It was Taco Tuesday! Ordering was completed using a QR Code (not my favorite) and the server quickly brought out our chips and dip. For $20 we had four delicious tacos and alcohol beverage (beer or margaritas (frozen or on the rocks). Cute spot on H Street.

This past Sunday it was suggested I visit this spot for some amazing Mexican food for sure 🥑. I said sure and made my way to it after heading to an epic photo event my bestie let me know about!!
The staff were friendly and lively especially Chanthu and Jessica (Jess) (I hope I am pronouncing each correct💯.)
It was fun chatting it up with Chanthu and she was familiar with MD and an artist. She also gave out some amazing complimentary horchata 🖤.
I had to order my TO-GO (not dine-in) order via the app because I guess things haven't transitioned since the pandemic. (I explicitly told Jess it was a to-go order.) It legit cost an arm & a leg and $53.60 for 2 burritos 🌯🌯 (almost Chipotle-size but twice the cost), guac 🥑 on both, the tip, and the CHURROS I never got.
Jess put the chocolate sauce in and the guac's on the side (not sure why), put some mild/verde sauce, and no churros...I'm upset and disappointed because this is the second time I order from a fast food place this weekend (Marlboro Pike Popeyes) and they forgot the sauce. So, yeah even though it was a cool looking place it's wild to pay almost $60 that charges for each and every topping and legit forgot my side of churros but not the sauce (check my pictures.) Peace out!
Amazing experience. Came here with a party of 15 on a Saturday and were able to sit together with no wait. QR code ordering was easy and great. Açaà bowl was good and heard the tacos were average but the rice and beans were a hit. Pitchers (3 glasses worth) of margaritas for $22. Definitely recommend because of great atmosphere and top notch service
Birria tacos was so good I returned 3x this month ! Gary has been very helpful with placing orders and letting you know about the taco Tuesday special that comes with 4Tacos and 2drinks (I get Margaritas on the rocks) it’s everything ! He’s friendly and welcoming to all customers ! Have not had a bad experience ,I will continue to return ! They have indoor seating and outdoor seating that’s covered but still have heaters for when’s it’s cold ! I felt very comfortable here and enjoyed my food and the conversation he had ! Prices are definitely reasonable (you’re eating Latin food) the nachos were so good when u came my second time around.
Ms. Jess is a local treasure! She makes amazing margaritas and the team here is ready to knock your socks off with some out of this world food and service! Taco Tuesday is only done right if you are doing it here!
Two our server was amazing, they were knowledgeable and pleasant. We loved every recommendation. The frozen margarita is a must. Love love love. 7 stars
Love this spot! Was with a group of 4 friends and our food was out in less then 15 mins! Tacos were tasty and filling. Overall great lunch spot.
Food and service was so good! Two made us feel right at home. I loved the consume that came with the Birria tacos I got.

This place is a gem. The fish tacos I just had were amazing. Gary was the best from the moment we sat down here. A+ Service A+ Food. Will absolutely be back! Thank you for the experience!

Anyone can do tacos, but not like this! If you want flavorful food served up by a friendly staff the Chupacabra delivers. While there I overheard a co-owner talking with patrons about the menu and what they liked. Come to find out they've been in business for 8 years with customers driving in from outside the Beltway. So have a seat, enjoy the sounds of the city, and make some memories over some great food!
Love this place. From humble beginnings, to seasonal opening schedule, to almost closing their doors pre-pandemic, to becoming a neighborhood anchor after the pandemic started to decline. Outdoor patio is great, indoor patio is great if it is raining, to the very friendly and engaging staff. Shawn2 and Jessica will make you feel at home. Come experience the food, it’s legit! Drinks are great, beers are cold. Don’t leave without trying the guac and chips. Holy Moly! There is something for everyone at Chupacabra!
We are visiting from Texas and the food, atmosphere and staff were all amazing! Thu is the best server we’ve had in DC. She sat and chatted with us and was so fun and welcoming!
