I had the beef stew with collards on the side. Both were delicious! My cousin had the chicken stew and loved it, too. The service was great and the food came hot and timely. I would definitely recommend this restaurant (I actually already have on my Facebook page).

Very vegan friendly! Strolled down h st looking to try something new and ended up here. The decor is colorful, the staff is pleasant, and the food is tasty! The portion is also a large size. I could’ve split mine with someone and I had leftovers for myself.

Good relaxed Ethiopian restaurant in Atlas / NE DC area. Food is pretty tasty, in particular the Injera (or spongy bread, as I call it lol) tastes better than other Ethiopian restaurants I've tried. There are Combo platters or individual dishes across Lamb / Beef / Poultry / Vegetarian (Vegan). Friendly staff as well.

We had a celebration dinner with my brother before he went off, and it was fantastic. They served the 8 of us with no problems, the food came out just as quick as if it had only been 2 of us. A bummer that the coffee machine was off late at night, but otherwise everything was great. And! I got to try Ethiopian honey wine! I didn't even know African mead existed, who'd have thought :D Great experience, would recommend, everyone was friendly.

My wife and I stopped by two weeks ago and we had the comb veggie and meat entrees, they were excellent; and we had plenty of leftovers for the following day. Okay, we went back again last Saturday and took two friends because we wanted them to try it and they agreed the food is excellent and fresh. One of our friends ordered the fish, good and enough for two. And the staff was nice and friendly.

I really enjoyed the food here. The combination plates were pretty affordable for DC standards. Definitely big enough for two people to share. My friend and I also ordered honey wine. The wine itself was excellent but pricey ($10 for a glass). I still prefer Habesha near U street but it's great to have this option closeby in NE. The waitress who served us was also super nice and attentive.

We had another very enjoyable birthday celebration with family and friends at Addis Ethiopian restaurant . Taking time to sit, talk, and eat comfortably and privately for hours. The food was excellent the service was outstanding. The lamb and the beef dishes was the best I have ever had, and my kids who usually does not eat meat loved it. I would recommend this restaurant highly.

My wife and I had an excellent meal at Addis last night, our first time there. It's great to have a second Ethiopian restaurant on the H Street strip. The food was delicious and the staff great. We'll be returning (and for the record we also like the other nearby Ethiopian restaurant.)

“Great and Authentic Ethiopian in the heart of DC” I had a great time at Addis Ethiopian Restaurant, I love this place! Truly authentic, affordable and delicious Ethiopian food. The staff is lovely and the atmosphere and decor is great as well. I had my graduation dinner at Addis, I would recommend it to anyone who wants to try something different. Keep up the good work Addis!

Incredibly delicious food. The vegetable sambusha as starter and the Vegetable platter combination 2 was really tasty. The price was icing on the pie. For 4 people the complete lunch amounted to less than $40. Will definitely go again..

Incredibly delicious food, helpful servers, full bar, beer & wine on tap. (Nice large wine pours too!) The Addis Combo 3 is perfect to share with another person - especially if you haven't had Ethiopian food before!! Short walk from metro line through cute neighborhood. Great spot for tourists looking to escape the normal tourist scene!

Great food! Got the veggie combo to split and it had 8 amazing things to try like lentils and cabbage and other veggies. The sponge bread it's served on was delicious as well.

I got takeout from here; my order was ready in a timely manner and the food was good. I got the vegetarian 8-dish combination, and got extra injera because I'm addicted to it. The portion size was generous; I'll have plenty of leftovers.

I went to Addis restaurant with my manager for lunch. Starting from the time we entered we were treated like ROYALS. I could not such hospitality we received from Samuel. The food was great but the way they took care of us was even more than expected. Looking forward to going back with friends.
