This place is a gem and I love it! Helen, the owner is warm and friendly, the Ethiopian coffee is delicious! I have had both the bagel sandwich with sausage and with ham and both are awesome. Just a great little place! She does not have much in the way of Ethiopian dishes to offer, but what she has is very good. And you can't beat the prices!
Small cost place to spent some time. Very good employees and warm environment. Coffee is great.
AMAZING food! Amazing value!!! Literally cheapest Ethiopian on the block and the special we get is WAY better than other way more expensive places on the block. Since we found this place we have been ordering from them at least once a week. We think the cute older lady that is always there owns it and she is so nice! EAT HERE you won’t be disappointed!
Ahh, I still remember the taste of the Turkey sandwich and Chai latte I had. Will definitely go again for breakfast.
excellent Ethiopian food! 2 enthusiastic eaters were stuffed with their combo/sampler, 6 veg. dishes, 3 meat and plenty of injera, all for $15. a pretty fantastic value. (The restroom could be a tad cleaner but it was still clean enough-)
Pretty good coffee and drinks. Ethiopian is homemade and great. I used to work at a Ethiopian restaurant, and this place is a bit different, but to be expected in Adams Morgan. Still very good. Also nice and low-key if you have a dog.
Absolutely delicious food and tons of it! Their beef tib platter is definitely meant for two people and its still somehow cheaper then almost any other Ethiopian restaurant in the dc. I cannot recommend this place enough.
It's a nice small place with very nice warm people, that work there.
The owner is a sweet Ethiopian lady, that often gets help from her sister, that is as nice as well.
They serve Ethiopian food that is amazingly delicious! Check it out!
If you're looking for an inexpensive place to grab a breakfast sandwich and coffee, this "hole in the wall" is a good bet. Located in the Adams Morgan neighborhood, the decor isn't anything to write home about, but the bagel, egg & cheese sandwich I ordered hit the spot. The coffee was mediocre but I have had many worse ones from more expensive establishments. There was just one server (owner?); she provided great service and was responsive to the kids' breakfast needs. All 4 breakfast orders (2 adults + 2 children ~ $25) were off-menu items, so remember to ask if you don't find something you like on the menu.
This place is truly a hidden gem. Easy to miss but they serve incredible and authentic Ethiopian food. Would highly recommend to anyone in the area.
