The food is so good, I look forward to eating here again the next time that I am in DC. A plate was created for someone in my family who wanted something specific. I thought that was very nice. The service was great & attentive. Not a lot of variety for non-alcoholic drinks. The music was a bit loud for my taste & some of it was inappropriate for children. However, that does not change my review at all or my 5-star rating!
OMG! We love this spot. The food is amazing as well as the atmosphere! The servings are huge, so you will always leave with food to take home! The appetizer size (to me) is just as big as an entree. There is a wider variety of foods not just po boys!
Definitely will be back! My go to is the Gumbo (without rice) and either one of their Cajun pastas.
We sat outside because it was a pretty nice day. As a consequence our service wasn’t the best but our waiter was still attentive. The food was amazing. Everything was incredibly flavorful and fresh. I would definitely recommended to a friend.
Food: Bang bang chicken and shrimp pro boy; Cajun fries; Crawfish spring rolls
Drinks: DC Hurricane (dark and white rum with fruit juices with blue curaçao); Po Boy Hurricane (dark and white rum with fruit juices with grenadine sink)
Ambiance: Homey, casual, & the music was great!
Parking: I took an Uber but street parking is available
Pricing: Cheap & fair given the amount of food.
Food (flavors): The po boy was BOMB; the shrimp and chicken were fried perfectly. The sauce was super flavorful and had a balanced spicy and sweet flavor combination. It wasn’t too spicy. The roll was soft and the flavor of the greens didn’t overpower any other flavors in the po boy. I would eat this every day if I could lol The Cajun fries were also fried perfectly they weren’t too crunch or too soft. They were seasoned well and weren’t spicy despite being cajun fries. The crawfish spring rolls were cooked well but lacked seasoning. The flavor came from the sweet chili sauce.
Portion size: Large
Drinks: DC Hurricane & Po Boy Hurricane (both drinks were sweet and strong).
Note: Service was pretty slow.

Every dish was delicious and the true essence of flavor. Drinks were strong! Devil eggs were excellent! Gumbo seasoned extremely well. Po boy was fresh and flavorful & made to perfection. They keep their word when it comes to bottomless mimosas. Catfish and grits I can’t even to explain my delight. Hospitality was warm and friendly. 10/10
Po Boy Jim did not disappoint. I was pleasantly surprised by the portion sizes of the Gumbo Starter and the Shrimp Po Boy. 10/10 would recommend both. The deviled eggs were good too. We didn’t have to wait too long to get seated or get our food. The bar tender was attentive until more folks flowed in. He was holding down the upstairs mostly by himself so we weren’t even too mad about the way service slowed down (we were at a table not the bar). The music was also a vibe giving classic r&b that evoked so much nostalgia and comfort. Will definitely be back to try more items on the menu!
The music and atmosphere where awesome here! The devilish egg rolls were top tier and the po boys were amazing! Max was our sever and he was super attentive respectful and helped with tons of recommendations! Will be back! Plus the drinks were dranking ✨
Food was excellent, we were seated and serviced quickly. The atmosphere and building were nice. Waitstaff needs a little bit more training on hospitality. We were greeted once and never again throughout our meal. We ordered beignets and the server "forgot" to put it in. We were only given one glass of water throughout our entire (spicy) meal. The runner staff were more personable and ended up printing our check because the server also "forgot." I don't know what's going on behind the scenes to cause such a disconnect, but it needs to be fixed quickly. Luckily, the food is good.

The fried food was crispy crunchy and inside juicy. The food was great, my favourite is the gumbo! The remoulade sauce tasted awesome with fries, I could eat that forever - it’s tangy and not as thick as the chipotle sauce. The fried catfish was moist inside and well-seasoned. Our server was the bartender, he was chill, it was great. As a Chinese person living in the pacific north west, this creole food is not easy to find. I would totally come back here next time I’m in DC.
I had an awesome experience. The service was excellent and vibe of the restaurant was cool. I ordered a takeout order in store. I ordered a lot so while I waited, I tried the Po Boy Hurricane. It was really good. I ordered the deviled eggs, crawfish spring rolls, shrimp basket, and shrimp and grits. The food travelled well and everything tasted fresh and amazing even after the 30 minute drive home. I was impressed. I will certainly be returning to eat inside the restaurant. I need more of those Hurricanes in my life.
Fast friendly service, good food, good drinks. I could not give them 5 stars because the bathroom need regular cleaning and repair. Our server and bartender were great. I can't say enough about the drinks. Definitely will go back with a crew.

The food was good, the fried shrimp po boy was a bit dry but the grilled chicken po boy was very juicy. The portions for the price was reasonable. The place itself was very clean and had a nice vibe. Our server “forgot” about us shortly after we ordered even though the place wasn’t busy.
Very welcoming. Great food. Good time.
Great food and drinks. Only reason service wasn't a 5-star was because they we're short-staffed unfortunately so getting the bill and my to-go order took a while. However, the server, possibly the manger, was very apologetic. It's definitely worth going back again and giving them another chance.
The food was delicious and flavorful. I've had the shrimp and grits, the district po boy and the bread pudding before. Very happy with everything I've tried so far. I definitely recommend that you try something from here.
