Just like their sister location in Penn Quarter, this Teaism location offers great teas in a space close to the north side of the White House. I do appreciate the addition of outdoor dining space, and they have a cozier interior. The menus are the same, so I would recommend their bento boxes.
First time having Ochazuke in the USA!!!
It's like a twist of the original formula (usually there won't be cilantro...), but I still love it!
I had it with salmon, and I was satisfied ✨ The tea soup and rice combination is a blessing to a cold day, just that please put less wasabi in my bowl haha.
We also had Okonomiyaki with brisket.
It was flavorful, but didn't match in my opinion 👀(like eating two dishes)
Still tasty, although I would try it with other ingredients next time.
It is a small restaurant with fair prices. Would recommend people come in and enjoy a casual Japanese-spirit food with some awesome tea.

Fresh food at an incredibly affordable price point, I was very surprised!
The people who work here are super nice and genuine, the food was a bonus!!! I had the lentil soup, chicken curry and boba tea, which were VERY generous portions.
Clean restaurant with lots of natural light and comfortable seating made for a great lunch.
Dining amongst the men and women that serve our nation’s capitol, our country and the White House, was a new experience for me.
The Korean Beef Brisket Sandwich is absolutely delicious! And it’s huge. Chocolate cookie is also great, would love to come back.
My new favorite lunch spot!!
Don’t be fooled by the name of the restaurant—it’s not just teas here—there’s a good variety of food options to eat! I’ve been here three times this past month just to try a variety of their dishes and so far have not been let down. Highly recommend the “bento boxes” for lunch—it’s a huge portion with your meat option and three sides. My favorites are the Korean Beef Brisket and Panko Fried Chicken Bento Boxes! If you’re not feeling the bento box style, you can order these as “side dishes” which is a huge portion too. The Thai Chicken Curry is also delicious—tons of chicken meat and well flavored.
It’s a cafe style—you order at the register, wait for your food and then bring it to your table. Food comes out fairly quick!
Wonderful place near the White House to grab breakfast-Lunch and daily break time. Yummy Udon Noodles Bowl-Make sure to order a chocolate Chip Cookie to finish any meal!
Consistent delivery of healthy, tasty bento boxes — perfect for a light (yet filling) lunch in the Farragut area. Perfect for a midday date, in a bright and smartly decorated dining space.
During the warmer months, snag one of many two-tops outside and get a little color during the lunch hour.
Best tea café in DC !! The place is really nice and they have so many tea options ! They have really good teas that you can pair hot or cold depending on you’re liking.
The food was also AWESOME ! They have authentic Asian dishes that’s are so yummy !!
We’ll definitely come back and try the others teas and dishes !!
We had a really great experience at Teaism. The food was delicious, there was a lot of it, and the customer service was awesome. I personally recommend the Thai Chicken Curry. The sauce was exquisite, and the chicken was juicy. I also recommend the cabbage butts. The sauce used for this dish provides the perfect taste. And of course the tea, Kuding Tiasne, and ginger limeade very good.
Fast, efficient, and DELICIOUS! GREAT vegan options. I had an amazing salad that had several awesome components! The vegan burger is also tasty!
Unique and tasty food, quick service, nice atmosphere. They have a ton of teas too (perhaps obviously!) but haven't tried those yet.
Lots of seating inside, plus some outside as well.
I got the Korean beef bento box for lunch. Both main and sides were flavorful and portions were pretty big.
Love the ambiance, the quick and healthy food, and the nice people. The veggie curry just did not have enough flavor, and much of it was made up of a vegetable that was quite tough. Either it was undercooked or should be cut into much smaller pieces. But it was very pretty, and I will return here!
Fantastic place for coffee snacks or tea. Incredibly honest staff who held onto a Louis Vuitton purse when it was left at a table to return it to me. Just a great spot.
Great breakfast place. Super nice service and ambience inside and outside. The outside seating is great. I can highly recommend the scrambled eggs with jalapeños and salmon on the side.
I loved this place so much I had to stop in twice on my visit! The food is delicious and unique, I loved the panko fried chicken bento and the Moroccan mint tea!
Great choice of teas and cookies. Bubble tea is one of the best ones in the area.
Great place to enjoy an Asian inspired meal and yummy deserts. We enjoyed a quiet spot by the window looking out at the fountain. Highly recommend it.
Another great experience at Teaism. I usually visit the Dupont circle location, but deviated from the norm and tried this location instead. The oatmeal had a great consistentcy neither too runny nor too thick)
Only downside was that it took surprisingly long for a simple order of oatmeal to be prepared.
