What a vibe! Came here on my birthday with a group of ~10. We arrived around midnight, and the top floor was packed and everybody was dancing to a variety of instrumental house, R&B, and Latin music. To find space for our group, we moved downstairs where there was also a dance floor and bar. Music was mainstream but it was fun and the DJ knew what he was doing. We moved back upstairs later and the music was still choice. There’s plenty of coat hooks and a coat rack, and water stands so I felt comfy. It wasn’t too busy by 1am, so there was space to move. Only downside is that the patio was closed.

My husband and I recently held a semi-private event at ESL. The staff was extremely friendly and helped us host a great event. The drinks were strong and tasty. The patio was enclosed so we could spend time outside even in the cool temperatures. Overall, the vibes were immaculate :) We couldn't have asked for a better place to host for our event!

As a customer of the former Eighteenth Street Lounge, I wasn’t sure how this new spot was going to be like— I had some concerns about it and just wanted to give it a try last Thursday. They have amazing bartenders like Caro. She is SUPER friendly and funny. Her cocktails tastes so good which is why I will definitely be back. The new concept is also nice. They have enough place for everyone to dance. I feel like this would a great spot for large group of friends.

18th Street Lounge is a DC staple for good music, good vibes and all the dancing. So happy that ESL reopened to continue to support the DC nightlife community. Highly recommend a night out here!

If you're in DC, this is the place to be. Convention Center parties make for a wild range of good times. Top notch DJs and bands, 3 serious bars, best outdoor deck in the area, multiple level happenings. Great lots of times, late night rocks, lovely welcome.

Been here several times before. Great to see the transformation into the Bacardi Rum Room. I love the vintage feel of it. Lots of modern hacks but it gives you vibes of a time that has passed.

As I topped the stairs I was transported to a magical space, Victorian parlor meets speak easy, with a few sprinkles of rave. The vibe was chill and but energetic, like meeting friends one has not seen in awhile. I met new people and had my soul filled with good music.

This special combination of great music, cocktails and atmosphere is a D.C. Icon. Cool kids, smaht kids, music nerds and beautiful minds fill this space every day of the week. NOTE: It's now located on 9th St. So IYKYK Don't be fooled by the imposters who moved into the old spot near tourist Dupont. 9th St is the REAL DEAL.

Love this place. The wood floors vibrate to the music. They have a variety of genres being played live and by DJ simultaneously in different rooms so you can flow from vibe to vibe and feel like you're club crawling without leaving the building. The crowd is late 20s-30s and a bit more sophisticated/professional than other venues in the area, without being pretentious. The drinks aren't cheap, but I feel that the quality of entertainment is worth paying a little extra for. I make it a point to stop in for a little dancing whenever I'm in DC.

Dance music scene at its finest. ESL has one of the best vibes of any venue anywhere. The music talent is fantastic. It's the birthplace of Thievery Corporation after all. House DJs, Trip-Hop, Downtempo, Live Jazz & Latin fusion most notably come to mind. Contributing to the good vibes is that it's a townhouse converted into a lounge/club so there's several different rooms to explore. Another bonus is that there's hardly any douchey-ness to the crowd at all.

My favourite place in town! On the streets, I was kindly invited by the most friendly and beautiful dog I’ve ever seen. Inside I was served by the owner and kindest soul I’ve crossed paths with. Great athmosphere, great prices and just an overall amazing evening. Thank you, guys! I’ll be back!

Went dancing on my birthday and enjoyed dance music created by a great house beat mixed with 80s and other popular music. DJ focused on dance-ability and party music instead of fringe beats!! Reminiscent of great 90s gay bars in Atlanta playing the best dance music which made you feel like dancing all night!

Sweet night spot in downtown DC. There are four separate dancefloors that all place different music. On the top floor, they had a live jazz band playing as well. Reasonably priced drinks and a coat check as well. Keep in mind there is a $10 cover charge after 11.
