An absolutely gorgeous, verdant, urban park that is a wonderful place to come sit at a bench, drink your morning coffee, eat a meal, or just gather your thoughts and take a quick break from the DMV pace.
Beautiful, open air park and square in the heart of downtown DC just blocks from Dupont Circle and the White House. The square is named after Civil War Admiral David Farragut who helped command key naval victories across battles in the Atlantic and New Orleans. During the day, it’s filled with tourists and locals alike, especially near lunchtime for the flurry of food trucks. Stop by in the summer to catch a movie on Friday evenings or some midday yoga as sponsored by the Golden Triangle. And during the springtime, be sure to see the beautiful tulips on the south side of the square.
A beautiful park to treat your eyes and some good food trucks to treat your appetite.
Always crowded during food truck season, but a nice place to enjoy the crossword on a park bench. When really crowded, folks will sit on the grass or the statue, as well. A good place to enjoy some sunshine in the heart of the city. Conveniently located right next to the Red and Orange line Metro stops with the same name, too.
Farragut Square Park is located right across the street from the Farragut North metro station. It's a nice park to sit in. There's a lot of foot traffic because it's just about two blocks from the White House, so it's very busy.
Nice place to enjoy inside of the city. Just beware of the homeless people that will bug you to death for change & smokes
Great location for metro station, coffee shops and, just a few blocks to the White House, the Washington monument and the rest of the Washington Mall.
Interesting little park. I really enjoyed my stay near here and it was very convenient to everything.
