The low ratings are not consistent with the actual food. The food is pretty good, particularly for museums, and would definitely eat here again. It is highly convenient, although it gets very busy for the staff. Timing is everything for getting seats but turnover is pretty high. Plus extra points for eating under the shade of a Megalodon!
Limited selection, food is mediocre and kind of overpriced, but there is no charge to visit the museum. Staff made a good job in managing the huge crowd.
When I traveled to Washington DC to visit my family, I decided to try Atrium Cafe. And I loved the taste of the chicken quesadilla! And it turned out to be as good as a quesadilla from Chili’s and On The Border!
Two things: First, the food was not terrible, nor was it memorable. It filled the belly and did not make me regret the purchase. The cashier did not offer to open my bottle of soda, even though they are the only ones in the place with bottle openers. Easily solved, but still. Also, relish for the hotdogs was nowhere to be found, nor onions. Second thing is the prices. Prices for individual items are posted, but in places where you will not typically look for them. Look for small signs. Prices for items sold by weight (salads, etc) were nowhere to be found. Trust me, this ain't the cheap option. If you don't mind going through security again there are food trucks a-plenty outside.
Museum food is what it is. It costs more than food you make at home and likely not as good as home made. But when your need food Natural History's food is better than most.
Food was pretty good, prices were actually posted ($16/lb for self-serve). There is alcohol as well
Went for the first time today. My boyfriend and I loved the food!! Definitely going again
