I was invited to a Georgetown basketball game and had some time before tipoff. We decided to go to Penn Commons. Nice atmosphere, a bit loud but a lot of other fans waiting for tip off as well. If you decide to go when there is any sort of game at the Capital Once Arena, be prepared for a crowd. I wasn't sure about ordering a salad in a bar type atmosphere, but I ordered the cobb salad that had seafood on it and was very good. My friend had the Big Daddy Burger. It looked really good, although a bit messy. I tried their tap beer which wasn't too bad. I opted for a glass of Prosecco. The Happy Hour menu had some good deals.

We had a great time during brunch. Though I personally wish there had been more food and desert options. I will say I enjoyed our glasses never being empty.

Pan seared tilapia, good but a little on the salty side. The staff was excellent and very attentive. Not once did we have to ask for anything such as drink refills. I went there for lunch. I will try dinner and hope to increase to 5 stars!

I checked. There is no neat way to eat the Sweet Memphis Blues sandwich, so I just pulled the table closer and enjoyed the braised brisket smothered in Bleu cheese slaw and mesquite BBQ sauce. It's one of five sandwiches and two salads offered on the $10 daily lunch special. I added a can of Pabst Blue Ribbon and the total came to $13.86, including tax, with my 10 per cent discount for showing a museum brochure. The food is really good and the staff is always friendly and welcoming. Every time I go I'm determined to get a salad. Maybe next time.

Went there during march madness. Incredibly reasonable prices for a DC restaurant. We got a bottle of wine and an app (dipping trio) while we waited for our ramen. The chips were AMAZING and tasted homemade, as well as the sauces being rich in flavor and not watery. The service was FAST, efficient, polite, and I highly recommend this restaurant.

Mediocre ! Average! Brisket sandwich was good! Sweet potatoe fry order is huge! Could share between two people. Apparently, lunch ends at 2:30pm, and they served us at at 2:27pm!

The happy hour specials that last to close on M-Th are a great deal, the veggie burger and sweet potato fries were good and the service was quick and friendly. Challenge yourself to identify the presidents in all the sports pictures on the walls!

This place is definitely pricey, but the food is pretty good. I ended up getting bottomless mimosas, which was $14, but that meant I also had to get the prix fixe brunch, which was $19. For $19 you could either get an appetizer and a an entree or an entree and a dessert. I opted for the latter and got the high thigh burger and the strawberry cheesecake sundae. The burger was good, but the fries were was sold me - they were incredible. The sundae was okay...if I come back I’d probably order an appetizer. The bread/dips that my boyfriend ordered were really tasty! He had pimiento cheese and spinach and artichoke and the refills on the bread were free. The waiter didn’t think he was 21, which he is, and I thought that was very funny.
