Wonderful experience! I was thrilled to find this gem. I loved the vibe, it felt very welcoming and comfortable. Enjoyed a cold Guinness on the patio along with an AMAZING vegan roasted vegetable sandwich - hummus, carrots, parsnips, watermelon radish, tomatoes, peppers.... curried couscous with door county cherries for a side - and lovely dates for dessert. So good! Omnivore husband loved his tomato/mozzarella sandwich. The owner, Kate, was super helpful and kind. Loved it here and can't wait to visit again.

We stopped in here on a whim yesterday to grab a beer before heading back to the mainland. Guinness on tap,and a good variety of other craft beers available as well. We loved the relaxed atmosphere, charm of the building, and the old books that are available to peruse. We look forward to returning here again in the future to try their food.

Exceptional Eats, Special Space This restaurant is a real stand-out on Washington Island. Waiting for the Rock Island Karfi we picked up the special - roasted vegetable sandwiches with curried couscous and dried cherries. Served with pickle and brownie bites - an unexpected touch to round out a fantastic meal-on-the-go. The patio area is welcoming and spacious but the interior of this spot is really something special. Gorgeous, yet unfussy, filled with wonderful art and artifacts from seaside life, classic films and musical gems. Service was friendly and generous and reasonably speedy. HIGHLY RECOMMEND - seek out this special island spot!

Wonderful lunch. We ordered the beef tenderloin medallion with caramelized onions and horseradish Brie and the Duck breast with spiced cherry sauce and smoked gouda the were both delicious. The bread was wonderful. Kate was a delight and awesome chef

Kate does an amazing job and runs a top notch eclectic eatery and pub!! We've eaten here on every trip to Washington Island and too day her Salmon Wellington is to die for is an understatement!! Braving Deaths Door to eat and enjoy the music here is something you'll remember for a long time! You won't regret stopping by (but get there early if music is being played that evening)!!

I’ll be honest and say it wasn’t our first choice, but I’m so glad we found it! It is such a cute and eclectic restaurant. The ambiance is so fun, and all of the staff were so nice! We got a gyro with couscous, and a pizza. The little blueberry cobbler bites were cute, and the beverage selection was great! I also love that we were next door to the farm museum, so I was able to take the kids over there before we ate. 😁

A definite destination when visiting Washington Island. The decor is vintage eclectic, from the brass tile ceiling to the bar fashioned like a boat gunwail. The dining room is bright and comfortable. The food was great with mostly sandwich type fare, gyros, and they even had vegan options. Many great beers on tap and other drink options. The owner greeted us and made the experience memorable by sharing her essential oil secrets for good health. They have live music some nights. This was one of the most enjoyable restaurant experiences we have had. Posted hours are wrong. They are only closed Mondays and some Sundays.

Love the atmosphere here! The gyro might be the best I've ever had. Will definitely be returning next time we are on the island!

The food was absolutely amazing I had the roast duck sandwich and I'm not a big sandwich guy but that was the best sandwich I've ever had it does take a little bit for the food to be ready but that's just how you know it's fresh the ambiance is a little weird but still really fun it reminded my of my grandparents house.
