Really good bagels! I ordered a bagel sandwich (the bacon sun city) which I loved - especially with the spicy honey. I also got a cold brew, and a dozen bagels with cream cheese pint. Overall it was quite pricey for dozen bagels - but everything was truly delicious. I’d definitely come back here, no questions.
Nice little sandwich joint. I had the pastrami, eggs, and cheese on a bagel. Along with the tuna melt. Both were pretty good. However as far as I can tell, there’s no inside dining. So I’d recommend preordering on their website so you don’t have to stand around and wait outside like a mamaluke. I’d go back.
Simply a take-out window with adjoining outdoor patio. Bagels and bagel sandwiches are great. Coffee is good too. A bit confusing on the ordering process and menu but guaranteed to find something you like. Try ordering online for pickup!
Easily the best bagel shop in the DC area. They have a ton of options to choose from, and I’ve tried a couple of the different bagels they have but nothing beats the pastrami, egg, and cheese bagel. What really shines in this is the pastrami. I am yet to find anywhere that comes remotely close to how this pastrami tastes
Truly the best bagels in DC. Amazing flavors, very fresh, fluffy, tasty, all the good things. But, CYM is only getting four stars because the coffee is awful. It’s so bland, it taste watered down, and per my gf, “They clearly aren’t trying to impress anyone, or their mother, with this coffee.”
The food was great! Some of the most authentic New York style bagels! The online ordering system is easy, but overall it is very expensive to customize your order, and that was a deterrent, especially when you want less on your bagel sandwich. The bakery items were also delicious! Coffee was decent, the Espresso bar had a good amoubt of options but small sizes only.
Love love love this place! 🙌 You can never go wrong with a good bagel 🥯 and they deliver on that promise here! These are definitely my favorite bagels in DC.
They have a good COVID system here too with it being window service and all. On the weekend, I’d recommend ordering beforehand online and then picking it up — the line can get pretty long on the weekends.
Amazing bagels, amazing service! Super team, delicious food! The chocolate milk was super good, the salmon bagel - rihanna bagel - is great! Sitting outside on the patio is nice! Definitely the one favorite bagel place in DC!
I finally made it! Well worth it, of course. Added their bacon, egg, (honey,) and cheese on everything to my list, completing my tour of the city. If you don't get this or the pastrami (and you're not vegetarian/vegan), you're missing out! Made sure to get a dessert bagel to go, because if you're going to break with tradition, you may as well go over the top.
Ordered the shyne and it did not disappoint; the bacon, egg, and cheese were perfectly nestled in an everything bagel. Despite the line being out the door, it moved quickly (~15 min) and by the time we ordered and found a table, within minutes a food runner came out with our food. If you’re looking for a great breakfast sandwich this is your place. Also, there’s street parking and an outdoor patio for those interested.
Call Your Mother is a classic DC establishment. It was visited by Joe Biden in 2021! CYM - West End is located inside the hotel, but has outdoor seating and its own entrance. I ordered the Royal Palm which is the classic salmon bagel with cream cheese and capers on an everything bagel. It was exquisite! I loved the smoked salmon. I loved the pink tones, and light blue art decor. It really exudes charm. Next time, I would want to The Bacon Sun City, but definitely a spot for the locals and tourists alike!
Delicious bagels - waited until we thought the line would be better, it was slightly. Bagels are delicious, not a ton of room to sit or move around especially with the line. Bagels were great, bacon egg and cheese was fantastic. Bacon was perfect, bagel is soft on the center. Overall solid experience
Came here for the first time last weekend and WOW. These are seriously amazing bagels and bagel sandwiches. I was astonished at how good the bread was and how quality everything was.
We came here on a Saturday afternoon and the line was out the door. I vowed not to be deterred by the line and the line moved pretty quickly.
I ordered the Shyne with bacon and got the sandwich to go. I was really impressed with how amazing this sandwich was. The bodega-style egg was something I hadn't ever had before and the bacon was plentiful on the sandwich. Everything just worked together, especially with the bagel (which was SOOOO good).
I keep thinking about this place so I'm hoping I'll be back soon!
Have to say this is the best bagel I have had in DC. Decently unassuming place, with a small outdoor seating section. Not a ton of tables inside, but enough open up if you wait. Lines can be pretty long here, but it moved pretty fast. Menu has good options, and a good variety of breakfast options (bacon/egg/cheese sandwich, bagel with lox, etc). They bring the order to your table if you decide to eat there, you just to the front counter if you take it to go. We got breakfast sandwiches, and they were excellently made, not too overstuffed, not greasy. Highly recommend anyone looking for a legit bagel and great breakfast come try here.
Call Your Mother is a charming little bagel place in DC. It's tagline is "Jew-ish," but there are a lot of pork products on the menu to avoid if you're trying to eat kosher. Not really a good or bad thing in my opinion, but it's something to be aware of in case you have dietary restrictions. Personally I think it's kind of cool that they have a wide variety of items. They also have what I would consider more traditional Jewish fare like their Royal Palm bagel (pictured), which is your classic lox and bagel, as well as Babka and Latkes. The Royal Palm is quite good and comes topped with capers, cucumbers, onions, and tomatoes. I've had more flavorful bagels elsewhere but Call Your Mother is better than a lot of places. I'd go there again to check out their other offerings.
The Thunderbird and s’mores sticky bun are on point like a dreidel!
Tried the new Thunderbird and s’mores latte and s’mores sticky bun. They also packaged the bun in its own container which was A++ in my book. The maple & salt bagel for the Thunderbird is 👌🏼 so good! The latte was pretty good. Nothing I’d get again but will 100% be back for the sticky bun and tThunderbird, and I still have more to try for sure!
I just had the BEST pastrami and egg bagel from this spot. I am a super picky eater, and I don’t enjoy everyone else’s eggs. Everything thing about this sandwich was to my liking. Soooo delicious!
What a fabulous bagel shop.. have it just how you want. No indoor seating. Just grab and go and you will not be disappointed. Would highly recommend xx
