Reviews Dc Mother Ruckers

Due to my wife and my debate on which sandwich shop in DC is the best, I’ll say this is one of the best sub shops in that city (My vote’s still with Mangialardo’s on the Hill). Regardless, Mother Rucker’s makes a mean sub. You can create it as you like but I recommend the straight up “motherload.” It’s huge and amazing! There are a few seats inside but most people get there’s to go. If the owner is there, say hi. She’s really friendly and very proud of the business she’s created (as she should be!).

Always fresh. Quality subs every time I go. They always put a smile on my face with how pleasant they are.

To die for! Bread is soft amazingness, meat and cheese slices are ultra think, hot peppers are chopped up instead of whole, and service is sincerely friendly! $1 upgrade from 8 to 12 inch. My 12 inch deluxe and bag of chips was $9.75.

Good local place. Can be slow during lunch rush to make your sub, but usually worth it. Tons of sub options, but limited otherwise to potato chips and bottled drinks.

Came in hungry, left very full and happy. The staff out here (Gwen, Scott, Jeremy and all the rest) are the best!

This is an awesome old school spot. Bread is wonderful and so are the cookies. 😋

I HIGHLY recommend coming here, these sandwiches are 100x better than Potbelly’s and Jetties combined! And it’s not overpriced, 10/10 would come again

Got the roast beef/turkey sandwich and a regular turkey sandwich. Overall quality of ingredients was a plus, though the roast beef was chewy. The issue was with missing ingredients. One sandwich was missing mayo. The other was missing the turkey meat. Wouldn't be a big deal, except this has occurred with almost every order lately. Edit: Based on a recent order, I'm upgrading my review. When everything is correct, the sandwiches are some of the best I've had and something I truly look forward to.

Delicious. Do yourself a favor and get a 12 inch. The subs are amazing here and the service is fast. Can’t go wrong with anything on the menu!

Great sandwiches. Standard sandwiches are eight inches not six. Loaded with plenty of meat and vegetables. Perfect hole in the wall sandwich shop.

Huge subs, flavorful. Definitely worth the money. Worth a try if you're tired of the other guys and really hungry. The Marion Barry and a bag of Honey Sriracha chips is all you need.

Simple & easy sub shop in NE Washington DC. Pretty decent prices (considering downtown DC), and the subs had a good amount of meats. Take out only it seems but that's ok, friendly staff. Be careful with the parking out front, someone got a ticket when we ordered.
