Reviews Loeb's Ny Delicatessen

Solid NY style deli with attitude. Menu over the counter, not online or printed, so till your head back and pick something out. Order at the counter and wait a few minutes. If you eat in, someone will try to find you with your food. $15 for a sandwich, but that's pretty much the going price in the city for lunch. Hot fries add another $3. What's not to love.

I've been in DC for close to 20 years. This institution (and it IS an institution) is what the city has very few of; Authentic, delicious, and hands down the BEST deli! If you haven't tried Loeb's yet, wth are you waiting for?! You get what you pay for here. There is never a shortage on food and they don't skimp!!

Every bite of the Loeb’s Special Reuben is crispy on the outside and delicious in the middle. Side pickle is tops. Expect to wait a minute to get this classic NY deli sandwich but it is worth it. Prices comparable to most downtown. 14-15 for the sandwich. Chips are a bit pricey at $2.

Don’t go anywhere but here for breakfast. Fried potatoes like mom used to make. Don’t skimp on lunch either the steak and cheese with fries is the bomb! Lots more to offer than that. Wished I could eat there everyday!!!

Food is always amazing and massive and I love the workers! This is my favorite place in DC and I have been going for here for almost two years and highly recommend when visiting DC or working nearby!

A solid 4/5. Nothing mind blowing, but a very serviceable Jewish deli in the middle of downtown. Get a half (or whole) tongue sandwich, a side of chopped liver, and a cup of matzo ball soup

So glad this place exists. Best Steak and Cheese hands down. My sister introduced this place to me. I love their breakfast food as well. Please don't sleep on this place.

Unexpectedly went here today. I got matzo ball soup, potato pancakes, and chicken salad. All delicious! I wish it were closer to where I work!

Loeb's has been around forever and is always packed at lunchtime-- at their location, you know that means they're doing something right. Personally I recommend any of their deli sandwiches. Their Maryland Crab Soup is also surprisingly solid for a counter service place.

I just ate the most amazing sandwich. In fact it was the best sandwich I have eaten in my entire 48 years on this planet. The owners were also great. So friendly. I wish I would have found Loeb's on my first day in town. I would have been here trying something new everyday! I would certainly count this deli among one of our national treasures!

I have so much high regards for Marlene and her staff… iI plan to partner with her as my workshops’ caterer! Dee Burrell
