My husband and I have been a big fan of El Fuego for years! He is Peruvian and considers El Fuego his favorite Peruvian restaurant. We recently got married and had El Fuego cater our wedding. First of all, Lucia had us in for an amazing tasting of the dishes we were interested in for the wedding. She was extremely easy to work with and flexible! They delivered the food to our venue on the day of and everyone loved it! Many people at the wedding have never had Peruvian food before but now they are big fans :) they were even able to bring a ceviche plate for my friend who does not eat meat and she said it was fresh and delicious.

1st time at this hole in the wall Peruvian Restaurant in Arlington, VA. What a pleasant surprise. Walked in as they were wrapping it up for the evening. We were received with the warmest smile. Great service, the food came out quickly and 🔥 hot. But the flavor and taste were right on point. Will definitely visit again when in the area.

Great place to stop and enjoy a Peruvian meal. Such nice people and truly delicious food! The lady at the register had great recommendations. I got the fish ceviche and shrimp stuffed avocado. They have plantains as well! There's a decent amount of seating inside and some tables outside as well. I highly recommend them!

The Ceviche was delicious, I wish we can have this restaurant in Indianapolis where I live since I moved 20 years from Peru

First the staff was super friendly and able to help answer questions on the offerings. The food was plentiful and very delicious. The beef was tender and flavorful with a subtle heat. Others in our group had pulled chicken in sauce. The plantains were baked and not fried and so delicious. Well worth a visit.

Was a last minute stop after a trip into D.C. to see the Christmas trees. This place did NOT disappoint one bit. The cashier/waitress was super friendly and patient while we looked over the menu to decide what we wanted. She was also very informative and made suggestions as to what was good. We settled on the Pan Con Chicharron, the Cuban sandwich and the Aji de Gallina. The food came out very quickly, was piping hot and DELICIOUS!! The Aji de Gallina was so flavorful and I told my husband that it was like eating comfort food. SO good! The Pan Con Chicharron sandwich was amazing. The meat was flavorful and moist - and the crunch of the red onion just added to the enjoyment. I would order this one again!! I love a Cuban sandwich and this one did not disappoint. Perfect Cuban sandwich! We washed it all down with a nice cold Inca Cola.😋 If you're in the area, this little hole-in-the-wall is a MUST TRY!

I loved this place so much. The food is delicious and the staff really helpful and friendly. I came by for dinner and tried the Lomo saltado, the pisco sour, the ceviche mixto and the Avocado salad with grilled shrimp. All the food was so well prepared, fresh ingredients, so tasty! We chatted with the owner as well and when we came back another day she remembered us and gave me a cookie for my mom :) she's really generous and helpful and doing a great job with customer service. I don't think you can go wrong with any food orders here. They are also starting smaller grab and go items like cookies and ice cream and they also have a vending machine. The food also tastes really authentic - I loved all the sauces that come with the food. The place is rather on the smaller side. They have some barstools and a large table in the center with a smaller table in the corner. Better to eat outside or take food to go since I'm sure the place gets crowded. I will definitely be back when in the area.

My husband and I are visiting the area and got dinner for his birthday tonight from this place, and we LOVED it! My husband is Peruvian and is originally from Peru and he was very impressed. Highly recommend! He got the Arroz con pollo and jugo de Maracuya. I got the lomo saltado and the chicha morada. We loved it. We also shared the yuca, and it was very fresh.

Outstanding customer service. Our server was from Mexico but explained all the Peruvian dishes in great detail, which we appreciated. She also recommended Peruvian drinks- chicha (sweet corn drink that is not as sugary as some sodas) and Cristal beer. Everything tasted great. Will go back!

Couldn't have been happier with what I got. The service was quick, helpful, and friendly. The food was absolutely delicious. I really enjoyed my time here. I was more than full after eating and I did not have to spend a bunch of money. The food was so good and I would highly recommend coming here. 10/10 I will hopefully be coming back again soon!
