine. Order at the counter and food is brought to your table. The kids enjoyed the gelato, having a backwards lunch. Drinks were a bit expensive. But man, were we in and out quickly to make our show! Bathrooms are unisex.

The food and gelato were great. My wife and I really liked it, overall. The food was a little on the pricier side, but definitely not any more than expected for the area. The pizza was a little undercooked in the middle and and burn on half of it. There part that wasn't burn treated great though. Also, the staff was very friendly!

Stopped by with my wife and kids after a play. The pizza was amazing...easily the best I've had in years. The ingredients were fresh and the crust was fantastic. The wood fired oven gave it that unique flavor. The gelati was also quite good. Great food, great location. We'll be back.

The food was good. Convenient to the Kennedy center for a preshow meal. The pizza dough was soft....doughy....my preference is crispy so not my overall best pizza. The flavor was great though! They also have salads which are also flavorful. They have a coffee bar, beer, & desserts including gelato.

Have always had a good experience here. The restaurant smells amazing and the pizza has a lot of flavor. Timing is usually key since it isn't a large place but have not had an issue finding a seat the few times I've gone.

This is a good place to get a meal before seeing a show at the Kennedy Center as it's literally just steps away. The portions are very generous and a pizza can usually be shared between two people. The meatball dish served on a mound of polenta is outstanding!! The salads are fresh and tasty; and their wonderful pizzas are served piping hot with delicious melted mozzarella floating on top. Wine by the glass and beer is also available.

We ordered beer and a margarita pizza. The beer waa excellent. The pizza was a bit bland - the crust was good but the cheese and sauce were kind of tasteless. However, the gelato chocolate ice cream was amazing! The payment process got a bit backed up as everyone has to pay first at one register before their food is made and the line gets about 7 people long before it ends up out the door - not sure if that is just a poor layout or if they typically don't have lines.
