You'll enjoy the pizza and coffee, not necessarily in that order. A genuine hidden gem in the Dupont Circle neighborhood.
Wow! Let me say this place is so peaceful and quiet. Perfect for catching up on laptop errands like emails, Facebook, or just to skip out on the significant for a couple hours. This brasserie's wonderful atmosphere and large selection of food warrants a great review and spreading the word!
Lovely place for breakfast, the home fries are delicious and the bacon crisp.
I love their waffles they are very delicious and I also enjoy the company of the people that work there. Very nice people :)
Always a pleasure coming into this place. The owners are always courteous. The food is always good!
Good place for working! Great ambience, soft music and good food. Owners are really nice and make you feel like home
Only tried the pizza but it was pretty awesome. I hear their pastas and tapas options are equally delicious and I believe it. Tried the goat cheese, tomato and spinach. Spinach was fresh wilted and hadn't been put through the pizza oven, which is a nice touch. Dough was chewy and properly charred, sauce fresh and full of tomato flavor. Great neighborhood spot for a quick bite or a nice dinner. Service was attentive but not overwhelming. Plus it was very affordable.
Relaxing atmosphere. The pizza didn't make it to my top10 list - but the chocolate cake made up for that and more.
I absolutely love this place! Every time I'm in DC, I make it a point to go out of my way and stop here at least once for breakfast. They have the most amazing oatmeal I've ever found at a restaurant. So amazing, in fact, that I've tried to replicate it at home to no avail. *sigh* I suppose that will just make me have something to look forward to every time I visit. Oh... By the way, be sure to try the house latte too. It's a little on the sweeter side for you more sensitive pallets, but you might be able to have it adjusted in advance. Regardless, it's just a warm, cozy kind of drink. Very relaxing indeed.
Steam is definitely a locals' hole-in-the-wall kind of place. I work from there a lot since their wifi is decent and their coffee is good and cheap (compared to everywhere else in Dupont). It is not one of those charming hipster coffee shops, but it's still very comfortable and is rarely, if ever, crowded. It's well lit and there are plenty of couches and things to work from if you don't want a table. Their food is alright, nothing to write home about, but the folks that run the place are very friendly. If you're looking for a local place to grab some coffee and/or a quick bite to eat, this place is worth a stop.
Much better than it looks. The food is very well prepared, and delicious. The coffee comes in a big mug, and the wifi is fast and free. Spacious, so weekend table to work on is guaranteed. Eggs Benedict very good. Crepes expensive but good.
This is a neighborhood classic spot. Super friendly staff. Unique and innovative decor put this spot over the top for a coffee meet up. Lots of space so there is room to talk without rubbing elbows with folks a table over. Check it out if you get the chance.
Small and lovely place for a coffee and breakfast. Super quiet with arm chairs to lounge around in while eating. Service is on the slower side but the people are kind and sweet.
one of my favourite cafe, have a coffee and work with my laptop, specious and homy!
Great place to bring your laptop and do some work. There’s plenty of seating and they probably play the most relaxing music I’ve ever heard at a coffee shop.
Cozy corner cafe with lots of food options and couches to lounge and read.
The owner is the hostess and the cook, so it is an easy paced ordering process, but well worth the wait! Good food and sweet lady!
