Happened to come across this place on a morning walk and it is nothing short of amazing. Great flavors, for a great price.
My kids enjoy those pops as crazy! We go all year round
Amazing flavors that are seasonal! Love this place so much. :)
delicious and fun! Took our kids during a DC vacation, when we were exploring neighborhoods and less touristy things.
Friendly people … delicious and clean food … kudos …

Made our first trip here today and loved it! What a wonderfully refreshing treat!
One of my favorite places in DC. Very unique!
Just had one of the Strawberry Lemonade Ginger Pops. It was just what the doctor ordered on a hot day!
Hyggelig stemning og god

Pretty cool and cozy establishment. Got an ’Au Lait’ while I waited for my phone to charge and warm-up. The cafe shop is fairly small....serve pops, smoothies, cookies and cakes.
Also notice the children’s section of books and coloring books.
Great, neighborhood spot. Excellent salads and sandwiches. Really like the London Fog (earl grey tea with vanilla syrup). The popsicles are unique and delicious. They also carry a few locally sourced groceries and specialty food items. Friendly service, Wi-Fi, and clean restrooms. The loyalty card is a good deal (especially when maximized correctly). Also, plenty of outlets to plug in if you're working. Drawbacks: Often crowded. Also, don't bother with the hot chocolate pops in the winter-- cool concept, but takes forever and you just end up with murky looking milk with a slight chocolate aftertaste :-p
Great little place. They have a small menu for breakfast and delicious bowls. The ice cream pops are wonderful. They have coffee drinks and tea also. The service and good are great
First off, I want to point out that this business is 100% black owned, which is amazing and it personally makes me happy to see them thriving. Secondly, this goes for my coffee connoisseurs: They’re a Counter Culture partner, which means that they serve specialty coffee that is responsibly and ethically sourced. Counter culture farmers get paid fair wages and the company does its best to continue improving their relationship in a symbiotic manner, so that both sides benefit equally. Now that I’ve highlighted the two aspects that I consider most important about this business I would like to go into detail about their operations. Staff is friendly, accommodating, and quick. They are a fully vegan-vegetarian establishment, which makes my lactose intolerant heart pretty happy. On top of everything, they’re doing an amazing job at following health code and social distancing guidelines specific to the pandemic. Staff is wearing gloves, masks, and constantly disinfecting areas. I had a very positive first experience with them and will keep coming back for more.
The pops here are refreshing, unique, and delicious. The menus changes seasonally so everything is fresh. The staff are always pretty friendly though it can get a bit backed up if there are too many customers. Also, I'm a big fan of the avocado toast for breakfast.
I love stopping at Pleasant Pops and have been going for about a year. They have excellent Counter Culture coffee and service. I worked from Pleasant Pops pretty regularly when I was using two crutches and recovering from surgery and everyone at Pleasant Pops was incredible. They brought my coffee and food order over to me so I didn't need to get up and struggle to carry it. This was totally unprompted and so kind. I appreciated it so much.
I also recently ordered food and it took slightly longer than usual — but by no means an excessive amount of time. I didn't complain or ask about it, but one of the employees came over and gave me a card for a free drink for the inconvenience.
They don't have wifi on the weekends, but during the week the wifi is excellent.
Always good food - from fresh farm milk to soups and sandwiches, not to mention locally made cookies, pies, quiches, and pickles. And, of course, the delicious and inventive popsicle flavors. Mexican chocolate is a favorite of mine. The staff is really great. Also, they make croissants every morning on site. SO GOOD.
First I was proud of this business being run by african American people, does my heart good, second the flavors are so delicious. Will return soon!!
I just discovered Pleasant Pops during Covid, and I’m so glad I did! The Black-owned business is full of friendly staff, and they are doing a great job at taking precautions for the pandemic. They have a little station set up where you can order at the front door, so you don’t actually have to go inside. Staff wore masks, and everything looked sanitary. I loved how many vegan/vegetarian options there were. I’ve been twice and got some variation of chai tea both times— it’s some of the best I’ve had in DC. The prices are reasonable for the area. It’s also a short walk from Meridian Hill park, so it’s great opportunity to grab some coffee and take a stroll through the park. I highly recommend!
The pops here are truly pleasant. They have a variety of flavors and several vegan options. They even have pup pops so your dog can enjoy a treat with you! I haven't tried their bowls yet, but they looks tasty!
