Interesting blend of traditional and modern sushi but the tools are significantly smaller (half) what you'd normally get in an order so it can add up quick. Environment was great and the service was friendly, also much faster than expected! Just wish there were more sushi options.

Welcoming venue and staff. The potato Croquetes - is an unexpected and good appetizerr I would recommend the Ishiyaki, expensive but a nice treat. Must have The capitol: deep fried delight and beef sashimi. Don't overlook the basic rolls. The salmon avocado, is really good. Also good are all the special rolls, Alaska, Capitol, Dragon, Hachi, Volcano, and Yellowtail Cilantro.

I'm overwhelmed with emotions! People, why do you come here?... The sushi here is so delicious that you don’t want to share it with anyone! I really liked the volcano rolls. The atmosphere in the restaurant is simply wonderful, so comfortable and pleasant! The service is top notch, all the staff are very nice and polite. I will come here more than once, so please always keep a reserve table for me, hahaha.

Sushi Hachi is a small quaint restaurant! It is nicely setup with good food and great service. A nice touch to get started were the compressed towels that rapidly expand when adding water. There is a small tray with the compressed towel and water...cute detail to wipe your hands as you sit down at the table. The sushi is good but not great. The price is on the higher side considering the quality. Nice atmosphere and great service making the whole experience a good one.

Popped in for a late lunch on a Tuesday. The sushi was excellent and very reasonably priced. The cocktails were innovative and delicious as well. The design and atmosphere of the restaurant was very modern and clean, it looked great. Service was a little on the self-serve side. Will definitely be coming back again!

One of the BEST sushi restaurants I’ve ever been to. Everything was great - from the restaurant decor, ambiance and vibe to the food and drinks. Friendly attentive staff. LOVED the ‘Dreams Come True’ cocktail. Ordered a selection of nigiri, sashimi and the hachi roll. Everything was delicious. We were able to relax and take our time. HIGHLY recommend

We had a really nice time here! Despite arriving about 10min late for our reservation, the host was kind and welcoming and we were seated promptly. The interior is super cute and creates a nice upscale vibe. This is a great spot for a date. The kitchen takes great care in plating beautiful dishes, and the fish is fresh and delicious. For such high quality food, the prices are very reasonable!

We are regulars --about once a month for takeout, I'd say. Not absolutely world-class but still a good and reliable neighborhood spot. Nice people, too --always friendly and cheerful when picking up (we have never eaten in).

First off, I ordered 1- Spicy Salmon Avo roll and 1-Crunchy Shrimp and they put both of them in the same dish which I thought was a bit odd. The Crunchy Shrimp was MID and had no taste to put it mildly... HOWEVER, the Capitol Roll was ridiculous! I mean seriously, it was one of the best sushi dishes I've ever had. I'd go back just for that Capitol Roll

The Sushi was absolutely delicious! Well, I love the setup of this wonderful restaurant. They had cute Halloween decorations up and also other Little touches such as compressed pellets that expand rapidly when wet to wipe your hands prior to eating making the experience more enjoyable. Ordered the Chef's Sushi Platter which includes miso soup, Edamame, snapper ceviche, 3 piece nigiri sushi, 4 piece yellowtail cilantro roll. Also ordered Alaska Roll 8pcs which consist of Salmon/shrimp tempura/avocado/eel sauce. In addition, ordered a 5 piece Prime beef on an Ishiyaki grilling hot stone which is a fun way to enjoy your food. The sushi was absolutely succulent and by far the best I’ve had in Washington DC. I’ve always ordered from this place on DoorDash or Uber eats and finally I was able to stop in and have an experience in the flesh if you will! First of all, the decor, stellar! I really enjoyed the little mini hand towel at the table that puffs up after it’s soaked in water! Nice touch. I LOVE THEIR VEGETABLE TEMPURA!!!!! A MUST!!! Great to start with and then just dive in! Try the Alaska roll. Thank me later

Great atmosphere and amazing food. Got the Hachi's Omakase Course (Tasting Menu) and it was amazing. Got to try alot of new foods and sushi I've never had. Including wagyu beef which you could cook on a hot stone! Wonderful experience... you won't regret it Update: went back again still amazing
