If you like home style food look no further. Lamb Kabob was done just fine. Haven't had anything like it in a long time. Lots of cultural art there too. Enjoy!

Came from SC for a long weekend. After an 8 hour trip we stopped in here for dinner. The staff was super friendly and sociable. Everyone who came in the door was greeted and made to feel welcome. The walls are decorated with beautiful and interesting photographs of Afghanistan. The food was super fresh and delicious. Very authentic, and definitely homemade naan enjoyed by all. Couldn't be more pleased with stopping here.

We tried chicken, lamb, and beef kabobs--all were good. Sides were good. Flat bread was good. Friendly workers. Cafe-style casual atmosphere, with 1980s-era quirky Afghanistan-related posters on walls.

By far the best afghan cuisine in DC & surroundings. The kababs are very tender & delicious & the vegetarian dishes are amazing. A must place to visit if you want to eat tasty fresh food served to you in good time & a reasonable price,,,

Great kebabs, expertly grilled. Very friendly staff and cool afghani decor. If you've not yet had afghan, you're in for a treat (chatni sauce is great). Lots of options for kebabs but I'm partial to the lamb chunks. TV generally runs what looks like afghani musicals. Everything made to order. Food takes about 10 minutes. No outside eating.

The rating is for the quality of food. The chicken, lamb and beef with long white rice were delicious (super jumbo dish). When I was there the restaurant was well ventilated with no smell issues.

The food is awesome, the guy behind the counter was great, even gave us free samples of soup while we waited. Get the sweet pumpkin as your side. Eat here every day if you're lucky enough to be close.

The food was just fantastic. The chicken kabob was way beond expectations.. we ordered lamb kabob, chicken kabob, and shawama and all were delicious. The only point we didn't like was the restroom .. there was no hand soap.. but this can hapoen in other restaurants

I'm a big fan of delicious, unpretentious but fairly priced food. This place hit all the marks. My boyfriend and I stumbled upon it while wandering around Dupont. I got the gyro sandwich ($7). The meat was spiced and cooked perfectly. It also comes with a good dollop of tzatziki all wrapped up in a delicious afghan style bread. The yogurt spinach dip that comes on the side was so good that I took some home for later use. Highly recommend.

Absolutely FANTASTIC food and utterly delightful service. There were 4 of us and we all ordered different items, all of which were superb. We highly recommend this place after seeing the equally fantastic Phillips Collection Museum, which is only about a block away.

This is hands down the best kabob in the DC area (and we have a lot here). I don't know how they do it but the meat is absolutely perfect, the bread is amazing, and there are so many incredible vegetarian and vegan options.

This is one of the best secrets in Dupont! The food here is really fantastic. Go for lunch and get the A1 lunch special, it comes with a kabob of your choice (I always get the chicken. It is so juicy, tender, and packed with flavor), salad, a scoop of rice, and a topping (the spinach or lamb curry is fabulous). Every meal also comes with amazing bread which is a mix between naan and pita. I highly recommend asking for some of the white yogurt sauce to go with your meal- it is very garlicy and delicious. The best part about this establishment is the friendly guys who work behind the counter. They give you a free cup of Afghani chicken soup while you wait for your food, and they are very nice!

Very friendly owner, who is only 21 years old. Foods are marinated and well barbecued in front of you. The lamb is juicy and crispy. I'd rather have this than another hamburger!

The Kabob House has some of the *best* Afghan food in town. It's definitely one of the top 10 lunch spots in Dupont Circle, and it gets wayyy less foot traffic than it should.
