Yummy. I have been a patron of Good Hope CarryOut for years through my parents. One of their infamous meals their is the Triple Delight. Even though I no longer eat red meat, that was one of my favorites. I now love the fish on a bun! Food is always hot and you get plenty.
Chicken always fresh. Good. Friendly service considering where they located.
Shrimp egg foo young was my favorite Chinese food. Would only order from this location. Problem is that management must've changed because the taste of food has dropped drastically.
My daughters and I have to stop here whenever we come up to visit my family. The Fried Chicken and Mumbo Sauce (our DC staple) has to be tried but that porkchop sandwich will melt in your mouth 😋
It was delicious & my 1st time trying a chicken box from a DC carry out! Call ahead so you can just pick it up & pay & avoid all the rif raff that may be present. There’s plenty of parking & it moves quickly. 5 wings fried hard, SPKH, Mumbo sauce, fried rice & a half/half to complete it. $15 but delicious. Customer service was nice but she’s not playing with you so come correct! 5/5
Call pick up your food and go. It stay crowed ,CASH ONLY. Combo Fried Rice is my go to. BUT we not sleeping on the wing and fries with Ketchup hot sauce and sauce mumbo .
Like I said it's state crowded so I'm quite sure there's other good dishes So bring your patience I suggest that you call At least 20 minutes before you pick Pick up.
First time going, and I wasn't disappointed. I ordered the Buffalo wings and fries ($11) per the reviewer's suggestion.

The closest thing to Baltimore carryouts. I don't eat chicken, bread, or pork, but I can attest to the good quality of their fries, steamed shrimp, egg rolls, fish, fried rice, and seafood platters. Every order I have gotten has been fresh and prepared on the spot.
The prices are OK and the employees are helpful. You can order over the phone to beat the lines that form, especially on the weekends. You get a free soda for orders over $20 and other free items when you spend $40+. Ask for more info on this or look at the menu.
They are open later than usual on Fridays and Saturdays. Good quality for your money.
diamond in the rough! very kind and extremely fast! called in my order walked 2 blocks and was delighted with a streak and cheese with a side of chicken wings! there's also a awesome Caribbean place down the street that's fully authentic Jamaican. this neighborhood has some awesome food!
The food was so fresh. They were extremely friendly and patient with me as I didn't know what I wanted. The staff there are very professional and very helpful with questions. The restaurant on both sides were very clean and tidy. I recommend this to any one who want good yet quick service and food
Is it the healthiest no. Is it good and does it make u feel good yes. Very flavorful food. I've been going here since I was a kid and its still the same unlike most things in dc. I love it.
Wings and Mumbo sauce is A1!!!!!!! AND who taught them that sweet tea secret, lol WOW the South would be proud of that Chicken and Sweet Tea, I drive here everytime I visit home from NC!!!
This is one of the best Carryout in southeast only things they don't deliver. But in this area the best carry-outs that cleaners carry-outs don't deliver or take debit or credit cards cash only baby I love you Good Hope carryout
